Back on Valentine's Day , I launched a competition to see who could choose their favourite alternative share to make the most gains by the end of March..
Well what a 6 week period !!...little did I know what was about to unfold...during that period the ALL SHARE INDEX has lost 27 % of its value...despite this some shares have navigated the crash very well, and several have actually prospered...
Over the weekend I will publish the final table so stay tuned...there were 25 entrants...let's see where you came in the competition...
I've lost my fu#@in savings here. B@5tards!!
dogger,
Sorry to hear that mate, how much are you down?
That is serious dosh mate, I'm sure you will make it back. Sorry to hear that once again
Doggy69, I congratulate you that you will have made a shed load of money with your short position and you will probably never have to buy the borrowed shares back but why are you pretending to be long? In case you've forgotten, you sold your long position and you are now short. Here's your 19th Feb post. Not cool to make fun of fellow investors.

I'm out too and I too am shorting it!
Lawson the reason I said that was I believe MM's read these boards so Inwas hoping by saying that the price would rise. I can post proof of my holding if you wish!
Dogger, I am not the BB police, just not keen on seeing people sucked into a lie. However if you have lost this money then for sure I wish you luck in all your financial endeavors.
Dogger - sorry about your loss, but I doubt MM's give a toss whether a PI is short or long in a company the size that NMC was - OK in a small AIM stock a big PI has an effect but on a premium listed multi billion company like NMC it's all II's funds etc. (oh and Shetty and his associates) .The irony is that Shetty fooled so many (including the institutions) for so long!
I lost 110k at 778 .... ! Or could say I gave shetty and crew 110k! I will collect one day
I have been saddened to hear of your individual upsetting stories of what it has meant to you financially, by placing your trust in Shetty and your reliance on the rigour of the LSE...which lets face it wouldn't get a stall to trade in a pub car park let alone Paternosta Square in London..
Anyway and even though it feels like a damp squid in the process , I did hold an alternative shares competition and I did promise to update the league table for everyone, every week until the end of the competition at the end of March..
Well here we are at the end of March and I am posting the final league table in my next message for all to see.
Always wrong feck off with your alternate shares table pal!
Give the guy a break - always is just adding a bit of distraction for what is a bad situation - and it feels like a damp squid to me!
Dogger....this table was for the benefit of the 25 people who took part...not for the one trol on the touch line who didn't ..this board isn't all about you...oh , and I am not your pal...
This board is about NMC. Nothing else. You should be ashamed of yourself pal!
Thanks Alwayswrong! I think FARN has only just started and there’s more to come! Wishing everyone the best.... Dogger, chill out mate!
The true metaphor I understand - always used "damp squid" in "Anyway and even though it feels like a damp squid in the process" - this is not "it was a bit of a damp squib" - so I think he just invented a new metaphor! :-) it will happen eventually - time goes by words evolve - my son says "can I get" instead of the proper English "can I have" - ****es me right off all American crap - but hey ho the world got English crap for 200 years so we can't complain - it will be Chinese in the next 100 years
I am going to monitor this over the coming years and unless things change I personally will be giving the FCA and relevant politicians some serious stress. The fact a FTSE 100 company can be a fraud and no one realised is a complete shambles. Directors need to be made individually responsible, they really have no liability right now - OK Shetty and his close associates were perpretrating this but the non-execs etc. got paid big time and allowed it - they are the real culprits in this - they are supposed to be independent and provide checks and balances. Hope we see them in court.
It's bust. We will get nada, zilch, feck all, capiche??
I agree Rastuss, but to get to the auditors you need the politicians on boards and the the FCA
Maybe auditors need paying by taxpayers, if paid by the company there is a huge conflict of interest as in this case EY were paid over 50% of their fees in non audit revenues
I know most of you find it funny. Especially you Rastuss. Glad you are happy to see people lose their money.
Well they may be voted on by shareholders - but they are surely recommended by the BoD, i.e. Shetty et al
At the end of the day they should be culpable - they get paid sh***t load of $ for their positions and their duty is to the shareholders - they have clearly abrogated this responsibility and should pay for it - at least take back their fees.
Rastuss, absolutely ****!
**** of the highest order.
