LDB "My apologies I didn't mean to come over rudely"
You certainly didn't. Personally I never listen to David Ward.
If anything the reply from "Postbox" was questionable.
Daft Dave Ward, the wannabee Scargill, on around 150k a year telling people on 25pct of what he earns that everything will be ok, that in itself is quite simply grotesque, especially when he and the rest of the chumps at the CWU have been complicit in making the bid happen in the first place
Postbox - ‘Because it might actually give you a insight to what’s happening insteading of the rumours you might actually learn something from watching it’
Hahahaha!
You’ll learn f*ck all from watching fat head Dave and his band of idiots.
He’ll be spinning plenty of propaganda and bulls*it of that’s there’s no doubt…..you might as well stare at the wall you’d gain far more information.
It might be worth tuning in for the comedy value though…..watching him snorting and shuffling around uncomfortably for an hour. Lol.
I will also be voting against. A recommendation by the Board at that price suggests either their new strategy isn't up to much or they are not bothered about shareholder interests, only their own.
My apologies I didn't mean to come over rudely.

Kretinsky been given a new deadline of 29 th of may to give firm offer .
Who cares? CWU have played their part in the share price being this low and hence ids being taken over.

Disappointed I also thought nearer to £4. The business and the share doesn't owe me anything but I will vote against as I do feel its being undervalued slightly but like with most shares has risks. Which government would stop it going through the outgoing tories or incoming labour? It could all potentially be done and dusted before the GE. If it goes through so be it. As always we are just along for the ride and the big holders will make the decision.
From all.
Yes nothing set in stone, otherwise price would be up there to offer amount.
Yes he's a billionaire for a reason.
I'm going to hold for a bit longer. (Still at quite a loss).
“The parties agree that Royal Mail's name and brand should be protected, and Royal Mail should remain headquartered and tax resident in the United Kingdom.”
Great Royal Mail, the unprofitable part of IDS will remain in the uk for tax. So the rest of the company though will be listing in Ireland or some other tax haven. This board is full of crap.
Derisory at 320 ok at 360+. Spot on with the backhanders!!!!
If DK wants it that bad it should be over 400 and let's hope the other major funds agree. One said months ago they will not accept anything under 400
Dubs I’m not saying the government will block this but it is a possibility I know TMS doesn’t think it will happen and he may well be right but why do you think the share price is 317 when the board have recommended 370 because the market knows it’s not set in stone this will go through if I knew for definite this offer goes through I would put my house on it who wouldn’t buy at 317 and sell at 370
Carrington - Yes, the board will be putting forward that shareholders accept the bid....as has been mentioned perviously there will be some back handers with that recommendation there's no doubt.
I was personally hoping for something a bit closer to 400p and to squeeze every bit of juice out of this but if it was put to shareholders I think I would vote to accept for a nice profit.....
The deal certainly favours Mr Kretinsky but such is life......he's a billionaire for a reason.
Spot on TheMoneyShark
I've recently joined in at £3.16. There's no escaping from thisvery likely final bid of £3.70 with all the trimmings included.
According to Sky the Board are minded to accept the offer - TMS - what are your thoughts re accepting the offer are you yea or ney?

'Government block? Can they do that?'
Seem to be going round and round in circles on this point but it seems to getting lost for some reason....
The bid was approved a long time ago by the relevant governmental department and it was given a fat green light, hence why an extremely wealthy knowledgeable investor like Kretinsky has taken the time to put the bid together....
If he thought for one minute he'd be blocked it wouldn't be happening.
Government block? Can they do that?
I would of thought any potential risk like that would have been ironed out early on, with these sizable business deals.
Or if they go for 75% majority using the scheme of arrangement. . . Still don’t think he’ll get there
Congratulations Carrington.
The thing I find so frustrating about all of this is the comment from IDS that they have been asking the Govt with USO help for FOUR years. I expect the Govt are now having to stop chasing their secretaries and do something....watch out for a sudden announcement from them and then more inactivity. Not sure if I'm cynical or a realist (or both).
But I’ll take the 10p dividend.
Well he needs 90% of shares to take my shares off me. Don’t think he’ll get there I’m afraid so maybe I’ll keep my oar in.
Sean989 - Well the dividend does count because its adding another 10p per share to shareholders. Lol.
Ultimately the shareholders will decide so it doesn't really matter whether you think it's a derisory offer or not.
A vote is a vote.
Sean 989 100% agree with you
