so is that it now for PAG or is it going to be just as feisty tomorrow ?
How many cold showers have you taken today in PAG?
anyone?
FC you are correct but words make it so much easier than taking action.
I think we're all safer buying and selling furniture right now! Want my office desk anyone?
No disrespect to any body here. The last two postings have had me in stiches here. Nice way to enter the Weekend, and a nice one to All.
it probably helps if you like 'Bungy jumping'
All the best - it's a bit too scary for me! A real roller-coaster! So I hope it a good one, rather than ending up sick!! Perhaps a full-body harness required, rather than a mere seatbelt! Take it easy! ATB
yeh i am not in this for a long term investment, just to get in a day trade through its volatility. I dont have any stock in paragon at present. I bought and sold in the day today. I am in NRK for the long
Guys be very careful here - it's more like "Para-gone". This lot are hovering on the edge of the abyss [far more so than even NRK] The rights issue = a massive dilution for stock-holders, and the BTL market is totally down the tubes! ATB
yeh even late in the day its fluctuating like billy O. Anyway over for today, will see what happens monday. Wish more shares were like this lol
but in the meantime good for gaining a few quid on the volatility of this share dont you think? You probably done better than most today
YES. I appear to have the knack of buying at the top end and then watch as they fall. There are a few shares that I should have bought as day trades and would have done well on them but i have lost my nerve a bit at the moment.
anyone clear on what qualifies you to be a 'qualifying shareholder' for this rights issue? do you have to have held the share by what date and not just bought and sold the shares on a certain date? am unsure of of this, anyone clear on this?
anyone elses portfolio look like crap at the moment...
Think why you bought them in the first place. If nothing has changed then stick with it. If you are uncertain then sell half (realise a loss which you can carry forward each Tax year) and then maybe trade the balance. You can ask for all the advice in the world but it is YOU who has to make the decision.
i bought at 2000 at 136p. what should i do now
thats righ, I made a few pennies to, but like you siad to volitile to try your hand unless your ready to lose as well as gain.. could so easily have dropped again. been caught to many time buying on the bounce for it to quickly turn and drop further
though sayng that some people on here made a bomb today , i only made a few hundred, not the thousands that others did. but profit is a profit. But yeh this is far too volatile for a first timer
I would not recomend this for a first stock.. dropped like a rock today, consolidation to come, are you sure you want to buy into something that will give you a starting lose.... read davius post below. One of the few people one any Board that i would say is honest as the day is long.
it is a little volatile for a firstimer i would saybut if you like the high fluctuations then go for it. I use barclays stockbrokers and trade online www.stockbrokers.barclays.co.uk
Paragon certainly looks like an excellent buy for the first timer! Could somebody please guide me as to the best place/way (internet etc) of buying paragon shares?
Enough for me, out at 70.5p. Good luck if you're still in.
The shares have been moving up steadily from 60p or so and have just gone into auction at 69.5p
Sorry, I didn't post that in response to your query, just so that peeps could see the recommendation. Here's an example of how it will work that I posted onto advfn in response to someone that asked what would happen if they'd bought 1000 shares at £1 each. In your example your £1K bought you 1000 shares. These will be consolidated on a 1 for 10 basis, so you will have 100 shares. You will then be offered 5 new consolidated shares at £1 each for every 2 non-consolidated shares you currently hold (the 10p ones), you will therefore be offered 2500 new shares at £1 a piece. If you take up the full rights your holding will be 2600 consolidated shares at a cost of £3500. You would need the consoldated SP to rise to £1.346 to get your money back. Edit: If you bought 1000 shares now at 66p (current price) then your outlay would be £3160 for your 2600 shares, £1.22 or so each.
