Don’t forget TD is sitting on over 30m of these mothers, on paper he feels the sp far far more than anyone posting here. Also his not getting any younger, he’ll have an eye on the bigger picture.,,
SK, comedian....the nurse is obviously keeping you happy. Best
PMO capitalised at 650m GBP Zama alone valued at circa 400m GBP, probably already presold. Do the sums guys, short term gain yes, but how much do you think sp will jump when sale announced? & please don’t say price already baked in.. that would make Catcher/Tolmount/big P etc etc as cheap as chips.
Sauer my old friend - I am a trader. I am just saying this is a good investment now.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The other thing to remember is GS could tip this upside down and push the price right up specially if they get the news before any of us.
Jay111 - why did you get out of bed this morning?
If this gets to 74p I’m going to buy a load more, Zama could add 50% to the SP just on news alone. I’m going to stick my neck out and say PMO will ask for at least $600m for it.
Zama sale, if it happens is a long drawn out process and real world valuations never match PI expectations, to suggest any imminent sale and rerating is nonsense.
In the meantime, recession looming, a likely nodeal Brexit economic crisis and a declining oil price. How do you see that affecting PMO SP?
PMO is a SELL imo.
This stock isn’t being manipulated by the short positions, the shorts ride on the back of the day traders that constantly jump in and out causing the volatility. Once the day traders clear off then they will follow.
Most on this BB are guilty of the above.
Sauer - it isn't, if they sell Zama for $400m + that changes everything. The EBIT multiple on debt will be closer to that of a normal company, PMO could be viewed to be able to ride out an oil crisis so people may feel less averse to buying it.
I am out still but will get in soon. Just wish oil had been $70+ for trying to sell Zama.
Back down we go FFS
Will this ever hold its gains.............
If this loses the gain from such a great RNS over the next week (given oil price steady) then we have absolutely no chance against these shorters and the fact they relentlessly put downward pressure, I will accept that they will not be going away anytime soon. Even with a potential sale and SP rising, it does not put them off.
Not being negative, but possibly see them taking this back down to 70p and where we started.
TR61 your 100% correct re TD and Sauer also - you both been here as long as me so we know what TD is like and this situation with arbitrage and Shorts has steadily got worse during Td's tenure
We need to see a change at the helm before we will see any material shareholder value - his style of management, his reaction (or lack of it to material situations) is so transparent and his inability to lead and drive this company to new highs is what all these 'bloodsuckers' are thriving from - so you wont see that change until Td is change - simple but true
TD will get the money in, tell the board he reduced debt , get his bonus, bank it, then spend the Zama money ...thinking nhe can turn these into profit each time, but one day it turns against you.
agree, he thinks he is the next Branson.....
Anyway, it was right think to do to sell Zama, will give him credit for that, but was not big worldly decision to make.
Plus you would have the banks probably advising him to sell it, to ensure their loans safe.....as they can call that money in, if problems in the future.
Could not agree more.
Just sheer manipulation.
I think cashf is spot on.The sp would be a lot higher were it not for the mad ideas of TD and the risk he will implement one, imv.
Beerbull, it will indeed be a buy again at end of today if this fall continues which i expect it to retrace following the 9% rise yesterday - its the short positions and GS controlling this not the FTSE or TD IMO
Fair points Cashferret, but I guess you can apply those points to the whole market. I try not to trade, unless the facts change, given that PMO’s sp was touching 1.50 last year & we know look in great shape, it’s a buy for me.
You’d have to be mad to now
Yep Kraken, the Zama sale will most certainly see a kick north but i dont feel that will announe any time soon - i see Powell risk, Bond Yields dipping again, overall market weakness, US /China trade, PMO short positions growing nearer 6% in excess of 5% holdings, large holdings by GS et al for shorting and arbitrage as bigger issues on the radar right now.
Thats all, quite frankly, a shame considering such a spondicious RNS and i agree future prospects look solid for a change until TD has another mad idea to buy BP or similar LOL.
I will be in again for sure just wanted to take some profit
GLA
Shake out the week first thing followed by another strong push north later.
Zama sale confirmation could land at any time.
