Latest production above 27,500 and we have a number of developments planned which may increase those number into 2019...
They wrote off half of Fortuna at 300 million... they still have a carrying value of 300 million which will be written off if we don’t hear anything over the next few weeks ... if it disappears it’s not the end of the world! The uncertainty isn’t helping ....
Had these at 70p a long time ago. Luckily I was forced to sell up and buy a property. Thankfully it was a blessing albeit pure luck. Is it true that it’s current production is 11,500 bopd and with Santos this adds up to 25,000 bopd ???
I believe $310m was written off from balance sheet for Fortuna. If that was to come back then that would be a present. Don't think happening though.
Our resident BOT was very aggressive today in its buying, complete turnaround from the past many months.
The RNS has clarly spelt out the buying opportunity atm that OPHR shows.
Once we breakout of the downward trend that has shackled the SP for the past +2 years, we could potentially see +80p within 12 months given the status quo.
Don't rule out a renewal of interest in Fortuna, if so this will ignite the SP.
Also, with the poor pound performance, UK equities appear one of the most attractive in the world for foreign buyers.
It’s neither 1, 2 or 3! The market has simply undervalued the assets and the cash flow ability Ophir and is now ready for a correction to the upside! Simples
Correction, +11% positive
I know the RNS was positive but surely it wasn't +8% positive. Here are my two theories: 1. Some kind of takeover precursor...or at least makes us more attractive 2. Moving pieces to allow some big fortuna announcement to be made 3. We are being pumped, ready to be dumped Any thoughts on which is happening? I'm hoping for 1, scared it's 3 and think 2 is highly unlikely
This should never have been this low, what a bargain.
Thats more like it, sudden step up on the book.
The last RNS news has been positive so decided to average down as hopefully we have seen the bottom?!? Interested in other posters views on the potential for a takeout. I have seen comment it would be cheaper for the majors to take out smaller expo companies than finance some of their own exploration. Are any of our assets particularly prized by the big boys?
Good luck to all
Could be in a net cash position by end of Q1 !! Not bad .... add in additional production gains expected and soon cash stash will be increasing sharply
The RNS just reiterates how strong a company and undervalued OPHR is now.
2019 will see a considerable improvement in sentiment and this will follow through into our SP.
The recovery is underway right now and the finances have been shown to the market that we are not a debt laden company, but one with great production assets and revenue.
Santos deal was pivotal and it amazed me we have fallen so much since the deal.
Should see an easy return to c40p
Roth1,
Indeed so .....
"Having experienced a strong production performance during 2018, and with commodity prices ahead of budget for the majority of the year and lower capex payments, Ophir now expects to end the year with net debt of US$65 million (with the RBL drawn down by US$250 million by early-January) versus previous guidance of US$110 million. Additionally, with the increased RBL capacity, gross liquidity (cash and undrawn available borrowings) at year-end is expected to be US$360 million versus previous guidance of US$260 million"
Debt reduction suggests production is way ahead of earlier projections. Great news!
Maybe not in 12 months, got carried away. Too early.
The debt reduction is hugely significant. Exciting year ahead. GLA
Great assets secured, no share dilution, rare for oil exploration!
Good news, hence reason for rise yesterday .... OPHR has got its house in order of the foreseeable
Yes very good ! Happy to finally be back around break even
At least we closed above 35, been a while.
Ophr, Show us your teeth.
Managed to lower my average ! Solid company with excellent assets ! Undervalued imho Could be a star in 2019 Average now near mid 30s GLA
Nice to see a bit of decent movement and not before time.
