Where does it say masks Warren? Looks like a lab based rapid results testing kit unless I've missed something. It's the kind of test I would expect quantum dots can enhance but far too early given the announced project time table. Maybe for a future iteration of the product.
I think its more the rapid tests that they were talking about using QDs for, rather than PCR (although there may be a way of enhancing PCR with QD that i havent heard of). I think they were talking about attaching QDs to the antibody on the RAPID test plate, so when the covid antigen attached to it, it gave off a stronger colour reaction, thus enhancing the sensitivity of the test.
Quantum dots make the process more efficient but not more specific so their applicability to mass marketing of screening kits is a bit iffy, they would need to be combined with something to improve the accuracy of the result or you will just get very quick, albeit unreliable, results.
This may be way off the mark but, as previously mentioned, it was notable that the recent SP shift mirrored Genedrive's for successive days, who are also based at Grafton St.
This morning Genedrive announced a supply agreement for COVID-detection masks into the American market. This is the product:

I'm no expert but believe quantum dots are known to improve the amplification of PCR tests. Could it be? If these test kits do contain QD then it would almost certainly be ours.
One of your ecent post: "ome recent individuals to lse get drawn in by blatant rampers who fail to mention there are outstanding warrants to keep the price down, so it keeps bumping its head at a certain level and then breaks it because they haven't properly researched the dynamics of said company. Blimey I got burnt by TRX and then a primary bid. Learnt my lesson there. But effectively they used the mm's to sell an early dream of riches, but effectively paid for their new plant in Texas for White label Manufacturing, check out their bombshell RNSs last year. Please note the Texas coincidence is a coincidence. Right?" I'm sober thanks.
First off I asked if there is knowledge of warrants. I said I knew of none unless I'm mistaken.
Secondly are you drunk? I am the one saying this company has rather a noteable potential future. Please read the comments when sober.
Steadydanny this is a bulletin board where we all can express our views. No one can "hold someone" to their comments just like we can't " hold you" to your view about "warrants" and the fact that you seem to consider the SP can never move up because fo some conspiracy theory you have.
Screenlearner. Are you for real? Let's see what happens and I will hold you to your comment.
zahirmiahoutlook: The reference in the recent post headings to Genedrive occurred because there was speculation (no more than that) that Genedriveand Nanoco were working together on a "COVID DETECTOR"of some form. As both Genedrive and Nanoco SPs rose suddenly (almost at the same time) the rumour was they had come up with a product so the rise in both SPS. generally many posters just click on the latest post title and reply to it, so once someone created the GENEDRIVE title it persisted overmany posts about all sorts of issues.
Zahir hi. No we are definitely on the right board. 100 percent. Check out my last comment read the said RNS and then read Warren's comments from yesterday. All best Steadydanny
Guys ur on the wrong board
Hi amerloque. The RNS 25th November re an ongoing grant for a rapid visual covid test. It's worth a read. And if you read Warren's posts on here there are some noteable coincidences and parallels with Genedrive.
Any other company with a credible link to the fight against covid have done rather well. It is early days but .....
I agree, SteadyD. Share price has risen so much on such high volume that it must involve a big business deal or progress in negotiations with Samsung. Something is going on. What is is Innovate about?
By the way, I love the energy, research effort and tone on this site.
My HL account on this is jumping everywhere. I think we have had a shake.
I notice people say what they think is the reason for the recent rise, samsung, st micro, innovate....in all honesty I think all of the above plus cash in the bank and a great team in charge.
What isn't to like here
I'm watching l2 like a hawk and shares are being snapped up, 111,747 at 14.60 should turn blue soon
Any news land and goodbye to these prices
"The most significant of which is the work with ST Microelectronics N.V. ('ST Micro'). Good progress has been made on this project during the Period and we are now negotiating its potential next phase.
FWIW my advice is "don't panic" . Shares rarely go in one direction without a few pauses of retracements. This was a big move up. Unless we hear news we should expect a short period when people want to lock in their gains. I am still hopeful for another leg up after a pause for breath. When exactly? Who Knows! Interesting that this is still no RHS. My best guess is the news is not ours to release until a partner company releases it.
Little retrace should be back up in no time
Damn. This is tanking, not just dropping. 12.5% down to 14p. Nightmare........
Glad to hear that botbot. Winners are nice! :-)
I LOVE Genedrive.
It will be my talking point about shares for the rest of my life.
I have never had such a multi-bagger ever.
The funny thing was that it was in another account of mine, so wasn't looking daily like my main trading account. Without my knowledge I had a 25 bagger. Of course, I would have bottled it way before then if it was within my main account.
I'm hoping that Nano is going to be the same. Of course, again, I will probably bottle it if it's a slow riser of 20p, then 30p, then 40p etc. If it jumps to £1, or £2 or whatever through the Samsung settlement, then I would much prefer that approach than a slow painful rise (painful for me of course, because I know I will bottle it and sell :-)
I am in this till at least we get a verdict on the samsung case. I've been in for 4.5 yrs now. Thanks for all the comments
Thanks basscadet
Samsung said they were charging too much and went their own way. Dow reset to R&D mode with NANO working on next gen hoping to get back into the market then. Those next gens are coming round now so maybe they'll fire up again. No evidence of that happening though.
I cant remember, whT happened to dow chemical partnership
