The only way to convince is with FACTS and DELIVERY.
Enough PR and cheap talk RNS.
About trust...let my stake go up to 4p and i will think about it.
Ashton. Thanks for stating some of the key questions and permutations for the future..
Massive potential here for the future but the management team has to work harder to convince the shareholders and the market that they can be trusted and can turn things around.
The burn rate of cash even with lower salaries is a major factor and concern.
The SP should rise significantly with good news , this is obviously the case but a risk of stagnation with the past track record.
Fingers crossed
Ashton...i agree with all your questions.
The issue is that...we dont know what is going on.
The sad issue is that BOD doesnt give any positive signs. I dont doom the miningbareas, I criticize the BOD. I believe in the licensed areas...i am negative to these BOD. And i am a kind of person that does not like sneaky management. I prefer honest and competent and hard working BOD. This is not the case and multiple episodes of abuse and insider acts are well known. Its sad.
I would concur with Aston, the JV terms will be revised. On what basis we need to wait and see and likely will be before any agreement on spending for 2025 and may be guided by the work being completed over the summer at Disko.
Thank you for your reply; courteous as ever.
ES's reply to me was only about 4 lines but he did say K were " relieved" to have the current team back.
Interesting choice of word; one can only assume there was, as you have said , a bust up.
CC - You say: "BBs are about opinions not facts; the facts are all there to see."
I am sorry, but I will have to disagree. BBs should be about both facts and opinions. Also, not everyone is well-researched to know the facts so it is worth stating the facts. But never express opinions dressed up like facts.
Turning to your question about KoBold, I am of course disappointed that they won't be drilling this year. But why? Did KoBold's relationship with JAY's previous management break down? Was this a contributory factor in not drilling this year? Maybe it was because I thought these statements in the RNS on 29 April 2024 hinted at something was amiss with the relationship:
"Prior to the December 2023 board restructuring, JV discussions were focussed around KoBold's early reversion of the joint venture, rather than 2024 field activities. Consequently, the lead-time necessary to secure specialized drilling equipment far exceeded what would have been possible in 2024." - Was this an oblique criticism of JAY's previous management?
"We are thrilled to have Eric back at the Bluejay helm; he's a great technical operator, and with his leadership, we look forward to unlocking the full potential of our partnership." - Was Kurt House hinting here that the relationship with JAY's previous management was not that thrilling or great?
As for the future, JAY has given an undertaking in the RNS that Nikkeli anticipates initiating planning for 2025 activities in late 2024 and is committed to advancing the Disko project. We await details of the plan. I am also expecting a revised JV to be announced, possibly around the same time.
Ashton, glad you're back posting, knew you wouldn't be able to stay away for long :-)
No one has said that their speculation and prophecy about JAY being a poor investment (that may expire worthless) is fact. Of course, they are opinion, what a ridiculous thing to claim that posters opinions have been posted as being fact. No one can predict the future. What has been posted is the FACTS about Jay's numerous past failures, it's dire performance, the failure of several companies associated (past and present) with certain BOD members and the very questionable antics of the present BOD. These are FACTS – I note that you have not denied or challenged any of those FACTS,(even when asked to do so), bizarrely you simply ignore them. How remiss of any investor to have knowledge of a company's past and the unreliability of its BOD and to not take that into consideration when making an investment, in any company. Do you make a habit of ignoring past performance of a company and its BOD before investing? Would you consider that to be a successful investing method and therefore recommend that approach to other investors?
There is little need to repeat those facts but it is those very facts that has shaped a lot of people's opinion about JAY. You are hoping (this is no more than a hope share as you say) that you will get some good news in 2024-25. Has the last 6 years not been full of good news? You have trumpeted every last little occurrence as being good news – yet here we are 97% down. What about the previous good news; the Ilmenite concentration, the Gov.t support, every licence that Jay has acquired, the 42k shipment, the 9ton boulder, the Kobold connection etc etc etc. All have been of no benefit to the shareholder, is the BOD useless or is it useless? This is no more than a gamble – you are gambling on how the BOD drive shareholder value going forward – on their past performances that doesn't look good odds to me, it's an outside bet at best.
