Me too!! 6 months from accepting the offer but I guess it's been worth the wait. Delisting soon so this page won't be around for much longer. Reinvested in GGP @ 10.62 so tempted to take a quick profit there but I'm not actually a trader so it'll probably sit tight until it shows a loss...
After what seems an age, finally received my monies today

At last!! Finally things seem to be moving, takeover now unconditional and settlement for accepters within 14 days. Hurrah!!
No dividends now either so once again PI's missing out. No-one seems to give a toss about the smaller shareholders!
I know. Wish I'd taken the advice of others on here and sold at a small discount as soon as it was announced. Lesson learned for next time it happens I guess. It's months now since I accepted their offer.
Same here I wonder how long this is going to drag on for
Well this is a bugger's muddle & no mistake! Timetable suspended on 20th January, no update since then. So having accepted the offer (via my broker) they haven't sold, I can't sell and have no idea when (if?) funds will reach my account. In the mean time, I've got an urgent call on funds that I'll have to find elsewhere, but as this is in my SIPP it's not that straightforward. I always find a lack of clarity on these things frustrating.

It’s a decent gain and very welcome compared to the massacre of just about everything on Friday. Onto the next one. Tempting to sell today at a slight discount in order to get into something that took too big a hit on Friday
Ah well, you can't win them all!! Just wish I'd had a few more of these now. Constellation are paying a 41.3% premium on Friday's closing price so I guess I should be pleased.

I thought this looked set for north of 300, anyone shed any light on reason for the pullback over the past few days.

Acquisition of Motorline Holdings, providing exposure to increased earnings potential from Toyota, Lexus & Hyundai plus increased positions with VAG etc. Seems a good fit with the existing business and in line with company strategy, all funded from existing resource. Market appears to approve so far at least...

Trading update. FY profit guidance increased from not less than £40m to not less than £50m, trading continues to significantly outperform the wider new-car market despite headwinds including chip shortage. Small rebound in the SP this morning but after the recent plunge in price the expected dividend (8.86p interim paid, 4.43p final next May) would represent a yield of 6%.

Second-hand car sales soar amid shortage of new models:

...and there we go, interim dividend of 8.86p reflecting the huge increase in sales. For this year only, the interim dividend represents 2/3 of the expected total, so the final dividend expected to be c. 4.43p but that's over 5% in total at the current sp. Impressive stuff! The outlook is a little more downbeat, reflecting realism that the current beneficial conditions can't continue indefinitely, but if MMH continue to outperform the sector in the way they have there's no reason to suspect a hard landing. Both the macro voices pod cast and the FT told me car builders could not get chips to make new cars. So demand for second hand cars will rise.
Hopefully we will rise with it.
Lots :-)

Pls be mindful Itisallagame is a troll and previously banned poster.
Tactic is to first encourage a stock and then start attacking genuine holders posts to cause doubt. Previously known as inconceivable I believe it was. Exactly the same style. Best to ignore and filter.

Impressive results given the economic environment and the particular pressures in the car market.
My questions are:
1) How are they able to buck a market trend to such an extent. What is their differentiating factor? Cost control, marques, customer base, revenue mix? Compare this to PDG, LOOK and we see a bit of an anomaly
2) How long can they continue to weather this storm? Key players in this industry are working on very fine net margins. The balance sheets typically are fixed asset heavy, so that is likely to make certain elements of cost control difficult (Depn, Amort, Occupancy costs). If revenues fall, are they all going to swing to a loss?
TL;DR - impressive results, good div yield, is it sustainable?

More good results and even an increased dividend as well during these uncertain times. At least this company has a really dynamic CEO to take things forward regardless of the Brexit outcome. This share seems so undervalued and should be well above £2.00 by now but nothing seems to impress the Brokers.

No comment since July 2018 and a PE of 2.5? What am I missing? I've had MMH on my Watchlist for a long time and the SP is 1.5p higher than 7 months' ago thanks to Brexit and the so-called onslaught of electric cars which supposedly need less maintenance. Rest assured punters will still be buying secondhand cars for years to come and after new car sales have fallen off a cliff the value of secondhand cars must rise and ought to mean higher profits for MMH from sales & servicing.

Less than 5K shares sold today but 40K+ of shares purchased and the sp is marked down!
After this latest very positive update what are the Brokers smoking?

Nice upward movement today. If next weeks results are encouraging let's hope it continues as by all accounts the sp should be at least 2 bearing in mind the net asset value.

Encouraging news and not much debt now so maybe there will be opportunities to acquire some more quality dealerships this year. Good "BUY" ratings as well in the press so with asset backing of about 2.35ps it still seems very undervalued!! Shares largely held by the II's so maybe this explains why the sp is trading so far below due to lack of liquidity? Substantial buys go through and the sp hardly moves??

Numbers and tone look good to me. Could this be an undervalued sector and this one of the undervalued in this sector? I'm holding on. Research note from Edison today - http://www.edisoninvestmentresearch.com/research/report/marshall-motor-holdings1993/full

Would be a great acquisition, 40+ dealerships in the Midlands with brands like Audi, VW, Toyota would really enhance the geographical footprint of MMH.

Yet more steady progress from this company. Whatever happens to the type of vehicles we drive they will still make good money doing what they do best viz: selling and trading. If it wasn't for all the recent gloomy press articles by journalists looking at half empty glasses I believe this share would be over £2. At this price it's a bargain!
