24/01/22
Menzies Aviation, the global aviation logistics specialist, today announces that following a competitive selection process it has renewed a contract for the provision of into-plane fuelling operations for Shell Aviation across its entire UK fuelling network, spanning seven airports.

Morven McCrindle, Executive Vice President – Fuels, Menzies Aviation, said: We have a long-standing relationship with Shell Aviation in the UK and have increasingly grown our fuels service provision for them, taking our partnership from strength to strength. This latest award sees a further expansion of our fuels business and we are delighted to continue working with Shell as we look to grow our fuels portfolio globally.”

Menzies Aviation, the global aviation logistics specialist, announces several new ground services contracts in Mexico, where it now operates at 31 airports.
The contracts are with American Airlines, Aeroflot, Air Canada, Delta Air Lines, Flair Airlines, Frontier Airlines and TAG Airlines, and represent the strengthening of Menzies’ presence in the Latin American market.
American Airlines: Menzies has won two new contracts with American Airlines, for the delivery of passenger, ramp, and cabin cleaning services at Chetumal (CTM), and for ramp and cabin cleaning services at Manzanillo (ZLO). These wins build on Menzies’ relationship with American Airlines, which it already services at 16 airports across Mexico. Chetumal (CTM) is a new airport for Menzies’ Mexico operations.
Aeroflot: At Cancun (CUN), Mexico’s second busiest airport, Menzies is providing Aeroflot with passenger, ramp, and cabin cleaning services. The Russian carrier has recently launched operations at the airport and is a new customer for Menzies at this location.
Air Canada: Menzies has secured contracts to provide ramp and cabin cleaning services to Air Canada at Huatulco (HUX) and Zihuatanejo (ZIH). Air Canada is a large customer for Menzies, however these are the first contracts with the airline in Mexico.
Delta Air Lines: Delta has awarded Menzies ramp and cabin cleaning services contracts at two stations in Mexico, which will see Menzies servicing 355 flights a year from Guadalajara Airport (GDL) and 575 flights a year at Monterrey Airport (MTY). Monterrey is a new station for Menzies, becoming its 31st airport in Mexico, and its 40th in the Latin America region.
Flair Airlines: Menzies has been selected to support Flair Airlines’ start up across Mexico where the Canadian ultra-low-cost carrier is establishing new routes. Menzies will provide ground handling services at Los Cabos (SJD) and Cancun (CUN) from February. This builds on Menzies and Flair Airlines’ existing partnership in Canada, where Menzies provides ground services at nine airports.
Frontier Airlines: Menzies has won a contract with the US-based ultra-low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines for the provision of ground handling services at Cancun (CUN). Menzies has a large existing relationship with Frontier and CUN is a new and very important growth location for both Frontier and Menzies.
TAG Airlines: Menzies has been awarded a ground handling services contract forTAG Airlines at five different locations in Mexico, including Cancun (CUN), Merida (MID), Oaxaca (OAX), Tuxla Gutierrez (TGZ) and Guadalajara (GDL). The contract is a significant win for Menzies, as it will bring an additional 1,667 turns to the business in Mexico, further strengthening its presence in the country.

at closing today or open tomorrow is the trading update...
Shore Capital 570p broker rating...
400p very soon
Trading update should be imminent. Last year it was 12th January.
Tradi
Hoping for decent results in March and a march up to 400p+
Having another go this morning. Like many today MNZS price hinting at the great reopening.
£5 in short order not unrealistic.
Very low share liquidity on this company...its almost like a private company...large portion of shares with Menzie family and directors...it moves on very small volumes...a double edged sword...but when this rises it will be a stampede to buy shares in volume...I have been here since April 2020...buying from 90p....it amazes me how under the radar it is...an incredible company and its about to pop! This could easily get to 500p plus in 2023...and if it was to be bought out...I think 600p is the right number and very possible to happen...dividends are back 2023 also...
Has the seller gone now?
Well said, about time we saw some movement here!
Lets get ready to turn around some jets....450p by August
Cabin crew prepare for take off.
Heathrow today a Menzies Cargo Van strikes wing of Polish flight on stand a Terminal Two. Blinking heck, these things happen I suppose. It doesn’t look too bad in fairness. Can be seen on Kent 999 Facebook social media.
Was holding 7,500 of these, now holding 1,350 will top up if this goes down. Highly unlikely but what a bargain now and even more so when I was buying them at £1 a share!
Thank You PRN19 Theres so much Doom & Gloom going around and when we have some Good News its best to share it.
Menzies have out performed their socks off through this pandemic and should be praised for getting on with the job and looking ahead rather than following all the Moaners & Groaners !!
Wishing you all a Very Merry CHRISTMAS and with any Luck a Prosperous & HAPPY NEW YEAR. :-)
Many thanks for your recent Menzies updates Kisboy, they're very informative and much appreciated.
Good luck and all the best to all long term holders.
Menzies Aviation achieves further IATA pharmaceuticals handling accreditation at Heathrow and Budapest
21/12/21
Menzies Aviation, the global aviation logistics specialist, is delighted to announce that its cargo operations at Heathrow Airport (LHR) and Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) have received IATA certification to handle time and temperature sensitive pharma products.
The Center of Excellence of Independent Validators for Pharmaceutical Logistics accreditation (“CEIV Pharma”) is recognised by IATA and follows the recent CEIV Pharma accreditations awarded to Menzies’ Sydney and Melbourne bases.
The CEIV Pharma programme is a multi-stage process of independent audits, validation, and training, which upskills employees and ensures that handlers upgrade their procedures, processes, risk assessment methodology and infrastructure for the delicate handling of time and temperature sensitive pharma products.
This accreditation formally endorses Menzies’ ability to safely handle high-value, time sensitive and temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals transported into and out of LHR and BUD, in line with shipper requirements and with the speed and consistency required. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the need to handle vaccines with the highest level of efficiency and safety, this accreditation is especially important.
Menzies’ cargo team at Heathrow Airport, operating with over 230 employees, provides cargo services to airlines including Qatar Airways, Air India, Egyptair, MEA, Kuwait Airways and TAP Air Portugal, handling on average 100,000 to 120,000 tonnes per annum. Now that the LHR station has been certified for excellence in safeguarding pharma product integrity, it expects to see a significant increase in pharma volumes through its 10,000 square metre warehouse facility, which features brand new temperature-controlled rooms built for the purpose of handling these products.
In Budapest, Menzies serves customers including Emirates, Aeroflot, Cargolux, LOT Polish Airlines and Finnair at its new warehouse facility, which opened in 2020. Currently a team of over 70 employees handle 35,000 tonnes per annum at the 4,100 square metre warehouse, which has capacity for 45,000-50,000 tonnes per annum. With its state-of-the-art cooling facility, the station is already well equipped for pharma product handling.
Menzies is currently focusing on achieving CEIV Pharma certification at more locations across its global cargo network, further strengthening its supply chain and demonstrating its best-in-class handling standards and procedures.

