Major shorts have been reducing, as you have been outlining. It wasn't shorts driving last week's move. Huge retail job losses as predicted by the Next boss are amongst the issues pushing MKS down. Neil's sell off would have contributed to it though.
Pokerchips,
Cheers for the advice and input. You are a wise one.
Yes, lasts weeks fall was certainly induced by the shorts - we should see a big rebound over the next few weeks but we have some way to go before we reach the turning point - that will be when the vaccine is deemed safe and health workers, elderly and vulnerable groups start to be immunised.
Final squeeze from the short side and then could see some balance on the trade here .... mind you were nearing the October Nervosa so keep a few £s for the sudden shock

I don’t think we’ll see those prices but if so I for one will be topping up.
Valueplay,
Neil is indeed a character who thinks he knows it all and is above everyone else...and as such, the idea of accepting anyone correcting him is ..well..beneath him...
Always fun to see these characters reveal themselves...mostly without them even realising it....
Enjoy what he reveals to us all.....despite his obvious steps to change track...
Nice premium on todays closing UT from last trade at .93 with offer of 93.18 straight to .94 for the UT. Hopefully a better week next week and hopefully less spam and bickering on the forum too! Have a good weekend everyone
Sadim touch apparently
This will be in the 80s this time next week
Well you should know all about playgrounds!
We’ve discussed on this board M&S until we’re all blue in the face. Nothing more to discuss, only thing required is patience and a good build up to 4th November! Good luck all.
Neil,
Rather than reply to Pokerchips points you throw out more abuse calling me a woman and a grim reaper. There is a pattern to this of course. Whenever your narrative is threatened or others disagree with you you then throw around "school boy tit-for-tat" rather than engage in serious debate. Serious debate is where you get found out so you prefer to distract. I have always said positive things about the Ocado/MKS joint venture. With the plummeting share price though it's right to discuss the flaws in the rest of the MKS business.
As norrab1 puts it your "understanding of fiscal matters are pathetic.". To distract from this you try to belittle anyone who questions you.
The constant chopping and changing of your narrative and price targets along with false information posted regarding the Ocado/MKS joint venture is rightly questioned.
Let's see if from now on you can discuss the issues for MKS here in depth at a key point in their history rather than name call all those who disagree with you. A mature approach would be more engaging for all.
Couldn’t agree more Poker! She’s a real grim reaper and would be better accepted by all of there were some positive comments about the Nations best loved store! Anyone can find fault and it doesn’t take intelligence!
Good luck to all us M&S shareholders, I thank you.
Now I’m off for a well earned massage!
" Who made you the price target police? Are you sure you’re old enough to even be on these chat boards? You sound more like a spoilt child."
oh dear ...how dismal to get to that kind of response , especially when you seem naive Neil to think your chopping and changing of so called "convictions" wouldnt go unnoticed......price predictions are really best avoided....
You would do yourself more good if you merely accepted the point and explained the change in price, given the recent covid case uplift etc ...
All this school boy tit-for-tat is somewhat tedious
Crazy we seem to have an Ocado vs Marks and Spencers attitude going on in this forum.
Oh dear, another bitter sour dough comes out of the darkness! Great shareholding this idiot has!
Gotta laugh at this Neil character his understanding of fiscal matters are pathetic.
I’m really surprised the whole market hasn’t gone down much faster in the last 48 hours with a £2 trillion gov debt in UK. M&S has held up well!! I hope it’s reaching the bottom! You may have a bargain there Amiago well done!
Taken another 8k at 93.8, very happy with that. Have a good weekend everyone
This may become a re-entry faster than I thought! Looking good and more upgrades to come!
Patience! ))
A reliable vaccine being given to the people is still a long time away. Retail has changed forever as I have outlined in other posts. MKS (excluding the Ocado JV) is very out of touch with this new landscape.
Respect your views. You are standing by them. Others here are recommending daily with "strong buy" posts, pushing false information on Ocado/MKS and posting big price targets whilst in reality selling down the stock.
Of course changing strategy can work, especially if you amend to a successful one
Since July 5 when we first discussed the comparison Ocado are up 40.5%, MKS are down 4.25%. Ongoing MKS underperformance that is being repeated again today...
Price targets are all null and void at the moment - it will be a point in time when a vaccine becomes available that signifies the change - basically from a bear market to a bull market.
Most investors have now made their choices and are waiting patiently for that point in time - some have decided to sit on cash others have trawled the market for bargains - some have ridden out the storm with good profits.
The main thing is to have a clear strategy and stick to it - chopping and changing never works.
Superb, "100% confidence" yet consistently changing your price targets lower and target dates further into the future.
Wouldn't surprise me if you sold your remaining 50% soon..
Who made you the price target police? Are you sure you’re old enough to even be on these chat boards? You sound more like a spoilt child.
Neil,
Interesting that your price targets are lowering and the achievement dates on them are being pushed further out given you "believe in M&S 100%" (25 sept). Here's a selection of some of your recent targets:
21 sept - "I see £1.35 by mid November 2020."
15 sept - "M&S likely time be pushing £2 by Christmas this year!"
10 sept - "SP is cheap and we could be pushing 135 imo by November."
Now you've further changed your target to "I have targeted £135 for Christmas" (24 sept).
Won't be long before you change it again......
I have targeted £135 for Christmas and I standby that. As you have dreams of £100.00 for Ocado
Neil,
Having sold half your MKS holding what's your new MKS price target? You have talked for the past few months incessantly about 150p for MKS in October, 200p by end of year etc etc....
