Has to be fear of funding! Nothing else?
Need the MDA signing. Need to find $500m from somewhere to build the mine. that's the critical path.
$500m ??? Lmaooooo. Where did you get that figure From? They only need $230m mate. Time for you to get your head out of the cristalball because it’s telling you lies.
(caveat - i still hold all of my shares - even bought back the 13% i sold from the 5p days). I am just realistic.
Munch - I do not know what figure you are quoting. $388m needed in terms of capex (costings within the RNS below), it is not unreasonable to assume that over the following 3-5 years until we have sustainable production, there is another $100m needed in terms of operational expenses. When i read through the RNS, in my head i just remembered c500m. that's all. nothing vindictive.
Capital Cost Summary
Total Development Capital US$ million 277.4
Contingency US$ million 33.8
Total Development Capital Including Contingency US$ million311.2
Sustaining capital and reclamation US$ million 77.6
Total Capital Expenditure US$ million 388.8
im loving your shares at 5p cristallball, maybe thats when it was working lol.
it would be nice for you to mention along with the costs that we have $6.7b worth of material thats there. kind of ,makes the money required chicken feed. bought a few more today, rude not to.
I have consistently posted and provided the board with info, including the in situ valuation of the resource - via twitter. I am fully aware of what's there, the mining, processing and onsale costs give you the IRR /NPV.
The big issue is (and why i didn't want to see the DFS) - AIM is an imperfect market and doesn't give two hoots about fundamentals. If we have one sniff of interest from a super major, this will do cartwheels. However, based on what we know, we need a lorry load of cash , and an MDA. As i said.
Fear of funding is all too real.
The biggest problem that confronts all AIM stocks.
But it shouldn't be too much pain for MKA, the sp is already factoring in possible fund raise?
It's absolutely ludicrous to assume funding will not be forthcoming. The commercial banking institutions have been to the site and a new CFO in place to handle that particular situation, need I mention it's a CFO with relative experience in the mining sector on the African continent. Now they also have the DFS to draw figures from, so it's all done above board and proper. The next marker is the MDA, and I don't expect that to be too long to follow, especially now as the Minister of Mining, (for Malawi), has also visited the site.
We may have a provisional banking assessment presented on the assumption, (no doubt in my mind), the MDA will be given to MKA.
The other avenue as CristalBall asserted, is the fact that we could easily be bought out at an offer that may be hard to pass up considering what we have and the requirement of much needed #REE material for the future and right now. In which case, YES, the sp will go absolutely crazy... and make no mistake there are those sniffing around, and most probably will make a bid upon release of the MDA!
Please note that the BoD may already have a provisional offer at hand on confirmation of the MDA, but due to NDA's may not be able to release to market.
Whatever the case, it's a win win scenario either way!
The problem is not many of us know how good this is and what is going on. MM's are just treating this as a bulk standard explorer as there is not much else they can do. Just a shame we don't have a pr and ramp Crewe like 88E
Super , your tone has certainly changed somewhat surprisingly and especially after telling others I was trying to trade this share with my posts hoping it would influence others, my 21m followers r real :))
Why would COTEC come in at 27p ? Or HNW buy around 28-32p if that dates they fade if TRI purchases is correct ? Talaxis were forced to give up their rights in songwe, coincidence perhaps ? Pre-agreed deal with the US that didn’t want any type of Far East related involvement?
The proof is in the pudding and everyone makes their own choices. Ok …so they might have fallen behind on timescales but I can’t think of too many mining companies in Malawi that have submitted an MDA for such a critical mine of huge importance.
Rest assured them morning coffees are finalising the MDA on a daily basis. It’s not like Australia for eg where they must have hundreds of applications being processed all the time. This is a first for Malawi.
Munch
You are right. We know how good this is. The market will know soon enough. I have waited years on this so a bit longer is fine.
Super. Just want to make it clear I have a lot of respect for u mate regardless of what our opinions are. You are a very knowledgeable and informed poster with respectable views so what you say certainly gets my attention.
I went through a phase of being really negative about Mka but that was because I wanted songwe sold overnight so I can retire lol.
I have realised that things take time especially when waiting on a asset to mature and it’s not like a casino where I would put it all on red.
Let’s hope today can be the start of a kick upwards.
Good luck to everyone with the choices they make. Let’s all make lots of money on this Mka horse.
Bit of interest on tsx opening!
