The city has decided this is worth 100p as it dropped to immediately - they are no more right than you or me until there is news - my suspicion is that this isn't the last we'll hear from Apple and their next move will be a bit more conciliatory as I truly think as much as their move was obviously considered, its a retaliation to IMG not playing ball with Apple's attempts to purchase IMG last year - casting their vast shadow. I think there's a large payment coming but it will take a while to arrive. Need to wait for more news - IMG aren't sunk they're doing very well on other fronts.
hmm i probably wouldn't of sold yet, i'm considering getting back in at this level. Seems very cheap and could bounce in my eyes.
Sold at 100 - lost £1,000 but gutted but just lost hope as thought we may have seen a rally :(
The only reason it's even holding above 100p is because of the Bed&Isa crew who are eager on day one. After the rather consistent drop yesterday I think this will be down to 90p or less by next week.
This is how it started yesterday and it just kept falling.
At this level it's a toss of a coin, wouldn't back it either way
No rise this morning :( So who's taking a punt at these levels?
That's the statement I'm banking on haha. I'm hoping for 121 and getting out £1,000 profit
Exactly...nobody can win all the time...Hope you score on this one
I bet on it losing today but from now on I wouldn't know which way I'd punt on this....The only thing I could see helping would be a there there statement from IMG......You know the type....we have this and this in the pipeline or we have come to an arrangement with Apple....otherwise IMO I think they were already heading south over the last three years and this was the final nail...
Thing is mate as you know in life you win and you lose. If your in your in ain't ya. Just gotta hope it works out now
I didn't want to say that but I would be too...Lol
Fingers crossed we get 150 tomorrow right ? Lol
Got to be honest, genuinely scared 😂
Good luck ....
I'm in for £10,000 @ 110.15p Poo Fingers crossed tomorrow is positive SP movement. Peace
I think there are too many perma bulls on these boards lol
I always show my cards and people don't always believe. Even when I'm day trading shares ---which are normally companies about to go under and are being ramped for no particular reason I will still give my real opinion. Take Fitbug...a pathetic company about to go bust....I bought I think about £5k worth and pretty much doubled in a day on rampers nonsense...yet all along I gave the statements of how bad the company was even though I had £5k worth of shares...everybody was saying " Oh your deramping and want the share to drop so you can buy in cheap " I was like no really this company is crap and they will tank very soon.....I sold at 100% profit during the day....they did go on to close to 300% gain that same day....but have since dropped over 90% as they are pretty much finished...but I might one day buy if the rampers get it going....and I will still tell them on the BB how crap it is....The rampers make me laugh with the.......This is about to blow.....quick get onboard its about to fly....LOL
Midas, I run a business and am office based so I'm near a screen most of the day. I've made £250ish average in 2017. It was nearer £400 but last 5 weeks I've not done much trading so it's brought average down. I think I could make a living out of it but wouldn't fancy the pressure yet. As my income comes from elsewhere it's just a bonus and I've no pressure to spreadbet when I don't want to.
So your actually making more than me on the sb....I've probably had larger bets but don't deal on a regular basis like you...do you think you could make a living from it ?
I mainly day trade and spread bet only on my days off and holidays from work...Only when I can be at the screen constant....otherwise I deal the normal buy and hold...though my pension etc is invested in managed funds...which I don't have to constantly watch as most of the time I cant be at the screen all the time,....so I can go weeks without spread betting....I've made as much as £8k in a day but also lost as much as £6k in a day.....These days I am more cautious and will be happy with smaller gains....Today was average...made a grand.....but then the next couple of days I could lose a couple of grand a day....Over 12 months my trades on spreads showed a profit of of £8k on 14 trades as I only use it in this type of situation,,,,when there is a chance of big swings in share price following a share tanking etc....I won on 5 out of 14 trades...I would like to trade sb more but don't always have the time
I just take profits on small amounts I'm winning on over 80 of my trades but that's because I'm careful and close for as little as £5 if I feel it's a bad trade. You know the ones where it's constantly underwater then dips in and out of tiny profit, I close them and move on. Do you do this for a living or you have other income ? How much do you make on average from spreadbetting per week ?
