I’d have to disagree when it comes to the depreciation of the rental assets.
Used smartphones do depreciate, so those losses to equate to a reduction of capital within the company and are genuine losses unfortunately.
Thought I work out the companies EBITDA margin over the past 4 years. Long way to go to get back to the ~10% days.
Year end
5.49% 11/23 (+23%)
4.47% 11/22
8.38% 11/21
9.06% 11/20
Really ?
A loss is an accounting loss - a historic measure
EBITDA is a better indicator of the underlying performance
I prefer to did a little deeper than the headline figures.

A loss is a loss
You don’t get points for trying hard but still losing

Agree 100%
Personally - success for me lies in agreeing a buy-out by a third party
Refreshing that the board have taken a pay-cut - this is a good business and the leadership team are not only invested financially - i genunely believe they care and beleive in the business
I see no reason why the but-out won't happen - talks have been ongoing for a while now. It would not surpirse me if we wake up to the news at anytime now.
The board have taken a pay cut (when does that ever happen?)
Debt increased by rental asset purchases are offset by future rental cash flows and will eventually be sold off
Higher depreciation due to rental assets, goodwill write down and electricity re-charge increased losses by £5.5m on paper only.
Margins improving
No more rental asset purchases which take a while to convert to profit
Buyout still on the table
Think we'll see a fair few B&I trades coming over the course of the next few days/weeks.
The majority of those buys were mine. Nothing fancy I’m afraid, just bed & ISA. Sold roughly the same amount a few days prior.
I've been watching this for a very long time and took my first bite today. Hopefully I can add over the coming days at around this level.
This has come through a crucible of fire as a result is extremely lean with any capital spent in the most efficient and effective ways. Its been way oversold and the turnaround is already into full swing, the market simply hasn't recognised it yet.
Or too early to tell? 400k bought to 65k sold. Praying this was the nadir.
1.4m website visits in march. up from 1.2m in February.
still business as usual

Radio silence from a company that has reported burning cash for 2023 and in ‘talks’ with potential buyers for nigh on 6 months. So it’s a highly speculative buy for anyone right now. Could drag on like this for some time I imagine and if H1 does not show significant improvements we all lose.
This is absolutely tragic, topping out at 7 now, just keeps dropping. WTF is going on.
Few references to Music Magpie and links directly to their website. Every little helps.

I'm buying all day long sub 10p - I have more than enough already. But can't miss opportunities to add if / when these drfit any lower.
I'm 100% confident the market value of this business is significantly higher than the current MCAP - simple as that
Until that changes - I will continue to add. Any movemnets to the share price will not spook me in the slightest. Hardly any volume being traded at these levels. Directors not allowed to buy due to offer period and most shares remain in the same hands that they were in a year ago.
Good things come to those who wait :-)
You’re still buying! Wow
What would have to happen to convince you the price isn’t going to go up?
Broomtree - I do not remember lambasting anyone, let alone you.
There was lots of deramping and a number of posters fabricating doomsday stories.
The reality is that the company are still trading, still in conversations regarding change of ownership, still compliant with Bank covenants and have implemented cost savings.
Ofcourse the business has its challenges - but I remain adamant that the impact on the share price has way exceeded the genuine impact on its market value.
I'm a contented shareholders, staying patient and look forward to an update on the ownership structure
Braver person than me...until we hear me more from the company if fear this continues to slide...I wonder if their RnD / development have created some IP that might be worth something.
I looked at this when the takeover speculation exploded and was lambasted by hedge for questioning some of the 50p + ramping. Decided to give it a miss… some we win as they say
All good thank RedOliv :-)
Added a few more at sub 7p yesterday too
How are the nerves @hedge ?
