The stock market - the only place on earth where theft is "legal"
On the face of it there seems to be a 2-2:30 pm link but its hard to establish what that is. The shorters are UK firms
IMO the buying ran out of puff at around 10:00 am and the SP was waiting till the selling would tip it back down again
Could be a clever accumulation strategy if you repeat this every day - who knows
It's same with a lot of shares, as soon as the American markets open down goes a lot of shares, sometimes even if the Dow is going up.
Could be but that shouldn't make a difference. Its London Stock Exchange trading hours
It's clear which side of the Atlantic is controlling the share price
The intraday chart looks like big parabolic curve till around 1:30 pm, then the price collapsed
I first thought it was a big sell order but then it could but just the buying running out of steam . Who knows
Rise while it lasted, does it last does it xxxx.
Sorry Hindy, I did you a disservice. Looks like you were entirely spot on though so thank you. It helps to have some positivity here.
Ask Paddy he knows it all. If he doesn't know we're all oblivious. I did not once say the share is worth 65p either I said it looks like it is heading that way with the shorts and Interest Rates increasing.
Hi longer, I didn’t say it would drop below £1 I said personally I don’t think it will.
But they can over shoot.
This could just be a small bounce before another leg down, you’ll know more in a day or two
This is what I wanted tho, it to drop. And if it moves like they normally do you will understand why I wanted what I did further down the line
Payday tomorrow so the next drop will be on Thursday!
Only a rise Hindy , if we go past the dropping point! In other words, past 120p!
Called this rise, although suggested it would drop below £1 first so not quite spot on, but seems to have proved the haters wrong
Devastated paddy. If only I could buy them back for a few £k less now ;-)
The real improvements will come in H2 and over 2024 ... ..IMO
Spanish annual consumer price growth inflation has dropped from 3.8% to 2.9%
Need to be patient ...the inflation dragon will be beaten down ...IMO
QD, i think on the contrary. If you've sold out 90% of your holdings here i think you are having second thoughts & regrets. Time will tell. I have no concerns with this investment!
Very confident that company is doing well and prepared for long hold … if the stock goes under 100p will add more … and if shorters make it cheaper will keep on adding at every 10 percent drop till my funds last …
I am not the one to lose sleep with NEX … aim is make the shorters sweat
I think it’s all getting a bit much for Paddy :/
Manz, you claim to hold this share but you think it is only worth 60p. The savvy investor in that situation would be selling their entire holding in the morning @108 to conserve their cash regardless of their paper loss. You will just be doubling your woes by remaining as a holder. Sell tomorrow & buy back at 60p or buy a share which you have more belief in. GL with your alternative investment choice!
Everyone's entitled to their opinion Paddy no need to get defensive. If you cannot handle that then this is not the place for you. Simple wall St is a reliable source dated in December or now not much difference as debt is still relatively the same figure.
DenFos
Yes correct on shares 614.9 million
I’ll give you 61p a share manz, take it while you can. That’s a regurgitated article from December mate.
Paddy, to answer your question, RI in 2009 & 2012 it seems.

I would suspect if there is a problem it’s more likely to be with Alsa or US parts of the business. No chance UK coach is struggling with all the train disruption... and generally the price of the train these days being extortionate. But I’m not convinced there any issue with the business. My guess is there risk adverse sellers in the background that are happy to pick up 5% somewhere safer coupled with shorters that can work the market and that’s the reason for the decline. I don’t want the read into director purchases etc, because I can really second guess their rational.
A Simply Wall St Article. OMG The Beano & Dandy are more informed reads than this. Stick to the Building Society Account. This game is not for you!
