740000 from me
I'm in 1,000,084
I am in with 3 million,
Can I suggest set up a Telegram group so we can keep in Touch just in case this gets put down,
Regards
I have 1m to add to that. Is there a good way to try to retrieve unjustified bonuses and salaries too?
I've got 5.9m
Don't check in here regularly, anymore. Looks like an almost £11k loss for me. I voted no to No.6 as it sounds like most of the rest of you did but it is a bit of a shame that the new company can't RTO. Assume they'll find another vehicle and we can maybe dabble in that. My biggest regret is not pulling out after the Valentine's Day massacre as it was all just nonsense after that. Learned a lot, made money elsewhere and had half forgotten about this. Goes in my FRR drawer now! [we need more "Opinion" options on here e.g. Greedy Troughing ****s]
I've got 2.7 million can go towards the figure
What's more likely is that the shares will languish for a few years, until the directors are obliged, legally or otherwise, to declare them worthless. That's years down the line, and the only way to get any value from them now. RTO would have been the only way to get round this, at least you would have been able to sell the shares and declare the loss. Cutting one's nose off to spite one's face is the phrase, I believe.
I think we have about 60-70m shares in issue between us all on here right?
We can send a letter to the Motif team with resolutions and a call got an EGM
If I were to start that ball rolling with the view to removing GL, CW and JG as directors would anyone be keen to help out?
I own up as well, my own mistake to be invested(?) here, I wrote off any value in this share a long time ago. The only thing that I saw as any benefit would be that I could use the loss to offset any capital gains made elsewhere. I guess that I cannot use the loss incurred as things stand, as the company is still in existence, even though it is no longer listed on AIM. Do I have this correct? I guess the only way to realise the loss will be if I am able to find a buyer on the proposed matched trading platform that may be set up in the future, to crystallize the loss.
I would suggest doing some research and find out who the big names involved in the company are, don’t bother though. You just sit back and regret you uneducated opinion later.
Seems like a typical "Blockchain" / "Crypto" play
All hype and no substance
As mentioned on their board, does anyone even work there?
Got in a while ago and love everything about the company. Definitely a LTH for me to realise the true potential. Looking forward to the RNS about the tokens!
Agreed Darren, vlrm is about to fly.
You’ll make your money back plus a very healthy profit in Valerium.
Same to you, terrible end and totally unnecessary. I go back even further, when questions were raised in the p3 trials over liver toxicity prior to mtfb, why oh why was that not the first port of call to address, especially considering the trials were designed with the FDA.
It's a shame, in world where there has been chronic underinvestment in new antibiotics, and waining effectiveness of many of the current class, iclaprim would have been a useful addition. For whom? We don't actually know.
All the best for current and future Investments
If we'd voted yes we'd have shares in an ADC developer now. They're huge at the moment and we could've easily been in profit within a few years.
Instead we've succeeded in keeping a larger share of an asset that you could've got for free last year with the purchase of a cash shell for £350k. Meanwhile the directors are phoning around to line up their next six-figure salary.
I didn't have enough gambled here to be more than slightly irritated. But 'no' was clearly a ridiculous choice.
Don't sweat the small stuff guys !! plenty of fish in the sea. You have to catch a dozen before you net a keeper !!
... and his ownership of Orange Avenue folks. Has anyone got details of how to contact him to ask how the monetization of Iclaprim is going?
Not holding my breath but that's all that's left.
Dont regret voting NO folks. Even if we'd voted yes we'd have got sod all. It would have dragged on another 2 or 3 years with more lies and bull.
Good luck all. We tried. Now we move on.

I suppose that is the end know
The cancellation notice was posted an hour ago.

Hey all,
Don’t sweat waiting for anything else other than the final ‘no value/winding up’ notice. I have invested in several similar ‘hero to zero’ in recent years but also several ‘ten baggers’. The fun is working out which will be which.
Cheers
Intrepid.
The legacy of Motif Bio: Arrogance. Incompetence. Greed.
I take responsibility for my own misguided decision in investing here. However the attitude and approach of the company has been truly disdainful of its shareholders, perhaps the worst example of all on the cesspit that is AIM.
GLA, I sincerely hope that others who have also lost heavily here can somehow make it back with better companies than this one, having learned a painful lesson.
Those responsible for this utter disaster had better be looking over their shoulders for karma. This was supposed to be a so called 'retirement maker'. Well, it's had the opposite effect for many...
And so it all ends. So long, and thanks for all the fish
While a lot has been written here about the alleged "greed" of Jonathan Gold, it's important to remember that this company was repeatedly shafted and its carcass left for dead not by Gold, but by the staggering incompetence, greed, and arrogance of former execs Dick Morgan and Bobby Bertoldi. It appears that everything they have touched for the last 25 years or so has been left a smoldering turd, while Messrs. Bertoldi and Morgan walked off with millions-- a fair amount stashed in the Caymans it appears-- and Motif was no exception. Had these howling buffoons been less greedy, there would have been considerably more financial runway left to deal with the setbacks in the clinical trials process. As it was, the trail of destruction and empty coffers they leave in every company they touch means that they had very few options left.
Gold, a former employee of theirs, was only brought in in a staggeringly cowardly attempt by Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum to drop the bloody remains of their golden goose in someone else's lap, leaving him to take the fall. While Gold may have been due for a big payout, given the experience of countless others who had the misfortune to work with Dick and Bob, it was probably due him as danger money. He wasn't around during the earlier destruction and looting of Motif by the self-regarding Morgan and Bertoldi, who seemed more interested in picking a good bottle of wine (or hiring people who could) than in building a good company. My condolences to those who have lost thousands while lining the pockets of these serial losers. But many lost much more than that, and today's vote is a sad end to what could have been a great and noble company doing good work for humanity. But "that's how the game is played down there"...isn't it, Dick?
