Transaction#1: Farm out of six Marathon Oil-operated wells in North Dakota Further to its announcement of 20 May 2017, Magnolia has agreed to farm-out (‘the Farm-Out’) its interest in six Marathon Oil-operated wells targeting the Bakken and Three Forks Sanish formations in North Dakota for an upfront cash consideration of US$150,000. Magnolia did not incur any costs in relation to these interests. In addition to receiving an upfront cash payment, Magnolia will retain an interest in all six wells via a back-in after payout arrangement, providing the Company with exposure to future production and cash flow. As a result of the Farm-Out, Magnolia will no longer be required to pay any of its share of the costs for drilling and completing the six wells.
This is a cracking statement :- Magnolia CEO, Rita Whittington said, “After securing what we regard as a game-changing agreement with WED to invest and manage on their behalf up to US$18.5 million of foreign capital under the US Immigrant Investor Programme, today’s transactions are part of a re-evaluation and realignment of our portfolio to participate alongside WED. By providing Magnolia with an additional revenue stream based on asset management services as well as low risk expansion of our lease position and well count, WED represents an excellent platform with which to fast-track our objective to generate substantial value, and we intend to take full advantage of this opportunity.
Full steam ahead. Set all sails for the trip to the land of milk and honey. This shows us that Rita has been busy for the past few weeks.

I must say that I was hoping for little more than a flicker of interest from the market to uplift the SP. But now taking a more pragmatic view on things, certainly in my case, I realise that I was being far too optimistic and wishful in my expectation of the market’s positive recognition of the new order at MAGP, with investors eagerly taking up positions and buying into the vision. On reflection, my personal take is now that the SP is more likely to improve in line with proven results as they are reported, and when there are demonstrable signs that the WED/MAGP partnership is delivering; I’ve no doubt this will happen and I’m betting on a short timescale before this begins to transpire. Only when this becomes clear will things really kick off, and then we can rightly expect a more significant advancement in the SP.
check out the Ask on NEX. why the difference?
Positivity at last this needs a boost and I thought it would come after the GM getting rid of the NTOG / Snead cloud once and for all. Some good well results would help .
Troy, at least it's a start. lol
Lol, not really what I had in mind

I agree with you GD, a reward of 0.5p SP at end of Q3 is a nice thought, and it would be interesting to establish the level of support for Rita received from people like us in the “small investor” category but I’m not certain whether this info will be released. I know it’s for market consumption, but one slice of encouragement I take from the general tone of the presentation is Rita’s sense of urgency by stepping up the pace of development (fast track) in order to, at least, regain much of the ground lost due to the impact of falling price of oil. I’m probably being soft but to some extent I also see this as being indicative of Rita’s recognition of shareholder frustration, and that particularly felt by LTH’s. Surely, for her own part, she must share this with us all, and will naturally want to see a timely and successful culmination of the Maggie strategy…sooner, rather than later; I hope!
