Yes looking looks like a solid start to the week. There are a lot of ingredients making this an exciting share atm - director buying / big holders adding to their positions, positive broker coverage and the probability of a recovery in commodity prices. The chartists like it too. A positive update maybe the catalyst to get these shares going! Do we know an update is due from the co this week or is this speculation?
Great to see Aberforth increasing their stake. I find it slightly baffling as to why anyone would want to sell their shares at the moment with news due soon too. With director buying too this seems more like a buying or top up opportunity to me. Up slightly on the week, hopefully much more next week and beyond! GL
You said it was a buy from the get go and even called the RNS being due a few hours ago! It was the sharemag article last year that lead me here and the Numis 30p target price raised my eyebrows further. Here for the long term.
Good news on Aberforth increasing their holdings to 10%, I thought those sells yesterday had to be buys. Been in IFL for only a month but looking forward to an exciting week next week. GLA
Yes all quiet again today. Thought we would have more momentum from yesterday, but news (hopefully good) shortly. If the 26m yesterday was a single trade then there should be an RNS - this is more than 4% of the market cap.
Both look interesting chart wise. Both are leveraged plays on a recovering world economy and demand for dirty metals. Both are in Africa which seems flavour of the month for emerging market players.
No was offline this afternoon. Certainly something going on, and will be watching first thing in the morning!
to see life in this one. Just logged in and a nice surprise for a change. Hope for more tomorrow!
good thanks, hope you're well? still holding on to those mwa's. just over 50% down on them too now!!!!!!!
funny how that trade is on the same day citigroup make that announcement today. could this be the turning point for miners.
happy days, less than 50% down now!!!!!!!
Well someone knows something and we haven’t had the forth coming reports yet (at least we haven’t).
I think the price has been slowly rising from lows of 1.5 to 2.5ish but it is still well below the heady highs of $5/6 around 2008. What the exchange rate is offering is an even better uplift for the sales that's all....
Historically we've seen these move quickly bud, let's hope that's a good precedent!!
besides the chinese and their 29% only Aviva and Aberforth hold 27m shares - ironically about the same number as those transacted in the 2 large trades. also note $ v Rand nearly at 11 and a multi- year high; even with low ferrochrome price this exchange rate is some 50% higher tahn the last few years
Not sure mate,if it's a sell there's a buyer for the ones being sold either way? That's a huge volume.
If this weeks activity and rise on mwanas anything to go by,a clearing overhang from a big seller can only be a good thing?!!
I think the worst is behind them now and this has been reflected in the recent director purchases.
Roll on next Thursday we should see what they've been up to and maybe it will give us an indication of the half year results next month.
Could be but there seem to be quite a few chunky buys over the last few days although the SP is refusing to budge! Hopefully that will soon change!
£100K this morning...Director's buy?
Several decent buys going through at 10p this morning - don't think this will stay at these levels for too long!!
with that one Sage - Sold VOG 18 months ago I am patient , but not THAT patient!
Not really an evening person Sage - don't watch the markets when I can't do anything about it! Anyway, looks like we are very much as we were yesterday - tight spread 9.89-10 with a few small buyers mopping up stock. This is one for the patient I think - got a few of those!
Around 4~5 mths ago there was buy of 12 million shares at around these levels in one trade..with no effect on sp You still heavy into vog sage..another one for bottom draw
