Sharkz......... "It must really eat away at him knowing that ITV has made me a load of money haha"
Well done mate, I hope that ITV makes you a fortune. While I'm currently underwater at the moment in ITV I'm pretty confident that I won't make a loss. ITV are cheap as chips, so long-term ITV will do just fine with far more upside than downside to the share price. My largest holding is BT, I expect to double or treble my investment in BT over the next 5 years. I always invest where see value, it's worked for me for 36 plus years. I will leave fly by the seat of your pants investing to rookie Tom, who admits to not doing any research before purchasing a companies shares. Priceless, just priceless. The gift that just keeps on giving.
Shame that you never purchased any Shell Tom. You had never made a comment on the Shell discussion board until you woke up about this fact. It's shame that you're more bothered about my ITV paper losses than I am. Lol
See Nige was tracking Shell when it was at an all time low. He lacked the cajones to jump. He could have now been sat on a healthy profit with the money he put into ITV and about to witness the biggest quarterly revenue ever by a UK company.
Sharkz, I do think that he lost money in something to do with Carolyn McCall. Because he holds a grudge against her that's eating away at him. For him to wish covid on Dame McCall he's lost a lot. It cost him his marriage and family inheritance according to another poster who claims to personally know him. I advised him over two years ago to go see his GP and get the help that he clearly needs. Needless to say he didn't take my well intentioned advice.
The boards spammer has a real selective memory. Happy to pin me to Shell when it was down. Now he claims I never championed it.
Nigeco 28th October 2020
"Tom must feel like he's jumped out of the frying pan into a raging fire. Lol. He sold out at ITV at 80p to purchase Shell at £9.30 with his 50k of borrowed bounce back loan. Today's share price ITV 71p, Shell 896p. Never mind Tom you can look forward to your share price prediction of £16 for Shell by Christmas? You did mean Christmas 2020? Good luck with that old boy."
Tom had never made any comments on any other discussion boards until I pulled him up for it, he claimed to hold shares in Shell, then M&S, when I pointed out that he had never made any comments in any other company other than ITV, a company that he doesn't own a bean in, he then made a few comments on Shell & M&S. Toms so transparent its unbelievable. I wouldn't trust a word this Troll says. I don't think that he owns any shares in any company. He's a fantasist, a big fat dreamer. As for his job? He always finds time to post a comment every day, within a few minutes if I dangle a carrot in front of him. So no he doesn't hold a top job, far from it. He's probably living off my taxes.
And spammers, mulithandlers and rampers have been posting about him here for years and years. All that time the big investment funds have been dropping ITV as they see no future gains here.
The anger handle is still relatively new. I was championing oil and gas back during covid lows and was laughed at here. Biggest earnings ever for a UK listed company to be announced this week. Oh and those dividends that kept coming despite covid.
I have no doubt that Naked Trader was trading ITV for many a year, but you missed the point Troll. The Naked Trader took a long term trade in March 2021 of £150,000 and added to his holding in November 2021, he now holds around £165,000.
NigeSharkz wrote March 2021:
"I used to keep an eye on Naked Trader (Robbie Burns) trades a few years ago, I noticed then that he used to trade ITV but only in small trades of around 5,000, 10,000. For him to now reveal that he has £150,000 speaks volumes. What does Robbie know?"
I can remember as long as 2017 there was repeat posts about the Naked Trader here. Most likely Nige or TomE. Both prolific rampers, spammers and multihandlers.
Tom.... "Nige has been repeating the nked trader here for 5 years"
I haven't been invested in ITV for 5 years. More untruths from our Troll who needs to move on.
Naked Trader only became a ITV shareholder in March 2021 fool.
Nige has been repeating the nked trader here for 5 years. Same old stories rehashed and now he just mixes up the handles to repeatedly spam the same misinformation.
This share was £2.50. It is now £1.10. That means more investors and more funds have ditched this share than bought in. Nigel and the various voices in his head that have now moved on to this forum can keep on trotting out the same old excuses but nothing can disguise the fact that his posts now smell like he has trodden in something bad.
This is a Value Trap.
"March 2021 & November 2021"
Sharkz..... "On a side note, Robbie Burns aka The Naked Trader - a well known highly successful investor has a very large holding of ITV. He sees plenty of potential upside and even cites that ITV could be a potential takeover target.
As you can see that when Tom starts to lose his argument and his lie are systematically debunked and ridiculed he gets desperate and resorts to lame insults and recently even created a petition about himself to deflect his lack of knowledge and investing acumen."
Yes, just to remind other board members Robbie Burns (Naked Trader) who back in March 2020 held £150,000 worth of ITV shares. In November he increased his holding further to around £165,000. Robbie is a very successful investor with a investment portfolio of £3 million. For any rookie investors, Tom may want to take notes, you won't go far wrong following expert The Naked Trader Robbie Burns.
