Started this fantasy portfolio in 2016 to challenge various poster's perception that lloy is 'the worst share ever', 'better else where' or a 'dire share',

Mr Asp
Respect..
The portfolio always good to read.
NIOX looking like a bidder in the offing so may need to replace that one if the case..
So who we go with....?
Gunsup
Would you like to suggest a stock to compete/compare with Lloy going forward?
Asperger1 ,
Very encouraging that you still post this after so many years.
Although I am new to this platform it is educational looking at the various values over time.
I bet everyone wishes they purchased RR as the clear winner.
Keep up the good work.
Chef.
Mr ASP
Respect... Is a big ask that one.. A stock which never seem to reach it potential but is a big player in its sector..Ummh..Let me say GLEN.. But there are wiser heads on this BB for sure so if they want to put in their pennyworth?
I still thinking about what Trump he said " He was going to monetize the asset side of the USA balance sheet" ... Now we have a lot of movement with the gold.....As Mr Chip he knows. Respect Mr Chip. I ask a friend who is very clever man.. He was thinking what if they throw in the curve ball and revalue gold and monetise it with a blockchain.. Lordy Lordy who knows.. But they has to do something radical. USA revenue from taxes , exclude tariff around $5trillion. Next 3 years $28tr in treasuries come due.. Not take my word so look yourself.. is a lot of extra potential debt If this true...
Still Uk has own problem so lets see what storm Rachel brings in her spring statement on 26th..😫
Chef
Yes, from a simple challenge to the persistent negativity from a certain poster at that time, the portfolio history hi-lites the different aspects (and risks) of investing in the stock market over the years,
Just a few months ago Lloy SP performance was looking pretty dismal compared to most others on the list, and yet even given the recent increase in Lloy SP the portfolio still points to further potential gains compared to Barc and NWG
RR is another example of how things can change over time, the SP was down in the dumps back in a relatively peaceful 2020, congratulations to those prepared to invest in RR at that time.

Asperger1, Thank you for the research. I too have held a small amount of LLOY since 2016 doubling up during the COVID crash. I knew there was a dilution in 2007 but the scale of it astounded me. Even with the buybacks continuing apace it would indeed take years to get anywhere near that lower level of shares in issue. Added to this, that the bank is smaller and retail only, it is a wonder that the SP is what it is today. I am happy with this stock as it is not as volatile as BARC which I also hold.