Good luck with recovering the 97% value of the investment that you've already lost. Jay's price will have to rise by 33 X for that to happen – with added dilution to fund ongoing costs and no money coming in from any other source I can't see that happening. Of course, that's my opinion and not fact.
Apologies forgot to mention.
I did email ES about Disko, after you provided his email address- thank you.
He didn't give much away, but that's what I expected..
However, his tone was very courteous and professional; perhaps he does want to get small investors on his side.
I think this is the first time I've disagreed with you.
BBs are about opinions not facts; the facts are all there to see.
For example Rach repeatedly mentions the 97% share price fall; well any numpty can see that.
Notwithstanding the Altruists pejorative and vile language they do have a point about Kobold, and if I may so have been more right than the JAY believers
Even a big supporter like myself thinks they've done JAY a kipper. Apart from some flowery language what is there to say they are totally committed to Disko ?
Your OPINION would be appreciated.
Strip out the language what have K promised ?
Good question.
17. Will KoBold and JAY agree to revise the terms of the current JV?
18. If so, what will be the terms of the revised JV?
Ashton. Much more briefly. Question 14.
How will a virtually worthless company with shredded reputation raise money to drill at Disko next year even if that actually happens?
Cheshire - What prompted me to post this note is what you have said recently: “Hopefully this won’t drag out for a decade! Waiting for some good news soon!”
Yes, I hope we don’t have to wait a decade and will have some good news in the near term (2024/2025). Anyone who has researched JAY properly will know that it is a HIGHLY SPECULATIVE HOPE SHARE. There have been relentless prophecies here that JAY’s future is doomed. Such opinions are just that and not the facts. The same applies to bull opinions, they are just that and not the facts. The factual position is we do not know the answers to too many of the questions in front of us to determine - with a good degree of confidence - whether JAY is doomed or will prosper. So, what are the questions and let’s take a look at them:
1. Will KoBold unearth a mega find at Disko?
2. If a mega find is unearthed, how might the share price react to the news?
3. If a mega find is unearthed, will a mining major become a partner soon after?
4. If a mining major becomes a partner how might the share price react to the news?
5. Will Nikkeli be listed on the stock exchange if a mega find is unearthed at Disko?
6. Will JAY succeed in selling any of its assets?
7. If so, how much cash will the sales bring in?
8. How might the share price react to the asset sales news?
9. Will there still be a commercially viable route for the Dundas project?
10. Will the new Thule copper asset turn out to be a commercially viable project?
11. Will the mining major who has already expressed a specific interest in the Thule project become a partner?
12. If the mining major becomes a partner how might the share price react to the news?
13. Will Kangerluarsuk and Hammaslahti turn out to be commercially viable projects?
14. How will JAY fund itself over the next two years for housekeeping expenses and costs associated with progressing the Disko, Kangerluarsuk, Hammaslahti and Thule projects?
15. Will there be a takeover offer for JAY?
16. Will JAY go bankrupt?
Until we have the answers to these questions, anyone who shouts that JAY is doomed or will prosper is simply expressing opinions and they are not facts. The fact of the matter is JAY's future will unravel when we have the answers to the questions I have listed. In the meantime, we will hear lots of opinions, both bear and bull. That's fine, but they are not facts. Until we have answers to the questions I have listed, JAY is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE HOPE SHARE. I suspect any neutral observer who has researched JAY well will know all this stuff already but I thought of listing the questions anyway.
My good wishes for your investment.
RachT. One Wallow does not a summer make!