Sharkz.... "Lol, you are the gift that keeps on giving. How DARE Nige use FACTS to prove your misinformation wrong. Haha. Nut job. The boards message is clear. Do your own research and make the right investment choices for you. Tom’s message is to deramp this share obsessively (he only posts here) and to spread misinformation and lies."
Tom, the gift that just keeps on giving. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story Tom.
Any potential investors need to just look at the 5 years performance of the share price £2.50 down to £1.10.
Nothing the Board have done. Nothing the CEO has done suggest that ITV has turned the corner. There are no interviews from ITV management acknowledging the abysmal share price performance and the need for them to turn the ship around.
This remains a value trap. Certainly not somewhere for long term investors. Ignore the deluded multihandler Anger/Nigel
Sorry 2019. I am still in accounts mode. I am entering expenses for this month whilst talking ~~~~ to internet loooosers.
Share price 13/12/2022 shows as £152.60? It then falls away to 54p. For a brief few minutes it maybe surged up on the day only to fall back. Yet again the weasel is using factually correct information to create a misleading impression that this dog can climb back out of this hole. This is the definition of a Value Trap. The average ITV investor, the majority of investors have lost money here.
Nige, the modern work place is very different to where you worked. I have not been permy in decades. I freelance. Self employed consultant. Sometimes I go in for 1 week on some projects. More often 3-6 months. Currently I am 5 months into what looks like 18 months. That doubles my revenue whilst keeping taxes low.
So yes I have worked at probably close to 100 different companies, across 22 countries, 4 continents. I am not your average ITV investor who sticks to what they know and is familiar to them. I take risks so I am the opposite to yourself.
‘Well informed, intelligent people. I can add very little there.’
Yes that made me chuckle. Is there anywhere that Tom hasn't worked? I think that we can add Macdonald's to the growing list.
Tom..... "This share has not been near £1.60 since 2018"
Tom should really do more homework. I guess that he missed the 165.90p on 13/12/2019? Thought so. Pipe down Troll, stick to the facts, I do.
3card if you go read the big Oil and Gas boards the chat is on a wholly different level. Well informed, intelligent people. I can add very little there. Just repeat what others are saying. The businesses are very well run.
My early formative years were at BP. I have many friends there. Same for Shell. Those guys tell me what I need to know. Things that I would not repeat in public forums.
ITV attracts a special kind of deluded nutjob. People who are a menace to other small investors. This share has not been near £1.60 since 2018 and yet the resident ramper/spammer/multihandler keeps on repeating the idea that ITV is about to surge up in value. There is nothing to back up the idea that ITV is set for a recovery. It has underperformed the FTSE average.
ITV is a terrible investment choice. Oil and Gas are a great choice and that is clear to everyone.
Each to his own Tom and, unlike many on here, I don't begrudge you posting wherever you choose to.
But I am just a little curious as to why 90% of your portfolio is in O & G, yet 90% of your chat is in ITV in which you apparently have no investment
Blighted? I just do not buy into your conspiracy theories to explain the poor performance here. I dispute your wildly optimistic predictions for how this share will trade going forward. I call you out when you intentionally plant false takeover stories here. The ramping spamming and blatant lies that you bring to this board are not a blight?
03/03/2022. Lots will happen before then. The tanks will roll. All intelligence points to an invasion. Blood stocks and medical supplies are being moved by Russian authorities to the Ukraine border. UK stocks will take a battering and there will be a possible loss of nerve by the Dame.
ITV are losing audience. Try to disguise it with sales and revenue figures but the stark truth is the British public are no longer tied to a handful of media outlets. ITV faces years of falling share price unless they change direction fast.
Please nobody buy into the down right lies of the holders here. Go on the evidence of the share price. The patient holders here have been losing their life savings for the last 5 years in this share. Short it. Buy it on the real dips. Otherwise this is a long term value trap. Go elsewhere for a sensible pension income. This share is like rolling dice in a casino. Only an idiot claims they can win.
Sharkz, yes he's blighted this ITV discussion board for years. Sad sack that he is.
Yes full year results around the corner (3/3/22) that are expected to be very good, I think that we will get some buying leading up to them. I also think that the BOD will live up to what they stated regarding the expected 3.30p dividend. I see no reason why they won't reinstate the dividend. ITV are in a far healthier position coming out of the pandemic than we were before it. Management did the right thing and preserved cash, cut debt, I see plenty of value in ITV who trade on a very low P/E, should be trading a lot higher, around 160p - 170p IMO. The patient ITV investor will be handsomely rewarded.
Sharkz, I think that Tom thinks that he's on a dating site 6'9.’ PMSL.
Jed the simple truth is the loooser clique here are jealous of my alpha male status. I am 6'9.
These weak personal attacks and criticisms of a few of my trades barely mask their anger and jealousy. Nige wishes he could have sold up in ITV at Covid lows and bought in at Shell at £9.30 (soon to be £30). As for Anger he just wishes he could be me but he will never even get close to Alpha male status. Cubicle in a call centre is his life.
