This is becoming a habit with Kelso ….. no movement at all …..
No movement on Kelso at all ….. … bit odd, no?
Did mouldings plan work ....to buy kelso and silence them on THG?
Just a reminder that the delisting meeting is set for 4th april. will be interesting to see if aim listing stimulates any retail interest.
They did indeed state in the RNS of 12th jan that the intention was to announce the results in march(including strategy), so was also expecting one by today. wont be too bothered though if they overrun a bit, as the substance is going to be more important than the timing. im also interested in what implications the works's proposed move to aim may have(if any).
Was promised for end of March so should have been today?
Real dog this one. lost a lot in its buys.
I do wonder if kelso is behind the change, as part of its plan to increase shareholder value. yesterday's RNS refers specifically to kelso as having given an irrevocable undertaking to vote in favour. just speculating of course.
Moving to aim.https://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2024/03/the-works-stock-exchange/ don't think this has been mentioned.not sure of its impact if any,but cost savings sound encouraging.
Ophorst van Marwijk Kooy Vermogensbeheer N.v.
Its not a " he" its an investment management .
"Ophorst Van Marwijk Kooy Vermogensbeheer N.V. (OVMK) is an initiative of Diane Ophorst and Reinhard van Marwijk Kooy, both fervent supporters of the successful investment style "Value Investing" for many years." From their website
Doesn’t he hold shares in THG too?????
“There was some love shown towards The Works after Kelso Group, which invests in small and mid-cap British companies such as THG (down 2.1 per cent, or 1.42p, to 67.28p) and Angling Direct (flat at 39p), bought shares in the arts and crafts firm on Valentine's Day.
It snapped up 345,000 shares at around 24.03p each, taking its stake to almost 6pc.
Two Kelso directors also took up seats on the board of The Works.
Shares in The Works rose 4.5 per cent, or 1.1p, to 25.65p and Kelso Group lost 1.6pc, or 0.05p, to 3p.”

Dustymop I think if things were the other way around for who joined who's Board you would see an appreciable jump in both share prices. Just imvho
Well the news seems to have given the works a bit of a shot in the arm. currently up 10.8%,although there is a big spread ,so hard to assess true impact. anyway, good news for kelso holders imo.
IF Matt Moulding joined the board of Kelso that would make a great Rns. The fact all kelso investments need e-commerce technologies and branding. Its like the dragons den on steroids but allowing small investors to have a share in it. I invested in Kelso based on the fact Its cheaper than a investment trust and actively managed. I did not expect Matt Moulding of THG to take a position a few months ago and todays news makes it very interesting.
I had him as buying prior to the placing Brewman91 at the 3.4p to 3.5p and the placing would have given him the opportunity for more.
All purely for investment purposes (Lol)
New RNS out.
Matt increased by 1% to a hair over 7% total.
Interesting times
For any who haven't seen it, there is a reference by yorek on the THG board at 9.47 to a response by kelso on linkedin to the recent update.
I wonder if we will see another TR1?
I'm very surprised MM didn't take up some shares in the placing.
OSG...
I'm glad I sold out when the deluded one and his mate came on board. Now a discounted placing to boot.
Section 303 of the Companies Act is actually about 2 things.
Firstly it is about the ability to call a General Meeting.
But also Secondly it is about the ability to Table a Motion or Resolution
Perhaps on your research Slide 19 of this presentation which John Goold presented to a Mello Investors forum might be of some assistance

Or what happened between Boohoo and Revolution Beauty might make things a bit clearer.

As you say, always ensure you dyor.
You can post up a simple apology in your own time.
DYOR FFS
Section 303 CA 2006 (Companies Act) has got nothing to do with removing directors from a company - its to do with the ability to call a general meeting. I'm pretty sure you need to look at the Articles of of Association to determine how to add/ remove directors.
Maybe if future try GYFR (Get Your Facts Right).
Look at the buys! I'm expecting another TR1 tomorrow!
250k shares purchased. Sp doesn't move.
100k shares sold. Sp drops.
275k shares unknown trade sp remains down.
After hours sp goes neutral?!?
What a load of balls.
