Very Interesting
Which I don’t mind in fact....may as well do something
Yes but polo may have made an offer to buy out gcm. If so polo price will crash. Tang has always wanted gcm so he may have bet the farm
GCM have doubled today and Polo have 29.9 % of them -----wakey wakey
On 14th February last year in an RNS the Company complained about inaccuracies of fact in P’s letter. It said that it was having difficulty in contacting P over the previous month but has failed to communicate to its shareholders the corrections of the alleged inaccuracies. We still don’t know. Probably good news for the investment in GCM, especially for its shareholders
No-one spotted the RNS?
Sam John calling for AGM to be conducted ASAP by telephone link and Chapman to be appointed non-executive director.
sorry, 40 pence a share
Yes, exactly. Mr Tang paid 40 each pence to Dattels.
terrible when you think how far this has fallen.
Barnet,
You weren't too far out with your estimate of 6p on 19th March. with the Company's estimate of 7.94 on 20th March
You will see that I'm on a "weak buy" although I'm not adding at the moment
There is underlying value here
I'm out too. What a relief!
I sold all of mine at 4.2p . I'm glad I did. Years of Pie in the Sky have come to nothing except a big fat annual payment to you know who.
I checked the offer price today for £250 ....1.75...and my finger hit the buy button. I tried to stop it.....too late. Ha ha.....
Thanks, Barnet. I know it’s only a guess but probably near enough to the right value. Depressing that he and his companies are still helping themselves. He’s also taken a big hit in the value of his shareholding
I’ll still hold on for the moment although it’d have to go to 10p before I turn a profit
At 6p it’s still four times the present price
Liquidate and distribute
about 6p I would guess. Tan is taking his big salary so in time there will be little left. All invested in oil and resource stocks that are tanking. I sold out most at 4p and the balance at 3p and I wouldnt touch this even at this price. Could see this fall to 0.5
Anyone hazard an educated guess of the current NAV of investee holdings?
Auto correct got it wrong
Hib Pet taken a big hit, that will have a big effect here. Probably too late to sell up, have to wait it out.
Beeshoney
The only positive comment on Tang I’ve read on this Board; I hope your faith in him is not only well founded but will bear fruition
RNS link does not work for me. Read it here: https://www.investegate.co.uk/polo-resources-ltd--pol-/rns/hibiscus-petroleum---investment-update/202002260700021130E/
Hibiscus continuing to deliver.
i understand the thoughts & feelings here in polo & im a holder too, but like Redeyemine, M.Tang deal making is outstanding regards GCM ,its known his interests in polo where really to obtain GCM he has both in, connections & deal making ability a opportunity to created the most outstanding deal for all in Bangladesh,Governments included , look at the giants he has partnered with,, its now at the stage its time is now, Bangla in spite of much hot air has not been able to move forward with producing power,, pennywise pound stupid comes to mind,,, once he lands GCM every polo holder would be many x£ better off,
the other investments speak for themselves,,to block or interfere with what he has achieved is madness to my mind,,
if GCM does not succeed then its different,, but that will not effect our value NPV ,
Sam John to my mind ATM is insanity,
Your points are valid, Redeye. Trouble is, I HAVE looked closely at GCM - over a very long time now. And I've looked at Tang-era Polo for a very long time. You clearly have more faith in the GCM position now than I do, and both positions are sustainable. But for me there comes a point at which I cry "enough is enough". And the current unseemly spat, with yesterday's (Late Friday's) distasteful RNS's, may be that point.
I'm a pragmatist, but some of me also says I'd love to see the likes of Tang "get his just deserts". Impossible - he can't lose - but the best we can do.
Be careful you don't get what you ask for here-----you could be cutting off your nose to spite your face-----don't bite the hand that could feed you.
-Look carefully at GCM------if it comes off, it's worth billions, and you are being offered a huge chunk of it.
----Yes I know Mr Tang will come out of it better than all of you ect ect----but so what ?
-
-If Tang goes , then so does this stake in GCM---then what-----liquidate a few assets, and pay a pittance to SH------what a waste.
-
-Think again before you try to oust Mr Tang.
