Keep at it....Sounds like your doing good...Don't get too greedy....With this I could have made £10k if I held my nerve...this morning...but took my gain and made £3k but I lost £2k on another gamble today so I haven't made a huge amount but its a profit and I could have lost up to £10k....so I'm happy...on Monday I bought £4k of the shares and sold for only £400 profit...I could have made £600 more if I held until the following day..so No I'm not perfect at investing..Like I said earlier I doubled my money in Herencia in 1 day...Great...I was overjoyed a few grand in a day....It 10 bagged in 5 days following.....Just be happy with any profit...
I have real shares in Isa account with HL. Spreadbetting just brings in a side income. I started with £1k and turned that into £3k in less than 3 months. I average about £250/£300 per week profit and draw it back to my bank. Tend to go for lower swings now that the bigger £pp bets. I always is a guaranteed stop loss, one day it will save a fortune
Spread betting is probably the highest risk you can get....before it was mainstream I would deal in warrants....I do gamble on shares that tank with sb but normally have a loss limit at never more than £10k.but most cases as low as £5k which as you know can happen in minutes with high pip bets..but its a bit of excitement and fun....
That's fine....apology accepted....You will find I show all my cards...I've made huge gains on some and huge losses on others...As I get older I get more cautious....But I tell my losses as well as my gains...I'm not one to make up crap...I once nearly lost over £6k in less than 30 mins on a gamble..and it made me more cautious
Midas, well I've done up to £300 pp with IG but that's the most they would allow and I had £7k in the account then. I didn't think they went up to £1000pp. I thought you were just taking the p1ss but If not then I apologise
Why the silly comments.......I'm nearly 50.....I've built my portfolio over 30 years. I've until recently gambled up to £20k a time on day trades but now prefer smaller amounts as I've been close to losing vast sums on a few occasions. My spread account holds close to £50k and my day trade account the same...But my SIPP money is held in trusts and funds for the most part....
Yeah Midas, and on my drive I currently have a Buggati veyron and La Ferrari. I tend to use the Rolls for everyday drives but prefer the G6 for longer hauls....
thanks mate, well lets see what happens. Im sure allot of people have brought more that 10k worth looking to scalp a profit. lets see what happens, fingers crossed :)
Luke - this stock is purely for the gamblers\short day traders. Heavy risk leaving your money in to the next day. Sometimes it's best to cut your losses in this game. Only invest what your willing to lose. Hope it rises for you tomorrow. I, like many others will be hoping to catch a wave but it's so risky! Good luck :)
Thanks for the reply, just seems like such a huge drop In SP for a business that is going to be not effect for the next two years? I
Hi, thanks for replying. maybe even a chance apple are trying to buy a bigger stake in the company ? if apple was to buy more of the business surely that would have a positive effect on the SP? do you think we could see 130 any time soon? or more likely down hill from hear. As I said im in for 10k @ 110 so my plan is just hold long term regardless but would be nice to see it move up rather than down again over the next few weeks haha. luke
I see it as the level of drop to be an overraction, but don't place any faith in rumours about Samsung. This has room for a short term recovery play, but you'd have to ask yourself some serious questions if you are thinking of staying in for the longer term.
I'd love to know this too. I've been watching since Mon (no action) and I keep swinging to both sides of the argument almost every hour. Used to own but sold a year ago at a small £4-500 gain after years of stress. The worrying thing to me is the 10% Apple owns. I wonder how much of a hold they have over IMG doing whatever they want now. Do Apple have them locked into some special contract for 2 years whereby they will not allow them to "easily" sell all the juicy bits? Otherwise, surely a deal will come for IMG over the next 2 years (hoping Samsung). Dazed & confused.
That 740k buy is the end of day 4.35 u t. It's not an actual trade
Hi guys, im in for £10,000 @ 110p do we think any chance of Samsung being interested in (IMG) tec? Also don't you guys think that the SP has over reacted considering they will still work with apple till 2018 regardless? just seems like a cheap company currently IMHO? would love peoples thoughts. thanks Luke
as i said yesterday, this is a great spread short but am not going to be greedy. I think somewhere around 80p is a target price although I can see the big players shorting this heavily. I think it will be gone within three years, sold off by the administrators .
I had the quote ready but didnt take the plunge. Will find out if ive missed a 10% rise tomorrow morning i guess!
So who took the punt and bought just before close? Could jump tomorrow morning - I considered but didn't.
At the moment I have £48k in spread account and have credit for £10k
Crofty299 I agree with you, not good time to be buying if this touches £1
Would be tempted to get in now but you just know that loads of people probably have stop losses set at £1. Dips below that and carnage likely.
Will this go below £1 at the closing Bell? I think just above at £1.01
