ivans In relation to your 11.02 post that is a very good question but can I have an easier question like Is there a god?
is it coming soon?
Thanks Tango1 and Stokey12 - it's always good to hear your thoughts on developments.
LSE01 In relation to your 07.05 post an analyst from Janes Defence Weekly is likely to be listened to carefully. Hopefully his comments will not have to much of a negative effect.
I don't think the PM stated April there will be thousands of new ship builders, but it would generate thousands of Jobs.
They want a lot of ships building some of which have designs approved so could generate recruitment for companies like INFA before April which will start the ball rolling. AIMHO
Because he was challenging credibility of PM defence announcements across the board Justin Webb finished the interview saying we must invite you back, you and PM back on same day in about a year's time. Defence analyst accepted.
Hopefully yes Tango1. He was saying that on Tuesday the Defense Secretary said the the work on Type 32 frigates would not start for 5 years. He said that for the solid support ships "they haven't actually launched a programme, they've got to select the winner, they've got to approve the design and then start building the ship so again by next April it's a struggle to say there will be thousands of people building ships"
LSE03, sounds a flawed interview then as we know Belfast and Appledore are not "TOO BUSY", looks like we will get all the contracts then :-).
Janes Defence, sorry
Interview just before 7am, Tim Ripling? James Defense talking specifically about shipbuilding timescales and how shipyards are too busy. Belfast not mentioned. Challenging practicalities of PM's job creation claims / realistic timescales
Gresham House Fund Managers who took a stake on the recent placing, have raised a substantial sum to invest in new energy storage projects.
Maybe to part finance IM

Yes, the next note would almost certainly follow the release of the annual report. Given that the majority of action through the yard has happened after the balance sheet date, it will be interesting to see the annual report. Probably will be more to take home from the Chairman's and Directors reports than from the Financial Statements. 2 months in a row of cash breakeven for Cruise & Ferry.
Loosegoose In relation to your 12.54 post thanks for the heads up about the note. I would expect the next note after the annual accounts are published.
EXPECT news on projects soon
Anyone have a chance to read the new Cenkos research paper that was published this morning?
It can be downloaded for free after registering with research tree via the Cenkos website.
Stokey,Boris has mentioned he wants to see shipbuilding back asap,we may get contract news before next year I think
stokey12- agreed- My point was that the urgency for action was evident in the review and believe Ben Wallace and other ministers will already be dotting the I's and crossing the T's. IMO
Tango,I am of the same opinion let's see what happens next few weeks, good long term investment here imho
Tango1 In relation to your 08.19 post any contracts in the next few weeks will not be as a result of yesterday's spending review. This is because the spending review related to the 2021/2022 Financial Year that starts in April 2021. What we might see are Direct Contract Awards for items that would be needed for next year that had not already been ordered.
Given Sunak's review yesterday I believe the funding to kickstart the economy is going to start very soon, I personally expect contracts in the next couple of weeks so INFA can start employing in numbers. AIMHO
Ozzy, plans for a gas power station at Heysham across from barrow were the gas terminal will be for infra and shipping from Belfast, just my thoughts though maybe a link there let's see.

Britain will need back-up for the 40 gigawatts of offshore wind it’s planning to construct by 2030. That will come from nuclear plants, power stations that burn hydrogen, or natural gas with carbon capture AND STORAGE, according to the National Infrastructure Plan published by the U.K. government Wednesday
The table on page 71 of the full spending review shows that in 2021 the core MOD Capital Departmental Expenditure Limit is £10.4bn. I wonder if INFA can manage to get 1% of that.
I am sure INFA being an SME (less than 500 employees) will tap into the funding on offer.
The National Infrastructure Strategy document published today has some detail on levelling up initiatives
