Report...., but have the financial firepower to make a decisive move, which I anticipate we will announce soon. Love it Financial FIREPOWER
And this will fly, limited free float
Welcome back Oli12 .. hopefully next week will continue the sp growth but give you a chance to get in first. I'm assuming we are at least 2-4 weeks to the announcement otherwise they would have tried to announce it alongside today's news. Management are such big shareholders (and there is so much in the cash/poly shares kitty) that either a special div or winding up would be a good way of them taking proper value off the table rather than their salaries. Last purchase today at 10p
Patience was always the key here, after holding shares for several years I sold out earlier this year as my patience had ran out, additionally there were better opportunities to get into FPM and CGH. I still agree that the market cap vs cash disparity makes this look attractive. I was warned by many here to be wary, I still am however given the management are major holders one hopes they won’t just splurge the cash for the sake of keeping the company going and allowing them to keep their salaries for a few more years. Might get back in if I can prior to any news. Happy the loan is now written off ending this saga with Taymura.
Share price is rising now. The board have something up their sleeve, no need for the “I anticipate we will announce soon” comment but they’ve decided to say this when they didn’t need to. So that’s promising. I like the talk of maximising shareholder value too. I think it’s more of a question of when not if.
Anybody been watching the price closely today? ... I've bought a few and been doing dummy buys ... based on the prices I was quoted I think every share traded today was actually a buy. I don't know how many PI's are on holiday today/next week with a bank holiday and half-term but if this share gets noticed over the weekend then who knows how quickly it could move next week (it shot up in 2016 and again in 2017)
Even though the news is not what we really wanted to hear with regards the court case, what the market loves is clarity and I hope that they will now put their efforts in to building up their asset portfolio. When they do then I can see the SP rocketing from here considering what cash/cash equivalents they have behind them. Good Luck Lennie
Agree with you SlowLearner. I just hope we get the news of the plan in a few weeks not months and months. The next announcement could set the share price charging upwards. Odds are it will, with this current valuation any reasonable plan let alone something very exciting will be the catalyst for a rise to a sensible value
Hooray ... After 5 years of waiting we have some clarity. Management admitted at the 2017 agm that they were waiting for the court case to be resolved before they acted (acquistion, mbo, special div, etc as per last year's posts). It's a shame it has gone against us but if we had won it would have been appealed (&dragged on) so now, as the ceo says in today's statement, they will "make a decisive move, which I anticipate we will announce soon"!!! Current market cap £7.5m, cash and poly shares $27m ie over £20m (and up on 2017). Ie even without including their dormant gold project their assets are c3 times market cap. Someone bought 500k shares in April (Ie after court case result) ... That could be one of the sweetest quick £100k's made on aim if the sp reflects the assets when the ceo announces
One would hope at some point before Armageddon but I wouldn't bet on it. They are getting a very nice income from the cash and Polymetal's dividends so no real incentive to do much of anything. If they actually did do something positive then the share price would have every reason to rocket given the market capitalisation to net asset ratio.
