Just noticed on BBC breakfast the almost empty shelves in a supermarket. One of the very few remaining products was a number of boxes of Mr Kipling cakes. Sort of says it all really
I sold out at 48p in Jan 17 and bought back next day at 40p so thankfully not in too bad a position yet. Sorry for those stuck on higher averages. Darby really shafted us and deserves anything that comes his way
On the subject of that shady deal, I seem to recall reading that someone like FCA was investigating what went on. Anyone heard any update on that. Seems to me it's the only way we'll get rid of the little weasel.
I hear you. I took a load of mine out, what I could at profit, and moved it elsewhere not that long ago...left the remainder here for now, with no expectation of hitting profit on that lot, ever. I'm looking forward to the day darby is tossed in jail...related to the trading around the nissin deal and misleading shareholders around the deal, the McCormick offer, and his promise of the immediately pending sales growth for pf...just before he issued the profit warning...could never believe a word he said....
....this doesn't feel like a normal dip in sp back to it's low of 5 years ago, that we see every little while, under darby - not when it's coupled with the recent resignation of two key senior management figures...followed by an internal promotion into the UK Marketing Director role when the company needed change and some grey matter...feels more like some people know some things we don't know regarding what's coming next. Any financial convenants pf is going to fail to meet that anyone is aware of? Anything coming due? We're almost at the point for another 52p per share bid - could be an interesting March. I'm looking forward to the next batch of lies Darby will tell us.
Just to add, I have never felt more at ease in a share than I do at the moment which is more that I can say about my years in Pfd. F*****G NIGHTMARE more like it
Of this dog of a share 6 -12mths ago at a loss of 20-30k. Would never buy back whilst criminals run it. Got my money in an aim stock which I never thought I would do, but if you want to see how a company should be run then take a look at SML.
but management will be silent and hidden in there hide outs, only come out on the scheduled result days to give more fairy tales to stay in jobs and enjoy all the comforts of a cushy job that delivers nothing.
Cheers all.....gonna sit tight and live (for the moment at least) in blind hope.......
Still hopeful that PFD will come good in April, depends on how much Kiplings cakes etc have been discounted- they do seem cheap on the shelves. Overall expect sales revenue to be 2-3% above last year. Market value currently 370 and N.A.V. from last years accounts 720m, so surely some room for an uplift. Prediction from Darby that net debt will be lower at year end accounts. . Lets hope so, but by how much. I think we should be back in 50's in May
it must be part of the management master plan to ensure small holders do not get any return and then they get scared off into selling, the problem for the people who keep holding is this Darby master plan could go on for a long time, as Darby is in no hurry, five years already, could be another 5 years. If he can't cover up good news, he then goes on a money wasting spree, to ensure debt does not go down, therefore keeping the patient on life support.
gut, sit tight, do not let the cold that the antics of these criminals panic you into giving up your stock.
Getting worried now..........got so much tied up in this and can just imagine some terrible news coming out the blue (a la BHS....Carillion....Maplins.....Toys R Us etc etc). Gulp....
Do we know what the spread was at that time? As in, the market was bad yesterday, could it have been a cheap buyer?
So, who do we think has bailed out ?
HC, Off the Hargreaves Lansdown site....largest volume trades of yesterday: volume, share price, value 13:50 - 01/03 Sell 1211917 39.37p 477,128.09 13:50 - 01/03 Sell 288083 39.37p 113,417.41 13:36 - 01/03 Sell 166000 39.00p 64,740.00 16:10 - 01/03 Sell 60000 39.00p 23,400.00
Sorry, don't have access . How large? What price?
now banned here in Canada apparently they have too much dairy fat content, so much for improving exports.
Must say those very large 3 ordinary trade sells in the past few hours are a little worrying. I hoped our day's of -40p were over. Why, why did I get into PDF?
some volume with SP being driven lower.
Not much margin, but they would get huge volume.
Not much margin on that one then.......but thanks
Yes you can!! But it is an Aldi one, made by Mr Kipling!!!
Please can I have one ?......cant afford food on my PFD dividend !
Last year 6 Mr Kipling Apple pies were 1 at Iceland. Yesterday, I bought 6 from Tesco for 82p!!!
