Evidently it happened months ago. However, as we all know, people now lose jobs, careers, families and more when a comment or a single sentence can be dragged out of the internet or your phone text messages from 20 years ago. No one is safe and fear is restricting freedoms.
Looking at the share price it appears the meeting in the back of a mercedes has cost around £15m!
More manipulation of equities for their 'friends' to profit by.... by you know who .!
Good news = blackrock have bought 5% , bad news discussions in car parks in July, no idea on sp reaction today.
Great rise today . CMA have proven they are barking mad -interesting to see how this plays out as we are still considering our position.
Why the delay to mtg ref split - any ideas? corporate activity that trumps it perhaps??
Gone long
5 for 1 share split = great news - last time they did this there was an immediate lift in the sp , so expecting more of the same!
And a tiny bit more...
Woohooo, get in
It has put on £1 in value- so that is one prediction I got right out of about a dozen!
Wow, Interims way above analysts expectations and guidance for full year upped by almost 40%. Looking fo another £1 on sp today. well done all at JD.
Sp has held up well in the last few days. Next Tuesday's update and importantly forward view will be the catalyst for the next move , whatever the direction.
We'll see what the US thinks of the CMA news soon.
My daughters will only be interested in JD at my wake..LOL
Ref the footlocker news....the market doesn't appear to see the CMA opinion as bad news......today at least. Obviously, reading the JD RNS ... JD are still all for the T/O despite the mention of increasing DTC by Nike, etc. The consumer will decide via the price and website they can buy the shoes at cheapest...don't you think?
BTW, the company's future sp and the history of share splits is and was the attraction for me. If COVID hadn't happened then the sp could have been 20% higher.....maybe, LOL. C'est la vie
And talking of daughters ,Not happy about the footasylum fiasco - imv the acquisition was only done to bail out the founders children and save them from going bust and it has turned into an epensive distraction as well as an expensive acquisition. Further in our submission to cma we say the market is tought because adiddas and nike want to increase direct sales - that is bad for our sp.
Yam, not going to sell as the shares are in certificated form and it is a real pain and that has worked to my advantage.Have held them since flotation and taking account of the share splits along the way , original investment now up about 70 fold! Think they will eventually be inherited by my daughters , depending on their behaviour lol.
Taver... hope you're not thinking of selling now that it's reached your target? Only going to get better....as long as there's no further lockdowns.
Where next- drifting higher it seems.
Price now above my £10.25 target - where next?
Johnny , footlocker now up over 8%, hopefully we will get at least 5% , fingers crossed.
£10 has arrived sooner than I thought but obviously the Footlocker results has raised all boats.
Footlocker just released stunning results for their second quarter including lfl increase of 7.3%. Obvious read across here - now expecting north of £10.25 for ourselves in near ter.
Yes that magic figure of £10 is getting very close indeed.
Maybe next week.
Around 7% rise so far this month , as hoped for - we might get close to £10 , with luck!
At least 3 factors should push up the sp hereimv and they are; Olympics and euros will boost the sector, strong pound reduces purchase costs, Nike sales demonstrate growth. We shall see but I am expecting north of 950 on/before next news release.