Gordon B I don't see anyone wallowing in anyone else's losses, I only see knowledgeable posters posting factual material. Your bitterness makes me think that maybe you have lost on Jay? Since your post on Ken Mich I've looked him up he has been warning investors about the bs from JAY for years, shame you choose not to listen to him and instead preferred the bs from the BOD and rampers. Ken also posts on Stockopedia too – he seems a successful and very knowledgeable poster. Hopefully the bearish posts appearing now will make investors more wary of believing Jay's bs and may prevent others making the same mistake that you seem to have made. Good luck with your investing.
How boring sad little men wallowing in people's losses.
AI mineral resource unicorn (cofounded by Bill Gates, Gandhi and Taylor Swift) is proud to launch their latest product, (S)truth locator. According to CEO Kurt House, “ we noticed that in the mining sector there is an awful lot of truth to be mined but it can be very difficult to locate as it’s is often buried beneath years and years of contradictory information, interviews and bull***t RNS. We think using our brilliant AI (did I mention AI?) algorithms we think we will be able to find enormous nuggets of truth and beyond that whole district scale veins of veracity. This will revolutionize mining. We have trained our models in probably the most challenging inaccessible datasets for truth, that of the Bluejay mining company. There we found a nine tonne boulder of facts hidden among a decade of corporate nonesense and shenanigans. We believe if we can locate truth here we can pretty much find it anywhere.”
Rach. Blimey that’s a hole string of continuous failures. But thanks for the info and the reality check.
If we do ever get a positive set of drill results I’m sure there will be a large interest but still miles off any commitment from a major. Hopefully this won’t drag out for a decade!!!! Waiting for some good news soon!!!
Two fields of winter Wheat are looking promising and we’ve managed to drill 80 acres of spring barley , thanks for your good wishes.
Cheshire – as you have stated you, and pretty much most others, are looking to Dundas and Disko as being the saviours for Jay.
Dundas we were told around 6 years ago was a great source of high grade Ilmenite that could be scooped off the beach. Some was scooped off the beach and 42k tonnes of it were shipped to the Rio Tinto plant in Canada nearly 5 years ago. What has become of that? It looks like it was so good no further interest has been shown. Surely if it was as good as we were all led to believe Jay would have had no problems securing funds to construct the required infrastructure to mine and ship the stuff. They've got the required licences and jumped through all the hoops. Why hasn't such a plant been built? Then most of the existing BOD made the chump decision to use the wrong drill (LOL) and trashed the idea of Dundas being profitable all together. Well now its back on again but are they going to focus on building the required plant and processing the sands to make some money? No, they are going to explore the shelf underneath all of the sands. Sorry, but that and the fact that no commercial partner appeared after the initial 42k tonnes was processed and that Rio subsequently pulled out of another joint venture with Jay makes me highly suspicious of the worth of Dundas. Rio know what they are doing and have seen the product and worked with the company.
Disko. Now Disko could be a huge source of valuable minerals – but what are the chances of JAY prospering from it? AA has plenty of its own ground to concentrate on and may have far superior deposits than Jay. The drilling in 2025 will reveal more – if it happens and Kobold don't get sidetracked yet again. If Kobold really do think there is such a fantastic supply there why are they delaying? Why are they more than happy to loose the majority shareholding? Just to save $11.6m? It just doesn't ring true. Jay will need to raise more money to see it thought to 2025 and that doesn't include the extra money it now needs to find to pay for its share of the 2025 drill – more dilution beckons. What news between now and 2025 will cause Jay's share price to rise? Eric's chat was useless, news of re-instating Dundas didn't do it nor did the news that drilling was to go ahead in 2025. John Meyer's little piece was ineffective too and the BOD's greed at giving themselves millions of options at such low prices didn't help matters either. I see this flat lining or dropping between now and the drill results, which will be when? 2026? If you can foresee anything else suddenly appearing that may cause the price to rise I'd like to know what you think it may be.
Good luck with your investment – hopefully it'll be better than the winter barley crop for you.
