Excellent news and I do hope we get a re-rating to this level as the figures suggest we should now be at 10p particularly given the bullish statement re: forward orders and enquirys
For sure
BOOOOOOOM
There appears to be some steady and in the context of the size of the company, reasonably good sized buying going on in the past couple of days.
A prelude to some good news and decent rally on the SP pre-Christmas?
Brexit will have acted as a drag, Hamodeh82, which imho make the figures even more impressive.
I appreciate the debt in the hands of Gordon Watt is meaningful but in the context of todays results, this should start to come down in the medium term.
I welcome todays rise but cant help but feel somewhat underwhelmed by the closing price. I would like to believe there will be some RNS's to follow announcing various QM contract wins which should propel us forward.
I retain a healthy exposure to PIP so am happy to hold rather than adding further for the moment.
True. good result and SP should be 40% up from here. However, they mentioned that brexit uncertainty had affect orders and will continue to do so. In general, I will keep my investment low and not invest heavily now till i see 2nd year consecutive profits, more revenue or on further news.
Anyway, i feel that this might do like "ZOO" in the coming years.
A ridiculous bid/ offer spread....
We should be knocking on 9p+ of have thought
Agreed Brightonsparky.
Given how the SP has previously risen to almost double these levels on far lesser and more disappointing results, I am surprised it hasn't responded more positively and spiked a lot higher. We still have the remainder of the day for the market to wake up to the results and with such a low market cap, and ultra low PE ratio, it won't take much buying to perk the SP up.
After years of teasing us with large contract wins, it’s great to see profit emerging, along with some optimistic outlook.
Today should see some positive activity on the share price ??
A really excellent set of results together with a very optimistic outlook for the future.
We have been patient for this moment and finally we appear to be well set for the future. Lets see how the market responds as at these levels, PIP looks a snip.
Sorry, been in and out of PIP over the years - just read the contract RNS and obviously did not compare the size of the contract to previous wins - it's all good news whether £60k, £600k or £6 million :-)
£600k contract on a £2m MC is far from little lol
Nice new contract £600k every little helps :-)
Well, patience is finally being rewarded albeit we have had to wait quite some time.
Any more contracts in the pipeline, Pipehawk....?
It would have been kind of them to have updated us on the Sales Teams's activity over recent months and whether we are working on / close to signing further contracts.
Welcome news none the less.
For a change ,just have to be patient here
Well, big for this company. Hopefully somebody organising at the end of the tax year and not selling on inside info. Interesting that both sells seem to have been instant and not 'worked' thru the day, so, not a problem shifting them.
Agreed, fingers crossed Jam 🤞
quite positive/ neutral, would be my assessment as well. Salaries are still being deferred though by top management and until that flips around and we start paying back we are going to be in the same trading pattern.
Don't worry, market will soon spot good news here and if new contracts are announced this will spike again. Unless you are glued to the screen all the time you will have to set a limit sell to catch that spike though. good luck
So the half year results are out - all quite positive for a successful year, but no movement on share price and little to no activity? Has it just gone unnoticed as it was released early?
In my opinion it’s ludicrously undervalued at 5p Half year results in a couple of months, should see some decent profits and a 10p plus share price without issue.
The trading pattern of this share means you have to set a limit sell to get best value. This time I called it right and was set at 8.0. People are wise to this now and I think that is why we didn't reach the height of the May spike although we are probably in better health now. Yes, the chairman has subbed this project for a long time but things seem to be back on track so kudos to him. I will be interested to see how the take-over of Thomson engineering pans out and if it can become profitable. Some history here: I bought into this back in early 2000's at @ 14p. I remember taking profits at @26p ; since then we have been as low as 2.0p (2011). I think we will return to 10p+ and to hold the value but not just yet, need some pay cheques coming in first. GLA
Not always about the size of the contract , more important is the financials . Plenty with huge turnover but little profit if any.
Plus if you add up all the previously won contracts these double if not triple to current market cap. They are now a profitable company with with new contract. Anyway under 7p per share is a bargain
In July last year a £1.6M contract won sent the sp to 10p from below 4p, today they have announced a contact win of £2.6M, significantly more and the sp is at 7.25p currently... adding to the fact it is worth more than the entire companies market capitalisation!
