Safy. Where does one begin ?. I am shrewd through being very poor in the past.
The housing market is about to collapse. People are in for a shock. The days of living off property value gain is finished..
The upper middle class will see tax hikes.
The Bank of England will increase interest rates. I see atleast 3% interest rate within 18 months, increasing to 3.756%.
We will see deflation becoming worse. A book worth reading is called. Money for Nothing by Roger Bootle.
I think one of the issues is this false economy the yanks have created and to some extents the brits and Europeans too.
Trump is only worried about reelection in Nov, Bozo knows that after all the people who have died if he lets the economy tank he’s toast.
Until the government keeps propping up the industries (not saying it’s a bad thing) the wider investors don’t need to concern themselves with testing stocks or largely even worry about Covid. There are better recovery plays in the market and less risky, so the money is going there.
It’s basically milking the system.
Unvrkw. Good luck to you as well.
Aren't they trialling saliva based tests at home, one is you take a same and send off, some are still back of the throats and nose.
Isn't there then also the poc, lateral flow test for antigen that odx are working on with mologic?
So odx are very involved in poc, antigen and antibody that haven't been resolved, created with great high standards as yet and so the market is huge especially as described problems continue in different regions, virus spreads and the need for quick, reliable results becomes more important than ever.
Odx are in all the right spaces, impaitents kills the sp, virus coming back makes people realise it's not yet over and we move closer to delivered tests.
Interesting , very interesting week ahead, gla
CW25- I don't follow the antigen-testing market very closely. Great to know that ODX are moving into the antigen space, but very early days.
B1ll- Totally agree with you about the app. Even in the very disciplined society of Singapore, compliance with their app proved paltry.
I have followed the antibody-test market closely exactly because, epidemiologically, antibody testing can provide a much more useful platform of data, both for the here-and-now and, more importantly, for the future. There are important issues here regarding gender, race, age and co-morbidities which extensive and repeated antibody testing can help to illuminate. Such a platform of comprehensive data is the only way forward if a vaccine is to be rolled out.
Hurrah !!! says Lord Flasheart...
The app is a dead duck .
Even though some quarters were concerned about the so called 'invasion of privacy' element, sentiment towards the app was still pretty good , but it has gone now and the amount of people willing to download the app won't be enough for it to be effective.
The antibody test, in conjunction with some other sort of puplic trust system and a greater understanding of how much immunity people have after catching the disease is the only way forward.
Everybody has got to do their bit. Social distancing and hand washing is still the most effective way of controlling covid.
Now let's get on with sorting this design freeze!!.
Stay safe folks!
CW25- You may care to have a look at my thoughts in my post under the thread title "PM Speech Tues 30th" at 16.05 today.
My view is that any Rapid Consortium/ODX announcement will be timed in collusion with the government. Johnson may want to "scoop" this for himself (he's a journalist by trade!!) without any prior mention elsewhere. My guess is that Colin King will feel a bit chastened by the speeding ticket and he will play along with government directives. It's anybody's guess when the DF announcement by ODX will be made, but the politics on all this is likely to trump everything.
Do we think bojo is going to announce our test on Tuesday? Expect the rns will come tues am if so as have to notify the markets first of news. How far advanced are we into the antigen poc test? Has there been any work towards this yet?
Any coherent and intelligent Test and Trace programme will need both rapid antigen and antibody testing. Hitherto, the problem with Test and Trace has been the delay in reporting results. To be effective, results need to be reported within 48 hours, better still 24 hours. Long delays, particularly for antigen testing, are patently absurd.
The Government should get the message that some folk are going stir-crazy (see Bournemouth invasion). Rapid POC antibody testing would give some reassurance to those that have already mounted an antibody response. Folk might get mighty pi**ed off if they are quarantined because of contact with an infected person, only to find out later that they have some degree of immunity. Government walking a tight-rope here, but trust and faith in the system crucial to inspire compliance, otherwise it's more anger, frustration and then anarchy. Exactly why I think Johnson's message on Tuesday needs to be very strong and essentially positive about a road-map to come through all this.
Likely antigen
Talking about a lock down in Leicester. "Government will help by supplying thousands of home testing kits" This was the quote on the BBC News
