Agreed Si. Barrow looks like it's now in the very distant tall grass. Much static hype for the best part of 2 years till January's annual report. I think JW felt it was a necessary distraction when facing the ML headwinds, and to act as filler material in the strategic updates and RNS footnotes. I'd be so much happier if INFA prove themselves to make just one project successful and profitable, rather than over promising and trying to impress with a costly plate spinning act, without end.
Tango. I like that you are catching my recent drift :}
By the way you are so wrong about my car........not MG, it's Austin Minor!
Erm, again, did I miss where Infa took ownership of anything in Barrow.
Signed a term sheet, way back in May last year but didn't think they ever got to the executing the SPA.
No payments were made or even due until after FID. AFAIA.
Last that was heard on the subject was in the Annual Report In January.
"The Company continues to negotiate the required agreements with potential partners ...
... it is important that we do not commit funding to this project until a clear route forward is mapped out.
In light of the changing energy infrastructure environment, we will continue to pursue the FSRU project but only in partnership with existing infrastructure, should we be able to close a commercial deal with partners who own such infrastructure in Barrow. As a greenfield standalone project, the project does not lend itself to robust economics any longer. Discussions are currently underway and we hope to make further announcements about the FSRU project through the course of the year."
Thanks, Bubbles.. and all noted ..Barrow should not be a forgotten gem indeed !!
Its an amazing opportunity at this level Fair play.
Added today Tango,only 5k
Dawski,Barrow is not forgotten there's a lot going on around they bay atm ,i see hundreds of wind turbines needing maintenance from Barrow ,infra own a huge part of land at the docks
Whatamess, JW going for a cash raise now would be like Oliver at the dinner table, Time to show the value before anymore is coming. IMHO
It just amazes me the Devon local rag gets more information than the shareholders regarding contracts etc, I just hope JW shouts them from the rooftops when landed and not give to cenko to put in a report like the contracts that never materialised..
Apologies for repetition today .. my first posting did not appear at first .. thought I had been banned for over recommending ... again !!!Genuine feelings though and with a little knowledge!!!
...............and so is H&W with possible new contracts from a new but highly respected and well known client on the cards .....not certain but highly likely.Commiserations to all those (like me) who took the plunge in those heady recent days at the Offer/Placement at 45p but bearing mind that ML is a decent bet ( otherwise Ursula and team will be just a tad upset at the loss of all the E.U. funding towards "connecting Europe!") Barrow is not forgotten or cancelled and we have Methil and The Hebrides to look forward to in 12-18 months time, maybe things should turn "blue" later and for the remainder of the week .
Hope so ,as this little AIM tiddler has a lot riding on it !! Watch this space .Sub 40p could be a snip??
Hi Folks ..remember those recent heady times when we all rushed into the 2021 offer and placing at 45p and look where were are now !! Oops.I was one too but.....
.......with Appledore looking good and H&W even better ( new orders from a famous operator expected !!), with ML odds better than even and also Barrow not cancelled and,oh yes, Methil and the Hebrides to look forward to in 12-18 months time .sub 40p looks a snip ....may be you will see blue for the remainder of the day ..hope so as this AIM tiddler has a lot riding on it !!
whatamess In relation to your 13.25 post you seem to forget the revenues coming in from the ship repair work in Belfast which does provide some revenue so there is that revenue. Also you have obviously forgotten of that concept of a deposit. If I recall at the November Roadshow the CFO did say that they would ask for an advance payment. I therefore do not believe that there would necessarily be any reason for a further cash raise.
Loosegoose. I have to agree with you AND whatamess. The news is very encouraging. It seems we are going in the right direction BUT until contracts are signed money continues to go out the door and SP must follow! More patience........
The article on Devonlive is probably the best bit of (official?) good news as we have heard in quite a while. Two barges coming in March, 7 quotations also pending, 1 dry docking secured for March and 9 fabrication contracts at final stages of negotiation ..... and the share price goes down! https://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/appledore-shipyard-is-being-transformed-5017950
Stokey.
Time to join some dots. In the article JW states, "Projects of interest currently include the replacement vessels for the Scillonian and the buoy laying vessel THV Patricia, as well as a number of border patrol vessels."
I note in the attached link, our partner in TEAM RESOLUTE, BMT will be designing the new Scillonian and "The Steamship Group has set up a Marine Asset Replacement Committee chaired by non-executive director Kevin George, who is current Group Chairman of Red Funnel Group." The same Red Funnel Group that was very recently posting favourably to JW on LInkedin. They are discussing a passenger AND a freight ship replacement.

A good point well made Stokey. I think whatamess is applying no longer subtle deramps to the board in order to achieve a lower sp in which he can buy back in at. That's the reason he has not as yet provided a credible response to your question. Looks like appledore is very shortly going to be clawing some of the money back. Exciting month of March ahead I think!
whatamess In relation to your 10.49 post with all due respect to you with the news in the Devonlive article plus the ongoing ship repair work at Belfast I can see no basis for your negativity. What information do you have that points to a need for a cash raise. I have previously posted my reasons for doubting your suggestion of an imminent cash raise and I am still waiting for you to provide a factual basis for your contiual suggestion that there will be a cash raise.
ciao whatamess essere ancora uno stronzo?
Just seen this https://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/appledore-shipyard-is-being-transformed-5017950 news out of Appledore is very positive. Hopefully we will get some official news soon on this.
Tango1 In relation to your 07.25 post I do not think that the support vessels contract would be covered in the budget as that would be a separate issue and would in my view need a separate statement to Parliament. Whether it could be done by a direct award I am not sure about as there are at least two possible tenders. That said BAB has possible capacity issues due to the other defence contract they have. I think that an announcement on the supply ships and the wider integrated review is likely after the 11 March. This would allow for the post budget debates.
The ML delay cannot in my view be just about whether the brine discharge as the company has addressed all objections in respect of the environmental concerns.Stalling for whatever reason flags up in my opinion on the delays .job creation.energy supply security and environmentally friendly .win win win so why the delay ...Something behind the scenes has held this back and likely the same reason the regasification vessel has been delayed...hopefully the March deadline for an update is an indicator that the behind the scene reason for delay is anticipated to be resolved.

I am hoping for the support vessels, I understand these contracts can be awarded without tendering.
