Wilfred1 , see below.
Highland Gold Mining Limited (LON:HGM) has agreed to a takeover offer from Fortiana Holdings Limited that values the group at just over £1bn.
The AIM-listed firm said under the deal Fortiana will offer Highland Gold investors 300p per share, a 3.8% premium on its closing price on Thursday, to purchase the 40.06% of the company’s shares that it does not already own.
If I remember right, I am sure fortiana holdings had a stake in dog for a while.
Wilfred1 Yes Highland gold was taken over. I will find out some more info and post.
Wilfred1, Lawrence,
you may not agree with it but net zero is a fantastic business opportunity. The big question is who will own it. Elon did a quick about turn on crypto last week as it contradicts the Tesla experience. I can see anti-crypto legislation coming, which might be Gold positive.
Good luck everyone for tomorrow.
Hi Rustbucket.//.. Thanks for your correction re Highland Gold.. I cant see it named in the UK stock listings..so is it still trading?
I had been watching it for a while then it seemed to disappear from the radar..?
Do you know anything about that group??
Well as for Monday's results I see not one person has dared to say good. middling or bad, even more so the hedging critic.
Caron emission crap. The left, the opportunist goverment gravy trainers have pushed anthropogenic Co2 for the past 40 years. Nothing has happened, nothing. All that cladding on tower blocks was to meet co2 target pressure and then Grenfell happened and it all has to come off with private owners being hit with a massive deal. Its one giant gravy train like electric cars . A massive hike in the cost of living to pay for a scare story with no substance
From NASA the antarctic sea ice for April 2021
"Antarctic extent for April 2021 was 7.08 million square kilometers (2.73 million square miles), 230,000 square kilometers (88,800 square miles) above the 1981 to 2010 average "
wilfred1, where did you get we merged with Highland gold. WE did not ???? The CEO came over along with a number of his cronies, but we did not merge.
The main reason for the lowish share price, I thought , was that they underperformed market expectations regarding gold excavations. Coupled with the squable /power struggle for control of this business/ and associated shananegons. Throw into the mix inflation risks, and how much have they lost through forward sales of, as yet, unmined gold at discount rates to current market prices, and who knows?
Is it the case that they merged with Highland gold, to form a bigger unit, and if so should we be rexpecting some further economies of scale. If they can produce some credible numbers, they could see a moderate rise in coming months.. Who knows how much blame they will apportion to the Covid virus, etc.. if the numbers turn out to be a bit below par. It has already been mentioned that Iron ore prices have been high in recent times and I`d see that improving further as demand increases.
Then again , who knows what will happen to these industries as the drive to meet/curb carbon emissions takes hold.
Predictions for Mondays FY 2020 Financial Results
My prediction is a spun poor
Lawrence13, Strukhov, doesnt control the BOD or the company. He is a large shareholder only. If he ever wanted to take control I think there would be plenty against, IMHO.
Sometimes ago, research@Krss had predicted UGC doesn’t want dividends against the prevailing market view. Results can not be poor, even third party concentrate imo was secured before Covid, so merging should be reasonable. Right now , buying third party has high downside risk, that’s why Co is in risk averting mode
If my theory runs true and Stuckoff wants to takeover he and his people on the board will want a poor 2020 financial result set of figures
Well, I hope your right, we are due an upturn.
Comparatively vs. 2019 POG will do well. I think 2.7p EPS
Vs 2019 which was 0.8p.
So do we see a rise into the close later regarding final results ?
All I would say Lawrence13. I just hope its sorted, one way or the other, we ned a resolution to this , AND the investigation.
2020 financial results and Pavel up in court on Monday. Pavel's original date was the 23rd I believe
