The asset IS in the UK. Company confirmed so......
Feels like ORM are just protecting the opportunity in front of them. Nothing to stop someone else crashing the party especially if drill results meet expectations....just a thought
Interesting research and thoughts on Lockwood and the Mackenzies. Peak may just be a nod to the peak district on Sheffield's doorstep, just a name to go with the Sheffield base. So a nickel project anywhere in the world perhaps? Looks like PNL have acquired something somewhere or have it under contract.
I also think the asset may be stateside . Note the junior geologist spent a year in Arizona at some Uni after qualifying in the UK. He was on Linkedin yesterday, reckon he has been getting loads of hits and has now gone dark, unless I just cannt find him. My original search was under Peak Nickel
Interesting that CJM appointed to “Peak Minerals” 2015 and now “Peak Nickel” 2017 around same time as appointment to “Southlands Exploration” and more recently “JDH Exploration” and now this RTO which would suggest one of these entities may have found something of interest, but needs a listed vehicle to progress with the find - hence the RTO and £4m to fund it.
The Mystrry Machine has been investigating if not trolling.
The term "UK based" may mean no more than the company is registered in Sheffield. The RNS says Peak Nickel ltd has NO assets. Therefore it has no licence, no claims. Hopefully we paid a pile of cash for something but the RNS is deliberately not helpful.
The suggestion of a SW Scotland nickel mine is interesting but what is that suggestion based on? A few tons were extracted as a trial but ithat mine didn't really get going. I also see an unwelcome reference to ****nic in the area.
The 3rd director, Lockwood, lives in Canada. There are claims called Nickel Peak in BC but they they were acquired by SKRR in October 22. Another blind alley.
The 2 McKenzie directors are also directors of Peak Minerals Ltd. My spirits rose when I found that Peak Minerals Ltd holds 5 copper projects in Western Australia. But it's a completely different Peak Minerals. Nothing to do with the Mackenzies.
I parked The Mystery Machine for the night. Hopefully someone here will point out that I have misread the RNS. The best spin I can see is that the location of the target is being kept secret because they don't yet hold any claim or title. There must be a target. They're going to drill something.
It's a UK based asset. My guess is it's something to do with Talnotry Nickel Mine in South West Scotland
Looks like Stewart Leroy Lockwood (a PNL director) is the co sec of Aztec Minerals (mining projects in Mexico and Arizona)

The deal will have been brokered by our largest shareholder as it's his team running the show!
At least there is no froth or ramp up in SP. If the deal does not get done we still have our cash value
Nothing on their website either
https://peaknickel.co.uk/
Not much to get excited about.
At least we know we have at least circa £4.5m left in Ormonde’s account!
This had better be worth it after a long long wait since our largest shareholder vetoing the copper deal that sank the share price.
PNL not been going long:

Well, there we have it.
At least we have something to have a look into while we're suspended.
Let's get digging...literally and metaphorically...
Fingers crossed is about all we can do... much as before.
Good luck all of us!
Deal done, shares suspended, fingers crossed it all gets completed and it trades again.
Part of me wonders if that's not the point too. A certain SOMEONE could pick up a rake of shares cheap on the fear of it. And all they gotta do is keep stumm on The info front.
For myself I've been here that long I'll take the risk. It does make me laugh to think about the aul almonty offer of 6 p a share from way back.
I gave out about how low ball an offer that was back then. I'd bite the hand off ya for it now ??
It's a game of chicken basically. Wanting to hold and win big with an RTO that'll send the SP ballistic, but at the same time knowing I've got to jump and get out whilst it's still possible before de-listing.
Come on BoD talk to us.
Although shareholders could be stuck in limbo with a solvent de-listing, unable to crystallise a loss, no market to sell into.
the only good news we have is that all this interminable waiting is near over .
in two months we'll either have good news and a decent prospect of the stock hitting 3 to 6c or so.
or an absolute collapse as the company delists and we cant GIVE the stock away.
its a damning indictment of the crowd that ran this company for so long , but its where we are. for myself im sticking with it as IMO the reverse take over of dunraven is the deal. its based on NOTHING but what weve all been aware of for years now, but thats what it looks like to me.
in fairness though at this stage my investment here can works just as well as a tax write off now. i dont want that outcome as ive been in this since 2011 or so, but im sitting on an absolute killing from another stock i got when the covid hysteria was at its zenith and the gains there would offset any loss i'd make here on the tax front.
We really need to hear from the BoD urgently.
It's been 21 months from the ROC deal collapse, and 4 months from the La Zarza sale and becoming a cash shell. There are just 2 months to go to do a deal/RTO before de-listing. If ORM delists, retail investors want to be well out because it'll be very difficult to sell then.
Shareholders will be getting twitchy. I certainly am.
Do you wait in the hope of a deal, or sell now? The later you leave it to sell, the more risk the price could drop, or it may become impossible to sell at all if there's a sudden mad scramble for the exit.
The BoD need to update the market now.
So what did they say.
Of course we're not delisting
As if they were gonna say anything different.
What do you think.....
Personally hoping for a few more sellers over the next few weeks so I can grab more. Got all excited when I saw 0.6 on the screen, only to find it was MMs screwing the impatient
Did they give any clue to when they would release any info?
Ive been in touch with the company, delist not on the cards ;-)
there would be a big pot of money to help develop KDR facility now they have the licence. Just one of a number of possibilities, distribution of assets to shareholders low down on that list, just imho.
No deal yet?
