Some very chunky buys forced the barrow boys to move the bid off 107 never realistic imo. Strange we have had this vol of interest on a Fri afternoon might be a precursor to upcoming news? Whatever sellers have been caught out which reinforces my masterly inactivity stance.
Looks like 678,000 and 150,000 share buys this morning have got things going nicely.
Little happened yesterday trading down to a trickle just 4 bargains dealt. One glaring deal a sell of c.249k at 109.5 stood out but had zero impact. The 350Tech is off 13% ytd and 10.5% on 52 wk basis. Gains on the day...Sage, E Data and GB Group.
Yet another all blue day...ok one -- possibly two sellers kept the stock mired in the 109-111 range. Frustrating for recent buyers for sure but this is an Aim stock after all and is much more dependent on newsflow than the large ftse stocks.....not that the newsflow aint forthcoming...far from it, plenty of it and all positive but the sp could be 'toppy' awaiting a stock-buster deal which might be in the pipeline. Whatever I feel the shares will appreciate I just dont know when -- hence buy and hold is the best strategy smoothing out the ups & downs.
See no reason to alter my nos taken from Idea AR. Have a good one TT....
Morning JohnLewis. Profit No's came from the yearly Annual Reports. Yield No's from DigitalLook.
Another solid blue trades day...no sells nothing moves the sp...wonder why....hmmm?
Morning TT not sure where you get your nos from but ebita for the stock for '16 &'17 totalled £14.2m and cash £10.5m on a total turnover of £49m now that aint bad. We will have to agree to disagree on the div issue but I take your point as its a plus point for the stock, mind you I wouldn't mind shares in lieu of cash if that was an option. Whatever priority no 1 is to boost turnover significantly.....no top line no sfa!
Hi John Lewis, don't want to start a was but I'm not to certain why you want to take issue. The last 5 years have seen a total net profit of 2 Mill. I think that's low. We've paid dividends for the last 4 years at an average yield of less than 0.3%. I think that's low. While you have a good point about keeping cash for acquisitions even if the dividend was increased by 50% (not that I'm advocating that) it still wouldn't cost that much and still be well under a yield of 0.5% which in my book would still be low. As I've said future profits are forecast to increase strongly so there is room to manoeuvre the dividend in a controlled sustainable way.
TruroTrader have to take issue with your comment ' low div and profits' so far. Ebita as a % of the top line (30%) is very good and improving. Im not worried about divs as id rather see the money ploughed back into growing the business. For a co whose annual revenues are under £30m i think its a largess to be paying divs --however good the bottom line is. Doubt the iis would agree with me on that score! An all blue bargains day some chunky buys late on, the sp still unmoved in 'parked' mode.
I'm not expecting that strong a growth in the sp as we have a high mk and low dividend and profits so far. However as better profits are forecast I will be happy to see steady increased dividends pushing up the sp at a steady rate and, importantly, at a long term sustainable rate. This is of course barring a takeover or some sort of mega acquisition - but I'm happy with long term solid growth.
Sellers taking near 109 buyers 110 (last trades) on another very quiet day vol 22k & 5 deals. Happy to practice some masterly inactivity while the share is 'parked' in the long term rank.
Wan Disco (AIM) results.....losses rose to c. £10m on turnover of £14.10m -- market Cap £317m. Idea mrkt cap c.£220m --- £10m in profit no debt and paying dividends. Hey ho!
Little to add on the days performance (u/c) investors cont to ignore the cash till being rung up regularly -- as Idea add overseas companies to their rosta the latest Engro a $billion turnover outfit. This will prove valuable should a hard Brexit deal cause our trade with Europe to be damaged. 350Tech barely changed....sellers taking 108.8 and buyers 110.4.
Buy vols shudda pushed the sp down....have the barrow boys changed their pos?...I doubt it.
Get the picture?
IDEA's first contract win in Pakistan - I was previously unaware of Engro, but it has over 1 billion of turnover: https://www.ideagen.com/company/news/engro-corporation-implements-software-from-ideagen/#utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Social%20Update&utm_content=Press%20Release The multi-national corporation becomes Ideagens first client in Pakistan Ideagen has agreed a project with a multinational corporation in Pakistan to automate its internal audit operations. Engro Corporation, based in Karachi with subsidiaries across the globe, will implement Ideagens Pentana Audit software solution. Engro is one of Pakistans most progressive, growth oriented organisations and is involved in the production and distribution of fertilisers, foods, chemicals, energy and petrochemicals worldwide. Pentana Audit will enable Engro to automate its internal audit department and associated processes, replacing manual and paper documentation as it modernises its complete auditing landscape. etc.
Reccomendations....in a huge growth area for Idea...as usual the mrkt looking at the corner shop.
New contract win for Ideagen its first in Pakistan. Engro will adopt Pentana tor its internal audit automation. Engro based in Karachi has subsidiaries across the world.
About 225k went through at 110 --sellers were given short shrift at 108-ish. Total trades around 17 and vol of near 300k on the day was better than last few days. Tech 350 up 14 (1552) but down over last 5 days.
Bit of two-ing and fro-ing on the trades front....don't mean anything buys v sells - forget it means zilch. Hard work if your a day trader the barrow boys see you coming a mile off. Gut feeling this is lower short term as the upside is limited imo to c.120-130 max which given the shares outstanding might be the limit on metrics. I won't go into them now as I'm sure you can do your own research. For Idea to really move out of the backwaters of Aim its gonna need a big move up either by acquisition or interest from the USA. Neither of which are on the cards to date. Not to say present malaise can't change in an instant given the manipulation of the stock....and this includes going lower...a lot lower.
Most shorted shares on Aim as of 3/18. Telit 10.8% - IQE 10.7% Purple bricks 2.6% - Prospex OG 1.5% - Blue Prism 1.4%. The All Aim is 2.2% down ytd the best performer on the London market.
Little to add 21 deals c.147k traded mostly buys but the mrkt doesn't want this higher... make of that what you want. Pretty much unchanged on the week the shares went xd and the T350 fell 2.4% and ytd down c.14%. The wider mrkt 100 fell 175 on the wk (7069) down 8% ytd and below the level on 1/1/2017. That we are not much lower given the shambles of the Government negotiations on Brexit is a mystery. I cannot see the markets making headway until we secure a good trade deal now muddied further by Trumps threat of imposing Tarrifs which might provoke a trade war with the EU, China & Canada. Against just these two uncertainties the market aint headed North.
A good few buys going in...but the barrow boys are obviously long the stock and are happy to trade this in a narrow range as future direction is very uncertain. Best keep it u/c & their books square. While the odd buyer appears the jobbers will be hoping to catch the unwary with their troosers down. Dont blame them - its their cash at risk and managing a small vol Aim quote is extremely risky. A very risky sell atm for short termers imo but I'm guessing of course. Us longs can lie back and look to sunnier climes -- safe in the knowledge that whatever the 'noise' says the money keeps rolling in even if the rest of the mrkt needs a blood transfusion as pis desert this 'dodgy' (that's about as polite as I can be) market. Stay on the sidelines and watch....thats what im doing. Doubt there will be a 'Black Swan' event in the near future but fingers crossed a bid would put the stock out of its misery loves Aim company and give the 110's a small profit. If your thinking 200+ forget it.
Idea went xd yesterday.
