It seems DOB has sold his stake as well. Goodbye, Australia.
Up up and away....... needs to get new heights today. GLA
I'm only 5 bagging here, some of yee must be 9 bagging?
Everyone knows why DOB will hold INM - the same reason why O'Reilly did. Dont be worrying about profits it really does not matter to him. He knows like the radio business it wont make profits for him.
DOB has failed to make money on Irish radio so far, no reason to expect INM to do any better. Market is just too small and too crowded.
240,000 share traded todat Alot!!! Roll on 30c
Now that the debt is gone inm will be able to make acquisitions again. I wonder will they look to radio as apn have. Radio is what has driven their growth and its a big interest of Dob's. Competition might be a problem though.
this will move up,debt free is the way to be now, future is bright. .been along road , but i can sit back on this one now
Over 13m shares traded in Dublin so far this morning. Majority showing as sales
how much of the holding DOB intends to acquire? At least it's arms length, sort of, not like the last transaction. It's only good news if you think the Irish market is a better bet than the Australian.
Debt yesterday was €90 million. That leaves 30million less tax in the kitty. Interest repayments were 6mil in 2014 so 40mil should be the net profit 2015 after this. A lot of charges against the apn holding in the accounts in 2014 as well. Interesting.
Well that explains all the buying a couple of weeks ago. €121mil is (was) half the market cap of inm. There should be a few million left after all the debt is cleared. Dividend a real possibility now. There going to have profits of €40mil plus with limited spending opportunities. Anyone do the exact figures yet.
This company has been strangled with debt.DO'B has brought it back from the ashes. He can now focus on building his digital media business which he is at the forefront in Ireland and he has only begun to dip his toes into. This is the future now.
Trophy asset gone.......good move indo.
Great news:)))
Wow!! What will that do to sp......0% debt??
Happy to see the price finally make a move up. Results seem to have been well enough received. I haven't the time just now to go through the report but over the weekend hopefully I will. At a glance the old problem still remains, print is in decline with cost cutting continuing to prop up profits. Nice rise in online revenue but still miles off replacing traditional streams. Debt reduced but still on the high end. I'm a bit disappointed with the revenue from traditional advertising. Judging by what I see in the papers with the supplements I expected that to be better. If volume is up pricing must be lower. I suppose that's the problem with falling sales, you have to charge less for ads as eyeballs decrease. Still at least things have stabilised so might get out with a bit (a very small bit) of dignity yet
:)
Should see a nice rise over the next few weeks Very good results
Result time, should be worth the wait, going on there bumper advertisements and lower debt repayments,
are due out on Friday for 2014. They should show some positive side with increased revenues. APN have been doing well also. I can see a jump to 20 here on Friday. It is already up nearly 50% in a month. Its one to watch again imo.
There would have been a cut off date for the rights issue but not really to exclude investors. More for opperational reasons. The rights issue was announced in september but the qualifying date was much later. Investors had time to buy if they wished before the 15th of December 2009 issue date. 59 for 50 I think. I foolishly participated at the time.
when INM did its rights issue back in 2009 where the Bondholders got 48% of the firm, INM shareholders were allowed to buy new issue shares as well, at 5p. However the company said it was for qualifying shareholders …what did that mean? was there some cut off date that you had to own the shares at , as in one or two months prior to the announcement ? the idea being to exclude very recent share holders benefiting ?
Tony o'Reilly has also reduced his stake to under 3% over the last couple of months, selling 19million shares on Feb 5th alone. So would seem like a large overhang on the share price is being removed
Big buys continuing in Dublin. I'm getting interested in this one again.