Menzies Aviation, the global aviation logistics specialist, announces the renewal of de-icing contracts with Norway’s largest airline, Norwegian, at three Scandinavian airports.
The two-year contracts will see Menzies provide de-icing services for Norwegian at Oslo Airport, Copenhagen Airport and Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport. It is expected Menzies will support 33,500 turns at Oslo Airport, 13,900 turns at Copenhagen Airport and 200 turns at Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport annually.
Menzies also provides a range of ground services for Norwegian in Prague, Amsterdam, Budapest and Nice, having established a relationship with the airline in 2015.
Miguel Gomez, Executive Vice President, Europe, at Menzies Aviation, said: “We are delighted to be strengthening our relationship with Norwegian and reinforcing our de-icing network across three Scandinavian airports. These renewals are the result of the close working partnership we have established with Norwegian at its home base in Oslo, and the de-icing expertise demonstrated on the ground by Menzies professionals, with services often delivered in challenging conditions.”
Menzies Aviation makes progress on its All In sustainability strategy
09/12/21
Menzies Aviation, the global aviation logistics specialist, today announces a six-month update on its All In sustainability strategy.
Launched in April, All In is Menzies’ plan for a fair and sustainable future. The industry leading strategy has high-level goals across four key areas: health & safety, legal & ethical, people, and the environment. It also includes a commitment to becoming carbon neutral for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2033, Menzies 200th anniversary.
All In encapsulates Menzies commitment to making a positive difference in a changing world for its people, communities and the planet. The plan underpins Menzies’ own sustainable growth and resilience, while also supporting the wider aviation industry.
Over the past six months, Menzies has become a signatory of the UN Global Compact and is participating in two UN Accelerator programmes, Target Gender Equality and UN Climate Ambition Accelerator Programme. Menzies has also committed to setting Science Based Targets and establishing transparent plans for achieving these, in line with the Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaign, limiting global temperature rise to 1.5c. Alongside this, Menzies has reviewed carbon offsetting and socially responsible projects to invest in with ClimateCare, committing to purchase 43,000 tonnes of offsets in 2021.
Within its own operations, Menzies has been investing heavily in transitioning to electric and lower emission ground service equipment (GSE) where airport infrastructure allows, to reduce its carbon footprint and support customers’ sustainability ambitions. For example, Menzies is providing fully electric turns at three European airports, and recently expanded its electric GSE fleet at Manchester Airport. Outside of Europe, Menzies is converting to electric GSE across its US operations and introducing electric forklifts into cargo operations globally. Menzies is also working alongside airline partners on a variety of sustainable aviation fuel programmes, most recently supporting British Airways by fuelling its transatlantic flight BA001 with sustainable aviation fuel.
Across the business, Menzies has implemented a Go Paperless initiative, which analyses paper use via monitoring software, and is digitalising processes and ways of sharing information with teams. A key example is the adoption of a document management solution for cargo at Heathrow Airport, which is already saving a significant volume of paper and will subsequently be rolled out to further locations. Menzies is also collaborating with customers to identify where paper is produced as part of shared procedures, to either change or digitise these processes together.
As well as putting into place paper saving initiatives, Menzies launched the Menzies Aviation Grove, an initiative in partnership with registered charity Trees for Life, through which Menzies can donate funds for rewilding or tree pl

07/12/21
Menzies Aviation is delighted to announce it has won the Best Cargo Handling Operation Award at the annual GHI Pride of Ground Handling industry awards.
The GHI judges said Menzies had adjusted to the challenges posed by the pandemic to make sure processes were followed, interruption to customers and the supply chain was minimised and quality of service was upheld.
The award recognised Menzies recent growth and success as a result of being agile and flexible. It quickly adapted to support the increase in global air cargo, such as transporting PPE, and also secured a number of significant contract wins including:
The launch of cargo handling at its single biggest cargo location to date with only 30 days’ notice to provide a handling solution for 250,000 tonnes of cargo for Avianca at their regional hub in Miami.
Expanded into new markets with joint ventures in ****stan, Iraq and China where cargo will be a key component of services as Menzies looks to expand in these new markets.
Developed a global partnership with Qatar Airways which has expanded from London Heathrow to 14 locations in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Macau and Bucharest with combined annual cargo volumes of over 200,000 tonnes.
Menzies also increased cargo facilities by 40% at Los Angles. It now has three custom bonded warehouses that collectively have the capacity to handle over 130,000 tonnes each year.
Technology and innovation across Menzies’ air cargo services was also put under the spotlight, with a focus on how efficient and effective technology is supporting the commercial growth plans of the business.
