M&G shares down 5.5% today , Prudential up 1.5%
Maybe the City doesnt like what's been passed over to M&G to now manage
PDL only 0.66% of the M&G Fund anyway
Not sure we know that do we? M&G could have been buying at the same time.
No one has bought or sold in those RNSs - purely a change of ownership as a result of the demerger. Although does raise questions as to where the other 3.5% odd came from in the current M&G holding
be interesting to see if shorts start closing this week
not selling my PDL's to some institution at 7p
Wonderful Kabaa, good job i own a few!
Wasn’t aware of that but makes sense, although still strange that it wasn’t directly in M&Gs name previously - given that some shares must have been for it to jump to nearly 8.8%. Seems like similar notifications have popped up on several other shares as well as a result of this.
Givingthelowdown
This stock has been trashed from £1.50 because of lack of Institutional interest. 2 or 3 institutions have sold out in the last year with no buyers to replace them.
Many saying ii's won't touch this because it's too risky.
Now we have a very aggressive institutional buyer who seems to be buying on the open market + have bid for ALL of Prudential's stock and taken them straight out.
1. A very serious buyer interested (in 60 odd million shares)
2. They may continue to buy
3. You can bet they have done their homework -
4. This is seriously bullish and petra way oversold
5. Shorters were piggybacking a different ii seller. Now they're naked short 12m
6. etc
Hold for double figures guys. I said this would break the 50dma this week and it looks like it could do today/tomorrow morning.
That explains those UT trades earlier, we knew sommat fishy was going down
This notification is being made solely as a result of the demerger of Prudential plc and M&G plc, resulting in a change of control from Prudential to M&G.
there must be an II buyer.
Thanks Liam, think i am getting the hang of how this works
exactly
Pru sold and someone bought them all, plus some more.... great sign to the market!!!
Oh, now I get it, they were holding us down the mother****ers, who has bought the 8% to pus price up?
market makers took frice down to fill the amount being bought and sold. That now completed up is the theme
Yeh I saw their name, so if Pru have sold , why has price gone up?, sorry , classroom dunce here, be patient with me
transfer of share on the market? thats why price been dropping? thats over now up she gores!
Pru have actually sold all of their holding! It’s all in the two RNSs!
I don't think we could have asked for a more positive short/medium/long term sign. Excellent news.
This is a game changer....we have lift off
Hang on ,whats happened, looks like the PRU have bought, how many??
8.74% thats way better than any directory buy!!
Buy buy buy
when news get out, tomorrow looking very good
The fact they've taken everything Prudential has in one block speaks volumes.
