Didn't 'Wolf' speak to Walbrook and wasn't their going to be some kind of an update or response?
I and many others are not privy to these decisions which is where much of the frustration boils down.
Of our 2m capacity, around 60% is essentially government related - both elements have not had the contracts confirmed yet and ODX would be foolish to share with the market agreements prior to the contract being signed (and in the case of antigen, the test being confirmed).
I agree it is frustring but the crux of the matter is that at present not a great deal can be shared - look at AVCT / Abingdon etc - have they shared much say on commercial deals or what Abingdon will be producing and in what quantities for whom? I think we will soon realise that their is a reason.
I do not though take away the fact that the comms has been poor - specifically too vague, yet sometimes lurching towards some heavy ramping with strong implications.
"The trolls are out in force again spouting placing rubbish" what a load of D##kheads you are..
I think the placing debate was trying to make some sense as to why Omega would be de-ramping its own share price for no apparent reason, but thanks for your contribution to the discussion !
@SneakySimon: "So my statement was correct", well technically yes, but very ODX'esk grasp on full disclosure.
"So we have 2m capacity since at least end of April - almost mid-May and so hypothetically, the machines could have been ran to make 2m LFT's (1m for each week) and profit of worst case 70p per test - thats £1.4m profit - not bad?"
But ODX have committed to announce any orders of merit, £1.4M profit in the first month of a new financial year for a company that lost money last year is surely of merit? Even if they were stockpiling for expected orders, do you think they would be using equipment they have to pay a per-unit charge for, on the back of expectations?
The trolls are out in force again spouting placing rubbish... what a load of D##kheads you are.... guess you cannot read
Sledgly - 2 million LFT per week in April has happened.
I really do hope that it's happened, but I've not seen it published. Can you let me know where you've seen this as 100% confirmed, because if it is true, then I will definitely be topping up this afternoon
So my statement was correct, ODX can use the ODX machine for themselves - I figured the fact that we would have to essentially pay for this would be obvious but yes, we will have to pay some money.
So we have 2m capacity since at least end of April - almost mid-May and so hypothetically, the machines could have been ran to make 2m LFT's (1m for each week) and profit of worst case 70p per test - thats £1.4m profit - not bad?
Obviously that's a very optimistic assumtion....
computer - totally agree. Along with "big" things happening "dont order a tesla nothing has changed"
Sorry but this company is very poor in its communication. If/when it gets to a decent price I am out
@SneakySimon : Does it actually say that?
"The Supplier shall not be permitted to use the Machinery or Tooling to manufacture any Goods or any other goods for supply to anyone other than the Authority without the Authority’s prior written consent which it may withhold or issue subject to conditions in its absolute discretion. If The Supplier is permitted to use the Machinery and/or Tooling to manufacture goods for supply to third parties the Supplier may be required to pay the Authority an amount for each item manufactured at the rate specified by the Authority from time to time."
If its not gathering dust the DHSC may are making money out of ODX, how ironic ?
if you read the redacted contract, we can use any unutilised element of the 1m govt machine - I am pretty sure it isn't just sat their gathering dust ;-)
@Sledgey121 , lets examine some of the news from ODX and look if they are all true?
1/2 : Capacity to produce approx. 2m tests per week by end of April
12/2 : Signs DHSC contract with capacity delivery date end of May
16/2 & 17/2: This April, we'll deliver 2m rapid LFTs a week.
30/4 : We fully expect, once we have The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)'s licensed test confirmation, to rapidly move towards full utilisation of our 2m tests per week capacity.
30/4: We've made huge strides towards establishing a lateral flow production capacity of ˜2 million tests per week from our Alva HQ. Achieving that target, and (more importantly) full *utilisation* of capacity is dependent on the DHSC confirming their selected test.
5/5: A final decision has yet to be made on which test or tests the UK Government will choose…
So which day do you choose to believe is true ?
So in February we will have 2M capacity by the end of april and delivering 2M tests a week in April. (when in reality the DHSC contract signed a day after they knew the 1M capacity was contractually targeted at end of May
We get into April we now get, no test selected yet, and by the way full utilisation is dependent on that selection?
Simple logic and timelines demonstrate the contradictions

"Its not a case of do we believe the company, its a case of when do we believe the company, so many contradictions in their news feeds, the narrative changes each day"
This statement is simply not true.
Strong Buy
"it’s a case of do we believe you or the company"
Its not a case of do we believe the company, its a case of when do we believe the company, so many contradictions in their news feeds, the narrative changes each day
"Personally, if there is a good deal to be had and placing is needed to fund it, then so be it"
I thought we were getting a good deal, to "take advantage of the Covid opportunity" in the placing last year, why on earth would we give him another cent ?
beleive the company RNS, not twitter.
twitter said 2M a week...crap. Twitter said 6th of may elections holding up gov...crap.
Lastest RNS said no 2M a week until gov test starts shipping AND when then manage to ramp up their own orders, fact.
in fairness, he said no placing needed - ie they have the money in the bank and
He did say that if an opportunity arose that needed ££££, a placing would be a possibility (I am massively oversimplifiying what he said)
Personally, if there is a good deal to be had and placing is needed to fund it, then so be it.
Twatcher it’s a case of do we believe you or the company, at this stage I will and have put money on the company so until I here officially otherwise than I will believe we are making the 2M tests a week as stated.
sledgey121, the only person left in the entire world that beleives 2M a week happen.
H'es like one of those Japanese soldiers that still though the war was going on 20 years after it ended.
Someone catch him up :)
Twatcher - Colin confirmed this himself in sharebuyers Q&A and through Twitter so your just being annoying at this point…
TWatcher
"2M lfts per week in april was "confirmed" back in Feb by ODX via twitter.
That didn't happen"
2 million LFT per week in April has happened.
I'll just remind everyone, just in case we have some noobs, TWatcher has been de-ramping this share since 44p and was even de-ramping new years eve and day, take whatever he says with a pinch of salt. I think approx 10% of everything he has ever said has some substance, he throws some facts in to give his other rubbish some credibility.
You have been warned.
Strong Buy from me ;-)
2M lfts per week in april was "confirmed" back in Feb by ODX via twitter.
That didn't happen
You lot don’t rest do you?
How many times does Colin have to say NO PLACING will be done!!!
“ It’s worth pointing out that even after *considerable* investment in our scaled-up production capacity, year-end (i.e. 31 March 2021) cash is expected to be in the region of £5.5-£6m.
Let’s put those placing rumours to bed. For good.”

it was confirmed in twitter and in Colin interview few days ago:

so shut the f... up bashers.