Oh to carry on with my rant the so called experts part of the Fleet Street media who recommend share tips seem to think once they’ve passed graduation bought a cheap pinstripe suit from Savile Row (if these exist) can predict anything! I remember a prediction of a doubling of a target price of one the high street retailers, next day there was a profit warning and nearly halved the company’s value. I won’t mention the tabloid in case of a liable case been brought against me!!!!
I have been caught out with Northern Rock (lost nearly 30k) Cable and Wireless , Colt telecom and many others, despite all the research in the world I’ve finally learned it’s really a complete lottery.
Jay is at a such a low value with a massive potential, I’m holding on and see if it all pans out, maybe I haven’t learned anything!!!!! can’t plane any one else 🫣😄
Rant over and apologise.
Have a great weekend
Ashton. Thanks for your valued technical insight and information.
It’s taken me a long time (to long) that the humble small investor trying to make a bob or two in there limited spare time ( me an arable/beef farmer) that even at the level of Blue Chip futsie100 successful fabulous companies, that there’s so much insider dealing going on from broker’s financial advisors there own company directors how has the average punter got any chance!, i know this is part of how it is and goes with the territory ( no pun intended)
So how on earth has a small mining company listed on the AIM got of a high percentage chance of success! It certainly makes me think. But I do have a high belief that with good management decisions in the future Jay should have a good future.
Hope to hear from you soon Ashton.
Kobold is in sidelines...they dont need to spend a dime...$$$ coming from Africa...they are placing yhemselves as a royalties company...just collecting possible benefits.
Ashton - some nice quotes from Kurt – but here's some facts to put them in context and to aid whether or not they have any credibility at all.
24/3/22 announcing that drilling would commence at Disko in June'22 – Kurt said, 'We're proud to partner with Bluejay to begin exploring Disko-Nuursuag this year. Fully electrifying the global economy is our generations' greatest challenge; to accomplish this lofty goal we must accelerate our efforts to find the key elements for EV revolution'. On the same day JAY announced a fund raise – how convenient was that? Get some news out and tap the shareholders again. But alas, despite Kurt's quotes, within 3 weeks (11/4/22) the plans for drilling in '22 had been scrapped and delayed for another year. Would Jay have raised that money if they had stated the drill had been planned for '23? Doubt it. Who decided not to drill as announced? My guess is Kobold as they were distracted elsewhere – sounds familiar? Kurt, you mislead us.
What happened to the 'we must accelerate our efforts' Kurt? Kurt and his team have recently decided not to hold up their end of the deal and will now not be spending the $11.6m that they agreed to spend on drilling. Needless to say further drilling is now delayed for yet another year – 2025. That is, if they don't change their mind yet again.
Kurt's statements and actions are definitely not a reliable indicator on which to pin one's hopes on - as his previous comments have shown.
We are in the turnaround...high or low...who knows?
Nobody knows a thing...
Cheshire - Although for the time being I have decided to take a rest from posting, your comments about JAY being a speculative stock have prompted me to post this note.
When there was no fieldwork at Disko in 2023 and 2024, there was consternation about whether KoBold would walk out of the JV. We now know that this is not the case. In fact, in the RNS on 29 April 2024, Kurt House, KoBold CEO, confirmed that KoBold finds the "foundational prospectivity of Disko compelling" and his company intends to "unlock Disko's full potential". Moreover, from 21 March 2024, Nikkeli has increased its Disko licence area by 112 km2, bringing the total licence area to 3,015 km2.
The big question is will KoBold uncover a mega find at Disko? That is the speculation. The tenement is regarded as a Ni-Cu-Co-PGE asset and It seems the big picture for Ni and Cu bodes well. Watch this recent video interview by BHP CEO (ref to copper and nickel from 3:30) - https://youtu.be/cQcZ1_fEg6U?t=1
I will now go back to resting and wish for good fortune with your investment in JAY.
Investing genius - exactly what facts make you think we're now primed for a turnaround? I'm not aware of any new news or indeed any reasons for optmism, do please enlighten us.
