8 March 2022 Preliminary announcement of Annual Results
I've loaded up with them (dyor)
haha like me. First lot in and mainly on basis of industry recovering and possible low offer ( e.g. £4-5 per share) from any competitor. gla
No but looks like some people are catching on today.
Has anyone seen any forecast for EPS? or aware of what management expectations were for earning for YE? Thanks
Australia border opening 21st February;
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-02-07/australia-to-open-border-to-international-visitors-after-2-years
Remember MNZS won that huge Quanta's contract in January 2021...it was not particularly well received as the borders were closed. Its 40,000 flight per year...its now coming on line. I estimate this contract to be worth £40-60m per annum in Turn over. Its huge and is about to start cashflowing.

I have the programme Flight Tracker live on my computer and the air traffic was so dense last Saturday that I had problem tracking a flight over Europe , with that density of air traffic MNZS must be nearly back to normal surely ? Also the continuing contract additions are very reassuring for this company . IMHO as always DYOR.
Fingers crossed this is my favourite recovery growth stock for next few years Shame I have no funds spare to add.Well not till new tax year and thinking of opening a new Dodl Isa account to average in stead of buying a few grand at a time because of dealing charges.
Air Menzies International adds Frankfurt Airport to global network
02/02/22
Air Menzies International (AMI), the leading air freight wholesaler, is pleased to announce the opening of its new branch at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), as it pursues its growth strategy across Europe.
The branch marks AMI’s 24th location, adding to an extensive global network which includes 250 network partners. The opening further reinforces AMI’s ability to ensure the reliable movement of freight between AMI locations, with oversight of shipments from beginning to end.
It is a key expansion for the freight wholesaler, strengthening its presence in central Europe, especially as Frankfurt Airport is Europe’s busiest airport for cargo traffic, handling over 1.8 million tonnes of cargo in 2020. The airport has flights to over 300 destinations in 94 countries, enabling AMI to work even more effectively with its worldwide network partners.
At its new branch AMI will be offering a variety of wholesale air freight services, including door-to-door services on global import and export shipments; exports with consolidation and Back2Back; Click2Ship, its market leading platform for express shipments; X-ray Screening and warehousing services; as well as customs clearance and documentation support.
The new branch is being led by Ingo Haupt, who has an extensive career in freight forwarding, spanning over 25 years with TNT, Japan Airlines, Envirotainer and Nagel Airfreight.
Jonathan Clark, CEO, AMI said: “Increasing our presence across Europe has always been a key component of our growth strategy. Germany is a major manufacturing hub in Europe, making it essential to have a presence there, and as the business capital of Germany, Frankfurt is the ideal strategic location. The addition of Frankfurt to our network means we now have 24 branches globally, with more planned to be added in 2022 and beyond.”
Menzies Aviation wins cargo contract with GEODIS at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
31/01/22
Menzies Aviation, the global aviation logistics specialist, is pleased to announce it has won a cargo handling contract with GEODIS, a global leading transport and logistics services provider, at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS).
The five-year contract encompasses cargo handling for the import and export of goods on GEODIS’ AMS flights, operating five times a week. A team of over 20 Menzies Aviation professionals will provide these services to the carrier.
Menzies already provides ramp transport services for intact Unit Load Devices (ULD’s) to GEODIS at the airport, with this new contract highlighting the confidence the carrier has in Menzies’ ability to provide consistent high-quality services, built over the two years it has partnered with Menzies.
Miguel Gomez Sjunnesson, Executive Vice President Europe, Menzies Aviation, said: “We are delighted to provide cargo handling services to GEODIS at Amsterdam, which is a strategic cargo hub for the carrier. This contract win signifies the high standard and secure service our team has already delivered to Geodis on the ramp. We’re looking forward to building a successful partnership with GEODIS over the years to come.”

There is no doubt that shipping goods by sea is currently unreliable, compared to previously and now a lot more expensive. As such air freight now much more competitive for many products. MNZS are well placed to take advantage.

In current climes all you need to do is wait a day!
Was hoping to buy back in today. Can’t believe it’s gone up on a poor rns and general world bad news.
I agree with your sentiment but I don't believe they a 'hiding' anything.
Historically they have never been overly informative with their January updates, however with this one, they have now got to the point of it being almost so devoid of information as to it being meaningless and as such they would probably better off not releasing anything at all .
Bit of a weird TS to literally have no detail behind the quarter... no mention of all the new contract wins in Mexico, which this market never sees as they dont go out in RNS!
Not sure how to take that update. Part of me thinks that if the results had been good they would have chucked some numbers in.
Hope they’re just being coy, interesting to look at the trades over the next few days.
However, as you’ve pointed out, could all be irrelevant due to market sentiment !!!!
All pretty much as expected for the results on 8 March. "Overall trading through the latter part of Q4 was in line with the Board's expectations.", but no figures given. 89% of business is now outside the UK, so switching accounts to dollars. UK futures are now down 1.7% after being the same amount up at 1900 yesterday! As a result I reckon we will see a slump down here today! If we do, we have a buying opportunity.

Ukraine is home of Russias black naval fleet since 1783.
The US and West want Ukraine to join NATO effectively cutting off Russia from access to its Black Fleet and putting NATOS strategic missiles in Ukraine aimed to Moscow.
And somehow Putin is the bad guy?
The US illegally occupied and stole the Hawaiian Island form the Hawaiian Royal family, and established Pearl Harbour, subsequently dropping two atom bombs on Japan to defend them.
Now the US wants to lecture Russia on occupying or influencing Ukraine.
The US needs to f&*k off and sort its own borders and elections, yeah Biden got 81m votes and can barely string a presser together without making serious gaffes.
If you have any cash load up on shares.
There will be no war, this is a big distraction to the disastrous covid response and distract from the Bidens administration many recent failures. Russia will get Nord Stream II gas line approved and remove troops and then world peace and markets will pop.
BUY BUY BUY BUY
Nothing particularly wrong with this company, Just in the midst of a major market correction/crash which is yet to be seen. Many things behind it, Russia-Ukraine, US interest rates/debt levels, covid hitting most of the world hard, cryptos falling…..etc
I don't know.... its hit pretty hard.... iv bought more as I feel this is a solid company and will inevitably recover.... but what do I know!?
is this drop due to Ukraine situation ??Opinions welcome

'Airlines will be forced to operate more flights this summer to avoid losing lucrative take-off and landing slots at the UK's busiest airports.
They must use their slots at least 70% of the time to keep them from March 27, UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps announced.'
Traffic volumes in Europe (inc UK) are lower than this point last year, but are double what they were in the US a year ago (although still down on jan 2019&20). Cargo is holding up well.
I thought that we may get a trading update this week?
and yet the SP continues to decline!!
