Much appreciated ...though I have to say that Ban was and is usually one step ahead here !!
Ahhhh ! !
Sorry Si. How could I forget our Spreadsheet and numbers man in my list below.
Only being a fairly recent poster to the INFA page (although invested a while now), I want to say simply 'thanks' to all you folk here who regularly post helpful information here. This is greatly appreciated. A good example of informative and helpful posts is the one surrounding the 'Dock-Gate' drama (that never was, lol). Ban told us earlier it was simply 10 year maintenance and Dawski confirming this with his direct knowledge, and followed up with his detailed thoughts as to where we are as a company. Your knowledge and contribution here Dawski is invaluable.
Enough of my Daws worship, lol, and thanks to you all inc, Jab, Chris, Whata, Goup, Loose, Speedy, Pac, Spud, Lottie, Cookie, etc, your thoughts and knowledge are greatly appreciated. (Sorry if I've missed anyone, im just listing from names I remember in my head without trawling through pages). Hopefully I can contribute myself in future even if it is simply my positivity's or concerns.
You might ask what's the point of this post, but some of you take a lot of time to post back to us others, and I think it's important sometimes for us to step back and say a simple 'thanks'.
So. Thanks ! !
Thanks dawski37 Right on the money glad someone has their finger on the pulse.
Thanks for another great post Dawski. Always good to hear from you. Stay safe.
....And there's more !! The Dock Gates for the smaller dock are simply undergoing a 10 yearly maintenance schedule in order that they will be fully operative for when larger vessels need to berth in the Building Dock later on in the year allowing full use of this dock at that time ..no more nor less . Nothing to worry about ..and neither are :
1. PRD and plans for a FSRU in South West Ireland --hardly advanced like as with Barrow which has basic Planning and Sub Seas Surveys sorted and viable connections to the UK market easily achieved by existing pipelines. PRD would supply a much smaller client base in S.Ireland .Not competing with us at all.
2.Reversal of flow of SNIP..this is for the future and is commercially feasible with our colleagues,Mutual, and if required we have the contacts to implement the required installation of new compressors which is essentially the main component .Dualling of SNIP is another matter and not for today !
3. ML... Still not a given by any means but the fundamentals for our prime project remain the same of course post Covid and the pandemic has seriously delayed a final decision with all Government departments under strain.
4.FID ..this follows on but we have prime AI Blue Chip partners still waiting !!
5.....and ..H&W --at last getting their act together,I am told, with a new management team bedded down working well with a long standing and loyal residual workforce.New Web Site shows up what has been and further can be achieved ...lots of contacts being made and the potential is (not without risks ) ...huge ! Stay invested !!
Great comments from JW regarding Predator oil &Gas....PRICELESS!
Well that's good news, Tabloids- they should be embarrassed by what they print.
I have personally checked the position with the Company and there is nothing wrong nor any problems with the smaller Dock gates as inferred in the NI Ferries article about Stena Europe’s visit this week .. will report further later but be assured on this !! Stay calm and invested !!
Ban, you are a legend and a provider of clarity and calmness. Thank you
Stena Nordic’s, is waiting at Fishguard ready to replace, Stena Europe, I’d imagine she’ll be in dock this afternoon
There is no issue with the gates. H&W are doing the 10 year survey. This was always planned after they recommissioned the main dock.
Also, JW has responded to Predator Oil and Gas https://www.linkedin.com/posts/activity-6678567651456901120-u-CF
Please can we all calm down....
If I'm reading the ship finder correctly it left Rosslare first thing this morning on the way to Fishguard.
On the way out the door so not got time to look to see where it's replacement is.
Sure they have it all in hand.
The H&W side of the buisness is the only part of infa that is working out better than expected, imo.
Laters, have a good day all.
Lets hope so, and the Stena Europe should be in this week, probably clearing the decks at Fishguard before the steam up...
I noticed the gate problem in the link Speedy posted late Saturday night. Maybe it's just a routine maintenace thing and not a big issue. At least they have a spare dock and we seem to be only doing one ship at a time at the mo.
And lucky old us, we have two FID's to wait for now.
Oh, the fun never starts. ;)
A bit concerning there has been no communication regarding the gates, surely it must be price sensitive if you can't get ships in, is this why Harwood bailed??? without clarity the market will make it's own mind up and generally not to the PI's benefit.. AIMHO
whatamess- and as yet, their lies the issue- and why we are treading water.
FID is a double edged sword- you go up 10% announcing a project, when there is a delay it goes down 30%- I'm not excited until it's in the bag :-)
If you're refering to the FSRU, I hope it does.
Can't tell you how excited I am to be able to wait for yet another FID. :)
That's very true ,confident this project will go ahead so shouldnt be concerned tbh Si_Dermain, ill keep adding here ,decent portfolio of projects in infra with potential to expand
Doesn't matter where they are based, tbh. Including Infa.
No one's supplying the mainland without the ability to reverse the pipelines to allow bi-directional flow from Ireland.
Only one way only, ATM.
They are based in southern Ireland aswell ,imho i think it would cost more to supply England and other areas imho based in cork I think
