Thinking about a top up too, however presumably a placing to come after the consolidation, maybe the price has dropped in anticipation of that but perhaps another drop to follow on placing news?
....after the drop looks like a good time.
the question is - do you want to be a tiny mining company or a larger one. They chose the latter.
That 148,648 was a buy not a sell.
Gold Bull run continues ? Opinion on Bloomberg from major AU miner. Quote The world’s best-performing major gold miner has some soothing words for investors battered by hawkish Federal Reserve comments: the metal bull run is intact. Bullion prices are supported on the physical side by environmental and social restrictions to supply and strong demand led by India and China, and on the financial side by the U.S.’s limited scope to increase interest rates, according to Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SA. The New York-listed shares in Latin America’s biggest home-grown gold miner have tripled this year, outperforming all members of an index of large producers in the same span. “In the long-term I have no doubt that the gold price will continue rising,” Chief Financial Officer Carlos Galvez said in an interview in New York Monday. “It’s increasingly hard to replace reserves. There haven’t been any world-class discoveries over the past 10 years.” End of Quote So, not the end of AU just yet
Time will tell, but I have to admit, the BOD has made a couple of strange decisions in the last few weeks. I can only assume, as experienced and educated people, they have a clear plan.... After all, the potential here is enormous and it could move up very high, very quickly.
...before my posts were removed by the truth police. This company under this management is a loser.
Last day tomorrow to trade these shares, what could we expect ? . IMO opinion a good time to buy a few as I believe this share has the potential to multi bag. Just need good news like monty says
It's crazy. 40% down over the last few days, and with no 'negative' news. Consolidation should be neutral, but I guess it raises fear of further placings. In short, this is all obvious, and I would (like to) credit the BoD with some common sense and good judgement. In their shoes, I would be either following the consolidation with a very positive RNS the day after, or even just before. Either way, they have a lot of recent options at 0.14, and they won't want to be seeing this go downhill. We need to have a published mining plan and confirmation of JORC. That should see this fly.
usual pattern emerges with some folks not wanting to go through it, thus the selling off. i would imagine we will see a bounce similar to VAL post consol. then the funding question will be resolved and the drill plan to prove up the JORC.
been here for 3 years and looking back at some of my own posts I was quite hopeful and positive - This share (along with TRP which consolidated and then bombed) is one of my worst purchases - will sale and use the losses to offset tax on my (few) winners goodbye and good luck
i doubt you'll get a reply on that because I doubt there is any plan in place to start production. i doubt there is a plan in place for anything other than generating more cash for salaries and bonuses. handy that the share price has dropped like this...it'll make it easier to generate a little rise in order to get the placing shares flipped into the hands of the mug retail investors. there is a word for the sort of people that run companies like this and the sort of people that prop them up. it is what one might SCour off ones bUM.
In Greg's last interview he suggested six to eight weeks for the next update from recollection. I am hoping for an update about now. Failing that, I am getting my passport and a spade!
Wasn't *that* before !
Wasn't before they decided to wait until the JORC was completed and process the alluvial at the same time ? I wrote to the company yesterday regarding start date for production, no reply as yet.
I may be wrong but I'm sure Amanda Van Dyke said something like- she expected NMG to be in production by the end of September. That she had invested. That they had a huge resource. That the company would be very big.
Someone was confident enough to buy £10k worth anyway.
Hi all, I recall getting out of this share at breakeven around .14. Leaving a tiny portion left. Came back to see what is happening? So I see recent results cash balance is poor so a fundraising is likely, change of name to reflect the focus - reasonable move I mean the company needs rebranding. Few new appointments, interesting to see Neil O Brien joining the board, Lundin mining is a very successful company so I assume Neil wouldn't have joined to have his reputation tarnished overnight. Hmmmmm so its looking mixed. Who owns what shares? How much are they being paid? Neil wont be cheap
Are you saying MARL after consolidation didn't work?] It was a low of early 1's and then went to about early 4's and now its 64.75 so 6.47 old money which seemed to have worked. Will it work with NMG - who know ... I wish we had a crystal ball but we don't. VX - for the interest of genuinely not knowing and in a way not really caring too much but curiosity is a BIA TCH and got the best of me ... why are you here day in day out spending time reporting on NMG ? I think looking at your posts I get you don't trust this company and at 35% down for me I am not saying I am that sure either but what is the purpose of the constant posts on here about how bad this is. Surely you have sold out and re-invested somewhere else?
Well said that is exactly how it is milk us all for every penny.......it happens all too often an wi keep on coming back for more thats gambling for ya....... Al
Consolidate, change name in vain attempt to bury their history of peddling confetti for little or no purpose, then begin the process of issuing confetti paper again. This share is a joke. I'm out now and for good, regardless of what this bloody thing turns into.
"they'll have to follow MARL soon and consolidate so they can continue to dilute without it becoming a sub "tenth of a penny" share as you like to keep calling it." And from here...it'll turn from .01p at 4.8bn shares to 10p with 47m shares and soon after they will place another 10-20m shares at 10p for £1m (equivalent of 1-2bn pre consol) shares and continue to screw the retail investor as they have done for 5 years
I have been trading for many years an I hope am wrong but the bigger the price the bigger the fall lol all my share consolidations have only ever done one thing an thats fall further!!!! Good luck to all holders sorry to bi negative but we are trading the AIM nothing in life is free again my experience is anybody recommending a share is usually on the other side ie shorting with a big smile on their face so am sticking to my own research in future!!! Al
Consolidation has absolutely no bearing on success. Actually digging some frikkin gold out the ground is what would have some impact.
Well clearly the market and several on this board didn't like that RNS, but there is some logic to what they are doing and the changes may turn out to be beneficial in the long run.
