It's just numbers.
Platinum saw value - but only at a certain level. After that, the model just doesn't work for them.
But let's not forget how the Private Equity Boys work guys.
No, the share price isn't going to magically jump up through a pound, so please manage expectations. But, longer-term the management should have just as much chance at creating forward momentum, without the added burden of a Platinum Tax hanging over them.
What have you based that on then?
Hi Trent, not sure is that meant for my reply?
@FD. No mate, to whoever it was that thought we were going down to 50p. Sorry mate.
Ok Trent, I was not sure. Hope the poster provides the reasoning behind the suggestion.
Cheers.
Back to November 47p -51p
Back to November 47p'51p?
@ Club1967. Yeah, good luck getting that as your entry price. If I see that, I'll add a cheeky top up myself.
M&B's current SP is at almost a 20% discount to the NAV., hardly crazy!
Price is what you pay, value is what you get!
Trent, had it at 29p 10 months ago so who knows
I’d quadruple my holding at 50p. But don’t believe that will happen unless there’s terrible COVID news... which vaccine should stop happening. The Carlsburg plus other news and declined takeover bid surely underpin the share price at around current support levels so I’m bullish.
@ Club1967. Yes, good point. I apologise for sounding @rsey. We all know how low it went to, don't we? Who'd have seen that coming.?
Personally, I see the lows of approximately 60-65p myself, but I have been proved wrong before.
Again, apologies for perhaps a poor post from myself. No hard feelings. If you're right, I'll happily buy you a couple of Hobgoblins.
Trent700
I hope I'm completely wrong.
22nd Feb-Boris bouncing roadmap out of this mess will be a good indicator for all
I think your right on.tjose lows of 60
Gla
Don’t see why this should drop significantly, but if it does, I’ll top up for sure.
Have the 50p dreamers moved on to a different target yet?? Muppets. Positive sentiment now filtering through in waves following direct, no nonsense vaccination action over the past few weeks. People laughed at the 15 million target when it was set for today and it was hit a day before!! Maybe the govt should get some credit for rolling out the vaccine at a monumental pace- as the rest of Europe haven't had it happen quite as smoothly, have they?
Exactly my original point.... was never gonna happen! These derampers make me so angry!
Agreed. Bought in on Friday expecting this rise today. I know I shouldn’t have listened but came on here, saw the negativity. Got in my head. Sold out. Missed a 10% rise. Learned my lesson. Don’t listen to complete morons. Only have myself to blame.
Almost Sold on Friday because of some of the muppets in here! Glad I didn't. What annoys me about the media is that they are very quick to criticize this government on their failures over the past year but yet there is very little applause from them when they are getting things right.
Joe - why even think of heeding advice from a muppet????!
Pleasantly surprised to see the market being so positive. Oilers, pubs restaurants and even easyjet getting an uplift today.
USA is shut. Allows us room to breath and think for ourselves. Reopening will come. All these things will fly. Not too late to buy back in if you let the others get to you.
Jimmy
Very well said, and just to prove that some posters are apparently too idle to DYOR, if "muppets" isn't bad enough peaks & troughs blames the fact that he sold out on Friday because he listened to "complete morons".
Sometimes you have to pinch yourselt to ensure you're not dreaming....
Thanks for the patronising post Barchid.
There’s a difference between listening to someone and letting them sow seeds of doubt in your head.
Why do you think people deramp in the first place.
Sanctimonious p**k.
