form 8.3 shows sky's holding, it is not an 8.5 showing a purchase or sale of shares. sky has not increased or decreased their holding. It did initially look interesting. I hope this doesn't imply I know the significance, or the reason for the RNS. Exile is correct, sky have had this holding for a while. Custos is still the only possible saviour in town and that comes without a guarantee! Finding the poster with the best (inside?) knowledge of JPR is difficult but GL all. Sad that such a company has been stitched up by paying directors too much for too little work. How come some idiot on the board hasn't said 'how do we engage with a younger cohort to sell online words and hence advertising'. I can still remember the days when a flat capped old bloke who always looked freezing cold shouted POST before taking a sixpence and handing over the days news - unavailable anywhere else. The best day was Saturday for the football results edition before 5-30, collated printed and on the street corner before 5-30. I think I have moved on but JPR just couldn't quite manage it. As I said good luck all, if you speak to our saviour tell him / her to get a move on or it will be too late. ( it makes me chuckle writing a few words about a newspaper publisher and then clicking that 'p' button.
Not sure really exile only announced on the 6th so surely they were beyond the permitted time limit from the start of the SR. Maybe they are showing an interest hope so.
Sky have always had that stake in Jpr!? Right?
Hopefully we will have a nice Christmas!
Could multi bag in the near future.
nice to see the spread looking a little healthier....
#Shinfalls. Hope u are rightm8! I'm also waiting for a drop to increase my holdings after sold a few to invest in Faron which is doing fine for me also. I'm impatiently waiting for the viking's 30% and we can then say "Aurevoir" to the BOD. Vgla
Oct 22 "Churchill said :The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. I call it the art of seeing the unseen" - Christen-Ager Hanssen IMHO: Jpr is an opportunity too big to miss folks!
ATB all holders. I truly hope the Viking does indeed come through and save JPR and keep it as a going concern. Certainly prefer the FS pension to remain at JPR rather than it been jettisoned off to the PPF. Followed JPR and traded many times since 2008 all but once with the SIPS was I as a slight loss - rest decent profit. Have to state I agree with all the Viking has stated about JPR board. Milked it dry and for near total shareholder value wipeout. It is high risk and potentially high reward, do think the market isn’t impressed with the Viking and certainly the Bondholders are in near total control. Market certainly thinks so. GL
Surprise me at all if that is in his ‘plans’ - just that waiting for admin and buying it for a pound. Far more likely than a takeover at 16-20 pence that particularly some of the recent holders keep banging on about. Market is not impressed with the Viking after the first time - and due diligence was not done because if the Viking knew about the poison pill he wouldn’t have touched this - barking on and trying to save face. CA are and before involvement with JPR had an impressive reputation that preceded them. Again I have not known of a company in this situation turning its fortunes around and the market certainly doubts it. Paying 3.5 million out for nothing other than the result putting JPR up for sale is just one of the many things that beggars belief. Bondholders in near total control - don’t hold myself - but obviously want to see what will happen to my pension and my former employer - near 20 year employment.
Just 4% needed for Custos. I wonder when they will collect it.
#Shinfalls. "VICTORIOUS WARRIORS WIN FIRST AND THEN, GO TO WAR, WHILE DEFEATED WARRIORS GO TO WAR FIRST AND THEN, SEEK TO WIN" - SUN-TZU
How many do you have??
That's the game Investors55 well done, hope there are more profits to come with the rest of your JPR, SOON.
Bluedreamer. Had to take some profits in order to buy into faron, still have jpr. Vgla
Great to hear. I'm back in and looking forward to the progress. Great price for a calculated risk
Thought you were hanging on for 15 p Investors55, any particular reason for your early dart?. The Viking will be taking his time with all this I dont really expect much happening till December time once he has had time to study the figures and adjust his debt plan accordingly.
My sell is showing as buy! Naughty Naughty folks
So what's your interest in jpr..

I’m 31 lol
Lol. I was thinking I was still 25 in fact 35 (82) how old are you then?
Your right with the 87 as my birth year. But that makes me 31
Because of the 87 number. Year of birth. Just curious..
Thy maybe forced to if mt viking takes up 30%
