In terms of share price, not in terms of cash flow and the relatively small amount of debt compared to its peers.
Blowout,
"then consolidation and M&A will be the way the strong take out the weak..."
Fair point, however the problem atm is OPHR are one of the weak in terms of SP vulnerability.
Patience is what is needed here. Many oilers around, very few with the potential value, and this is excluding Fortuna et al. Should the sector deteriorate, then consolidation and M&A will be the way the strong take out the weak. Liquidity/cash flow will be the key for the next few years, and this is something Ophir have positioned themselves well for.
For your information NewOTB, I'm a large share holder in this company and have been for years!
My grievance is with the way the board has managed the Fortuna project and the lack of info from them which has caused multiple unnecessary crashes in this stock.
Reported and filtered ( for being sarcastic
Reported to FCA for finishing BLUE, this needs to be investigated, +0.15%.
2 out of 13 days have been blue.
Perhaps they read my post ?
A step up on the book ?
Its about time this Bod came out with some announcement regarding whats going on ffs.
Since when did Ophr follow the markets, re: correction ? and Baron also bought £2mill @ 39 ( he got it wrong also,
I'm at a loss here, both financially and mentally.
Davstock. I’ve just read about the issues in Tanzania so technically they have the 20% but in theory it’s worth very little as not many would buy or more like our wont sell it cheap. I think shell have everyone by the b alls with that one as they can simple just pull out n walk away leaving everything tits up. For the life of me I don’t see why they chose to invest $200m in the Far East with the future ceo also coming in from that region ..... so here u have a Far East company with Far East investments and ceo also from the east ...... looks like a good investment but not much faith in Far East ventures given by this market. Think they could have invested in the North Sea or a better political / producing environment to spread the risk. Good luck with this one. I’m actually staying out of this for now because I can see a general market correction coming and most certainly see Ophir trading below 30p.
You say you are a holder, but you have never posted a single positive post since joining LSE .... strange to say the least, just subtle bashing time after time.
Tanzania has no current value so they technically they have nothing to sell!
Why don’t they just sell The remainder 20% of Tanzania. I don’t get it. With that money they could add decent assets and build a good size E&P company.
This will use any excuse to crash until this feckless board come out with news on Fortuna!
I've been investing on the stock market for 30 years now and I have never owned a company stock where the Board have been so hopeless! They are taking massive sums out of the company, no wonder they are keeping quiet.
today at 33.15p
WOW‼️
Can’t believe this is sinking !!!! I’m in as of tomorrow but only 30k shares as I believe the bod r full of cack
33.45p I'm watching this like a hawk ready to buy in at Some point.
cant believe this. what a dog of a share...
long time SH here - sold out large holding to smirks at 76p.
surely the deal is cooked with Fortuna - leaked out and this is on its way to the 20s..
such a joke - close your eyes job,
Share price is crazy here. What the heck is the new guy Alan doing? Seems hell bent on destroying every penny of shareholder value. Say something or just suspend the stock-absolute madness that they are allowing this to happen
Ultimately their goal is to seek value, to sell or fund Fortuna. If nothing comes of it, one has to realise this is far more than Fortuna or Tanzania. Production of 25k boed is not to be sniffed at. The price is crazy at the moment, and may carry on at these crazy levels for a while longer. Patience is the key and whether one believes the long term value.
Loaded up here, be interesting to see where we are at , at the end of the year, hopefully well into the 40s again.
Today is the worst ever day for me, had invested £15k in January, since than price has droped >50%, share prices are touching bottom and Can't believe Ophir's management is sitiing on their big As***, I really wish if they know Fortuna deal is not going ahead than actively looking for some buyer, and save company, otherwise it will eat shareholders money and disappear
workover,
"We might be unlucky and someone might come in with an opportunistic bid in the 55-65p "
Yep, premiums are usually around the +75% mark to SP, which in this case would take us to around 61p .... pittance, UNLESS you have been loading up since June !
We live in a different world to 2014! I’d bite someone’s hand off for 90p+ ! It’s almost 160% profit We might be unlucky and someone might come in with an opportunistic bid in the 55-65p range which a lot of holders bought at and some would accept.
