Hi Gerry yes I'm still in this but put it in the drawer...I sold QLT a week or so ago for around a £500 loss. The dividend will come in a couple of weeks which will be just over a grand. So overall made about £500 on this. Not bad but not great. I could probably have sold at a £300 loss and pocketed £700 but didn't time it quite right.
I fcked up badly today in terms of missed opportunity - I could have had £18k in TOOP at 0.62p but thought it was going down more...then it rises 30% lol so £5k missed.
AST as I said I'm glad I sold half at 1.15p a few weeks back. I sold the day before it rose to mid 1.20s - I was kicking myself at the time. I'm not sure if to enter again now. The remaining amount I have in is at an average of 1.40p. Obviously should have sold the lot at 1.15p and bought back but hindsight hey.
I really do like BPC and think it's a decent punt at my average 1.87p. Happy to hold until further news, good or bad and enjoying the debate over there.
FOOT I do like the recovery plays...there's plenty of buzz on Twitter about it too. Popular shop with the young uns. I do expect it to recover well imo. Daughter who runs it comes from money so they may pump more in to keep it running to save face you never know. Will sell at minimum 55p.
I keep being tempted by IIP...I made a few hundred quid on it. Didn't risk much though. Might have another look at 2p. Big cash burn though according to the recent RNS. They need to address this.
I like BAGR and am in at 2.7p. I like the story with this and will hold until it bags at least imo.
Still love ALBA but frustrating me at the moment.
We need scully and brainer to ramp this stock again. They are busy at bpc and foot. Will prob need to make an appointment with them
scully - are you still invested here ?
see you are having quite a debate on bpc.
not sure about foot.
i am watching qlt.
i did a nice trade on sxx this morning, in and out in 20 mins - what's not to like.
trading activity here has dropped off over the last few days. what's your view?
Looks light i will have to keep lights on here. Multibag coming
Investor1111 what do you mean wait for 2p to buy. It's been at 2p once in many weeks and only 2 people bought at that me and one other - a 50,000 shares buy and my 75,000 shares buy. It as been there to sell though. Are you confusing buys and sells mate?
Mason, i told you last week to wait for 2p to buy. Hope you waited
scully - recently back on line, and caught up with your posts, i did see the pied pipers repost just confirms my view on him.
not sure how bpc will pan out, but it's a bun fight over there and the spread is too wide - tbe sp could go anywhere - not for me.
i have bbox on my watchlist, i like reit's my share of choice is rdi, have my average down to just under 35p ignoring reinvested divs, so am up - recently posted over there maybe check my thoughts on that one. i like the fact that bbox pays quarterly divs, will revisit it.
i have just asked investor 112 some interesting questions on ast.
catch up later.
gerry
Gerry on the BPC check the pied piper's repost of a "trusted ADVGN member" who has apparently heard from the financial director. I can't believe he's reposting stuff like that. I mean as if someone high up in the company would let someone know market sensitive data that we aren't privy to in that way lol
*You obviously really have your head screwed on Gerry with only 10% in AIM and the rest on income generating growth shares.
Gerry I think one investor on BPC bb has put in £25k originally then let it go to £150k (I can't remember the exact figures) then obviousy not top sliced and lost all the profits. That's shocking but also terrible money management and I'm not sure I can relate to this. It's simply gambling on a terribly huge scale. You obviously really have your head screwed on Gerry but only 10% in AIM and the rest on income generating growth shares. Compounding is certainly the way to go. Have you looked at BBOX by the way - quarterly dividiend and I've done quite a bit of research on it - get rich slow share IMHO. I see a recovery play here with BPC but sadly don't have anything to invest other there so I'm just over there for a bit trying to give a balanced, impartial view. I think the deal is actually on the table and coming soon. The AST Black Monday RNS and subsewuent Wednesday turnaround RNS come to mind although a different situation.
scully - you know i play on aim with up to 10% of my portfolio, but i do it looking for small gains.
sometimes i feel aim attracts people who are looking to find ways to short cut pensions savings.
one way to a half decent pension is to save say a minimum of £500 a month into a recognised pension fund for a minimum of 30 years. but for many nowadays the costs of paying off university fees, then arranging large mortgages, and bringing up a family, makes this extremely challenging.
i see to many posters, getting in too deep in aim shares often, totally all in on one share. hoping for multi bags, and quick gains. some may get lucky, many will lose their pot.
bpc looks like one of those high risk aim shares, to me. if i was playing it i would look to get in and out on a day, again for say 10%. i just could not understand why those that got in early held and held as it rose.god knows how much of their gains they have given back. they must be gutted.
so over there we have had hope, excitement, profits, gains and greed to which we can now add frustration, anger and upset and this will lead to irrational thinking, imv.
add this too the p &d's, and the day traders, and its a toxic mixture.
very easy to manipulate, with some well thought out posts.
*stock market IN general
Brainer - September is better for AIM and the stock market is general.
Not holding BPC anymore, did buy back at 1.90p midday then sold before close as sp finishing close to the lowest point wasn’t a good sign, also company might take the advantage of the drop to get a placing. AIM casino, best to play safe as greed may kill, my guess BPC could go down by 30% or up by 50% on Tuesday.
however I think IIP will do great next week as finance is approved, I went in big today, it didn’t rise today due to down market imo.
Yes done really well on a quick trade on BPC, you have to be spot on thise trades, otherwise your money could be demolished in a blink of an eye
Brainer IIP yes but not much just a grand. You've done well on BPC today? You still have a position?
Gerry also with BPC I know it's a different set of circumstances to AST, but I can't help but thinking this could be similar to the Black Monday AST RNS scenario - as some would argue it was worded in way as to instil fear etc? I think BPC would certainly got on this weekend's Daily Mail AIm fallers chart.
Hi Gerry yes I fascinated why some had 6 or 7 bagged their money and not taken profits or top sliced. Yes I agree piped piper must have got caught out this time. I would have thought there would be lots of rampers and derampers working the boards this weekend.
scully - the pied piper has so far posted 23 times today on bpc.
so he either got locked in believing his own hype, and is trying to regain his paper profits, or he has bought in on the dip and is off on another p & d again.
think this time he got caught as he was posting very early this morning.
have mentioned to you before, the trick with him if you feel the urge to follow him in is to take a quick profit and walk away imv.
think he also jumped back into rrl recently and that looks major high risk too - that one isn't working out too well for him either.
see you are asking questions over there.
cheers Gerry
Scully, are you still in iip?
Scullu - yes i read the alba bb when the pied piper was posting.
If he is still posting on bpc either he has been caught this time round, probably not, or more likely, he has joined the bottom feeders who are getting in at 2p ish, for another P & D.
Am off to the gym - will pick up later.
Gery - pied piper has shown his face on the BPC board talking of other potential suitors
Gerry they were on my watchlist but I didn't buy any. I remember someone popping up on the AST board memtioning it. I also remember Degsy mentioning it on the ALBA board when he was posting there a few months back.
scully - don't know if you followed the story there, ramped daily by the pied piper.
he has so much previous, on many pump and dumps,.
check when he stops posting, and get out - always take great care if he is involved imv.
Gerry - BPC ouch.
