'Britain must go it alone when it comes to interest rates'
That has gone really well for Erdoğan; we really need the Brilliance of the Lettuce back.
BT, wars the UK never should have been dragged into!
Sticky - could tell you plenty as an ex squaddie but it’s nothing to do with Lloyds….oh and you left out the Falklands which the US wasn’t too happy about!
BT, how about Iraq and Afghanistan?
....better than kow towing to the Brussels mafia STP.
It’s not a case of ‘jumping’ it’s common sense applied, money oils the financial system, get out of sync with that and you’re inviting problems
We are now sitting at low 50’s much better than low 40’s, no? We have this millstone of the car insurance that we need to get past to allow this to regain a sensible level. Until then enjoy the divi!
STP.
Yes, when America says jump we jump.
When Germany said jump the whole EU jumped, short memory syndrome .
When Ireland, France and Holland voted No, the EU said vote again and tick this box, which all three did.
Germany invited 1.5 million immigrants to walk through sovereign EU and they did !
We are not he only ones whom jump when told.
Livestock.
Well one day they may get it correct.
I am happy with the rates as they are, ignore experts for what repercussions do they have/get when they get it wrong, which is more often than not. Low interests suit those that caused the financial problems, to bail themselves out and cover their backs.
Lower interests may and it is a may ,help share prices, but it is not guaranteed and the market will dictate that.
I have more invested in other instruments than just stocks, so it is swings and round abouts.
Whilst we have had years of low interest rates with the masses losing hundreds billions , the real wealthy have lapped it up, low interests suit them for their wealth is mostly on paper and now dependent on cheap loans.
Take Musk, he did not buy Twitter with his own cash he borrowed it, to have sold his shares where most of his wealth is, he would have had a massive capital gains to pay.
FB,USA barks orders and UK jumps to attention!
28% buyback complete & only 52p = Motor Finance thingy-bob stuff 😏
After 48 trading days, buyback complete to date:
Total shares to date....................................................1,113,054,061
Aggregate cost to date... ........................................... £559,098,966.81
Average price paid to date..........................................50.2311p
Percentage of £2 billion buyback completed............27.95%
The oecd talk blckoks about the UK regularly and the left wing media lap it up.
They rarely report it when the oecd predictions are proven wrong time and again.
I take your point re rates though.
The need to bring the Bank rate down is underlined by the latest economic forecasts from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

All positions are separately done, but this is the gross average @ the moment.
Have a lovely evening, speak tomorrow if possible....ATB
Better still, tell us where we can go to stop them ?
2 x £100
1 x £50

Charles if you don't like the moans and groans on here then stop reading
P51
from fakey
''Shorting @ 50.59p
Shorting @ £500pp''
''Averged now @ 51.44p..''
''Have added more short @ 52.40p''
''Averged @ 51.76p''
I can not understand the moans and groans on this BB. For myself Lloyds has a progressive dividend policy; with the share price supported by a buy back scheme. What more do you want?
I like all the others on this BB do not want anymore illegal immigrants; but this BB is not the place to try and stop them.
P51
smoke and mirrors from fakey - I always kept each SB opened/closed as a separate entity.

SO - 48p a possibility, but 34.5p will happen in the coming months -
something not quite right there
Plenty of interest in this data tomorrow ...gla.
