Resource rich country. Sluggish at the moment but a good hold for bad times in UK
Nearly 20% below NPV and solid investments with a good yield.

Absolutely. For geographical balance with a decent yield

Buying opportunity?
Probably return on cash at present. Possible $ weakness ahead. But Canada rich in natural resources - will be a buy when cheap enough!
Still don’t get it . NAV 140 plus quarterly income and the price down here!
With the NAV so far away from the share price, why don’t they capitalise on some of the investments and pay an extra dividend or at least do another buy back? The yield is high enough to justify a higher price.

great crystal ball you have.
I am happy to stay invested. Good dividend and will be well over £1 IMHO once this virus is out of the way....in the meantime, enjoy the dividend!
Any opinion about recent weakness.covid does not help but this is a strong portfolio with good long term infrastructure and diversification in strong US companies.
NAV 110.7. It never ceases to amaze me the difference between NAV and trading price still happy to pick up the DVI.

"Purchase of Redeemable Participating Preference Shares into Treasury The Company announces that it purchased today for cash 100,000 redeemable participating preference shares each of no par value in the Fund, a cell of the Company. The shares were purchased at a price per share of 102.5 pence. The shares will be held in treasury."
16% below NPV and the next 1.25p quarterly dividend already apart . Difficult to get my head round this fund yielding 5%.

I am still buying but I too don't understand the gap. Are there no predatory active investing outfits lining it up ?
Still can't work out why we are so far below NAV. I don't intend to sell but the value is well out of sync. Anyone have any ideas?

I hold a lot here in my pension fund partly because of the yield. 15% below NAV and if you look at the investments held, they look solid.
Has recovered well on currency changes . I am still buying on a monthly basis. Any views ?
Still 16% below the sp and 1.5p next quarterly dividend discounted.

Net Asset Value As at the close of business on 31 March 2016 the estimated unaudited Net Asset Value per share was 90.41 pence (including accrued income). What am I missing...20% below NAV and still paying the same divi.....

"As at the close of business on 14 January 2016 the estimated unaudited Net Asset Value per share was 79.89 pence (including accrued income, which excludes an amount of 1.25 pence per share in respect of the quarterly dividend to be paid on 29 January 2016)." Current yield of 7%. I'm happy to hold here.

There is some concern about the currency and some weakness due to commodity prices. I'm not sure this explains that the sp in 10% below the NAV. With a yield of over 6%, I hold a decent amount in my pension fund and consider this as a long term investment. GL with whatever you decide to do.
Still intrigued by this . Have been topping up in small amounts since September but I cannot get any logical analysis of the lack of movement in what should be a safe haven . Any followers out there help ?
NAV. 89.32, current price 77.5 or 15% below after paying 1.5 quarterly dividend I.e. a yield of 7.7%. Can anyone explain?
Yielding 6%. How much longer can this last. Either the dividend will be cut or the price is too low! I hope the latter.

Thanks. I have held small amounts in the past primarily for income within my SIPP . The attraction of recovery in Canada is appealing and the yield is so good . I think I will start topping up gradually.
