Shorting!!!
Something we can all to to hopefully eliminate this investing cancer: Please sign if you agree
Government Petition to Ban shorting of London AIM stocks.
The AIM stock market is where smaller companies list their shares rather than using the prohibitively expensive main London Stock Market. This is an important market for the growth of smaller UK companies.
In challenging times, shorters seek to borrow the company's shares from a holder for a consideration and to buy them at a later date. They immediately sell these shares which, due to the relative illiquid market, sends the price much lower and hence the shorters can buy them at that lower price - pocketing the difference. The only beneficiaries are the shorters and the market makers with the losers being the reputable company and it's bona fide investors.

I think its great news and don't get this "on the cheap." sounds like a two year sweetener contract to get them addicted to the platform.
Be good to see them get a few more contracts like this though all the same as well as update on their own business of course.
Not giving much away really are they when you read it through properly?
a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-assignable license to FLFL. FLFL will not acquire any other rights or interest in the platform, the technology or intellectual property.
Bloodshot... I think thats great news.... This platform can be used for any Internet sales business not just clothing....
Its this statement from MT that has me a bit worried Jambon..sounds like theyre not just stopping at FLFL. Shes talking as if its going to be a new source of income. Sounds a bit like selling the family jewels on the cheap to me.
"Mary Turner, CEO of Koovs said: "We believe that Koovs' technology platform is both market-leading and a proven success in India's rapidly expanding ecommerce market. This contract underlines the significant additional potential for growth that can be achieved by licencing our technology to third parties."

Another utube video loaded yesterday with over 12 million views
They have also gained 40,000 utube subscribers in the last few weeks.... Now well over 700k followers!
I'm inclined to agree, however, in reality what choice do Koov's management have given their current position. It's clearly important that they have a good working relationship with Future Group going forwards. On a positive note the more integrated the two companies become the higher the likelihood that Future Group will move to acquire the Koovs business. We really need to know what is happening at the trading level and whether Koovs have been able to get back on the growth path at the revenue level and, most importantly, what they anticipate the time-line is to break-even.
Bloodshot...
Upon delivery of the platform, the Company will issue FLFL a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-assignable license to FLFL. FLFL will not acquire any other rights or interest in the platform, the technology or intellectual property
Im not sure that giving away our website technology to the competition for 1.4m is such a good idea on the face of it but lets see. If were choosy enough about who we give it to it might work out. Good news that the funding will go ahead anyway. We really still need some good numbers though to rerate into double figures sp
Quoted 7.8, but can't buy at the moment
This is a great piece of news today for Koovs. It’s the start of the synergies and efficiencies being realised from the partnership between FLF and Koovs.
Essentially, we’ll be using our technical know-how to help bring FLF’s range online which is relatively simple from a technical perspective as we already have the infrastructure and right people in place. It will help our balance sheet, and more importantly, it will help us get better efficiencies in distribution as FLF will have to build out their delivery network to fulfil Brand Factory online sales. As an added bonus for FLF, the Brand Factory website will also benefit from any learning and insight we gain from operating and optimizing the Koovs site.
Hopefully this will also convince some of the ‘less positive’ members of the board who seem to think Koovs are a charity case. FLF benefit by selling their premium brands on Koovs, and now we’re using our online expertise to help with their brands which aren’t suitable for Koovs. Our benefit is obviously coming from better manufacturing and distribution. There’s a reason FLF invested in us, and it’s because it’s a brilliant strategic partnership where we are both better off together. As I’ve said before, I wouldn’t be invested in Koovs they had just got funding last year – it’s the FLF partnership which convinced me.
Also, I agree with HH, “subject to necessary regulatory approvals or via an alternative structure, as may be permitted under the Indian Laws.” to me looks like there may have been some regulatory issues but both parties are committed to either working them out or finding a way around them.
FLF are well worth a bit of background reading for those with a serious interest in Koovs - particularly KB's retail 3.0 vision, and how we'll fit into it.
Trying to get some on Halifax but can not buy any thing
None of us saw that one coming! Unexpected, but positive for the partnership of FLFL and Koovs going forward. Fingers crossed for some good trading figures in April.
I dont know what to expect today.... Its the first bit of positive news since September! Should have some kind of rise you would think
On the other hand i wont be surprised if there is no movement or it finishes flat after a rise
im anticipating a 15-20 % up today...?
