Its funny how we have such short memories. The company raised money from its largest shareholders and if I am not mistaken from company directors as well a very short time ago. The convertible bond converts at a substantial premium to the current share price so ask yourself who knows best, the shareholders and directors or a few Market Makers messing about with the price to suit their own books because they can?
You could dig this gold out with a Poundland spade, and still the SP continues to drop, what's going on ?
Iptuf, you still comment on other shares. Rosetintedspecs has NEVER commented on any other share. Ever. Don't you find that strange. He claims to have many other investments, so for someone who is such a prolific commenter, you'd think they would have something to chip in elsewhere. But nothing, only bullish fill ya boots comments about 1 stock seems very dubious to me. They also add extra positive spin on the firms news Releases. It's just not real.
To be fair Mark, some of my investments are on TSX.v so you wouldn't find me commenting on many London listed shares outside of here and MILA. Thankfully, MILA running away with it so PF doing well. My average here is 3.6p so waiting for this to turn...
You said "But actually, this is not my only investment, far from it" does that not imply you have many other investments?
It appears your trying to step back from that comment you made because it justifies my question as to why you haven't and don't comment on those other investments.
Well, I didn't say I have "many" other investments. You seem to conclude this on your own. I said that this one was "significant". And yes, I am comfortable with the investment, largely because I picked the stock up when it was a real penny stock. So I'm still in the money even though the price hasn't exactly been heroic from a performance standpoint over the past 12 months or so. And now, yes I'm comfortable with what I see coming out in terms of hard announcements in a time frame where everything has been affected by Covid delays... Just something we have to live with for a bit longer. We're all in this together, and I trust our patience will be rewarded.
So you say you have many other investments. Then why have you never commented on other shares. And if LEX and RLD before that was a major investment for you, why can you not be worried about the SP performance. How can you not be concerned as to why the SP is heading south.
Ahh, Mr. Long, I wish I did work for LEX, unfortunately I am just an old fashioned investor who likes to do a bit of research on smaller companies and who runs them so I can assess their track records. The extra cash from a salary would be useful. Boohoo, but it's not real. But actually, this is not my only investment, far from it... But the secret to investing is to put objectivity at the top of your list. And, since you seem to be curious as to whether I am a flag carrier of sorts for LEX, well, yes, it's a substantial investment for me, and frankly, I'm very comfortable with it. But no, I'm not working for them. I do wish them the best of luck though. Perhaps excuse the hype... Like fill yer boots, which I suppose is an ancient version of the current terminology... Go large!!!
rosetintedspecs every post of yours on this platform is about LEX. Investors normally have more than 1 investment. All your posts about LEX are way over bullish. Always encouraging people to buy. You also add extra spin to any RNS announcement and telling people to fill their boots. Why does LEX need to try and control this forum, why do they need to quash any questions about the lack of performance of the SP. Wouldn't you agree that only a corrupt outfit would have a stooge planted in a forum to steer Investors and try to manipulate the flow of information.
Hi Iptuf. You make an interesting point here, however, I can totally understand why management do not want to release the information as to which plots they are interested in. As I understand it, unlike the UK, mineral rights reside with land owners. If land owners know which bits of land are next to which new anomaly or next to which drill hole, they will be able to hold out for a higher price.
My understanding is that this is very sensitive information and LEX are trying to eke out mineral rights as quietly and as cheaply as they possibly can. I think we should leave them to it and to use their local contacts. There are specialists who do this for a living over there...
As for the rest of your post.. Agree, this financing tides LEX over and will allow them to release lots of info to the market which should result in a fundamental revaluation of the prospects of the company. I am particularly looking forward to seeing the results of the drilling on Loflin South which, if its positive, may prove that indeed, South Loflin and the new anomaly are actually one. This would potentially have a huge impact on the JORC compliant reserve estimates in that area
Bring it on, fill yer boots, etc etc..
We're waiting on two more sets of results, both of which should be relatively high grade. Funding is not an imminent issue so I'd expect good movement but need management to actually start releasing the data they have. Previously said they had not as they were trying to pick up more land. When are we going to hear about either these new licenses they're trying to negotiate around JKL or the geophysics?
Rosetintedspecs, if I rephrase the question you might answer, do you have shares in other companies or just lex?
Market was very weak yesterday. Announcement yesterday ended with stock marginally up.. They are expecting the assays this week according to yesterday's brief. I agree with Iptuf. Seeing is believing.. Let's see the colour of your money... But all will start to be revealed very soon..
Rosetintedspecs, how many companies have you got shares in?
Positive step. Now need them to start releasing data they've been sitting on for a while. Help investors visualise the targets around what's known.
And it's had no effect on the share price. Which means the market isn't impressed.
If we needed a message of encouragement on LEX, we got it this morning. Effectively the directors and the gnomes of Bangkok have raised £325k as a convertible.. At 3.2p conversion price, a 30%premium to Friday's close.
1. I had heard a little whisper from my broker that there was a potential capital raising in the offing.
2. I guess that the directors didn't like the pricing in this ****ty market so;
3. They decided not to sell cheap to the public at a price lower than the 2020 offering, instead,
4. They raised money at a 30 % premium to last Friday's close and to the stock up themselves..
What this tell me is that the major shareholders are a. Still very supportive and b. Think that 3.2p per share is still a bargain.. Otherwise they would not have taken up the offer.. So where does that leave us?
Well, 1. I think it shows that those in the know must be very confident that the JORC reserves will move in the right direction.
2. We are expecting assay results in more Loflin North and south anytime now and at Jones Keystone.
3. We should have 3 JORC compliant reserves at the end of this Covid delayed exercise, likely by end of June or July.
4. It stands to reason that the announcements of these will push the share price up from here..
There would appear that there is lots left on the table for buyers at the current level, if the major shareholders and directors are all champing at the bit to get in on the action AT A PREMIUM, shouldn't the market be doing the same?
This share has been very disappointing for me, on the whole very positive RNS', based in a stable country, yet week on week, month on month the share price on the whole drops.
Mr Caveat has also been quite for a while
I'm well under and can't see this changing anytime soon.
I guess the big question at this SP if you had the funds would you punt more money in here.
For me its my second biggest investment an I'm sticking to what I've punted and going to ride this out.
Good luck all.
ALWAYS BELIEVE
YNWA
Mr specs, it is frustrating but deeply worrying. The signs point one wsy whilst the traffic flows in the opposite direction. Once the first results were released this share should have risen, yet it didn't. And continues to fall despite more seemingly good news. Why?
Very frustrating it is Mr. Long. Eventually, you can't keep a good one down.. The sheer weight of good news eventually will win out.. Keep the faith.
Based on the performance of the share price, there must be something we are missing. Is it the case the shareholders might not benefit from the value of these finds. Is there a lack of faith in the management by the city? What is it??? Why when seemingly excellent news is posted the share price drops????
Fair point Iptuf. Though CEO's podcasts and the RNSs are generally very informative.. I'm sure management pick this post up. Lots of the directors own stock and then there's the gnomes of Bangkok. I'm sure they are pushing for accurate communication of updated facts..they do keep buying and buying. Anyway, more assays due in the next few days..
Let's see how we get on.
Co have been putting out okay assays but the last one was superb, really really top draw. Best intercept since we took over the license and is sat on a completely separate deposit. Talking at least 50% uplift to current JORC but maybe more. More high-grade assays to come too.
Having said that, I really think they need to get their act together regarding geophysics. Give investors more of an idea of targets. Nothing helps more than visuals. Update the presentation (now 18months old and a lot has happened since then). It's not ramping just lay out the investment opportunity here, don't make PI's work to find out all the details. We need some momentum and unfortunately we're not getting much help from those in charge. I'm sure some of the views are echoed by others in here.
Think that's a balanced view from someone who believes in the potential of these assets.
Why is the share falling? What is it about this share that people don't like?
We're supposed to be getting the assays from the rest of Loflin this week... Time to pick a few more up it seems..
