Maraab, over £2.00 def. I see the rise in capacity, rise in number of flights/passengers as reported on many !!! websites!!!! plus a few other things which I will not go into detail here..I think it was all depending on the fact that US travel would restart in NOV/DEC and the actual date (8th November) was very positive news. A380's would not be coming back so early if demand was not there. A big chunk of savings which people have amassed during the last couple of years will be spent on holidays/visiting relatives abroad. This is going to be a winter like no other for travel, i believe. Sentiment towards travel stocks will /can return very quickly. DYOR though.
@BB - London to Lagos was one of BA's most profitable pre covid routes. 4 weekly flights with club world 95%+ full. The recent codeshare deal signed with Kenya Airways will only enhance their African presence.
Where is all the IAG hate coming from? Yes they have taken on lots of covid debt, but as far as airlines go they are a leader in the western world. People forget that the last results pre covid reported a 4 billion Euro operating profit. This is an airline Group that was flourishing pre covid, not struggling. Thomas Cook comparisons are laughable and show a lack of industry knowledge.
Oh I do like to see a nice positive rise in the closing auction, I hope everyone is strapped in for the party next week.
Fugassin, not listening to a clown!! What time is circus opening tonight?? Time to get ready yet??!!LOL.
SunDunce, you do tho.
RI cometh amd your imaginary iag shares will be wiped out.
Massive debts, massive weekly cash burn.
Iag barks.
BB, that is the caveat...when last results were reported IAG did not know for sure when US market would reopen. Now they know and bookings are soaring. It will be interesting but when people like little fugassin come out with silly remarks, one has to laugh at that!! Why would anyone listen to fugassin? I feel sorry for those that do!! I certainly don't and never will. DYOR.
Honest opinion sunndee what you thing mid term on this sp i think 200 mate and thats it i can not see it moving any further with all the debt and market i do hope we get competitive but its a cut throat market now bud , thoughts bud
Massive debts. €195m per week cash burn. Could actually be closer to €270m pw according to ft.com
RI coming, 142p is mailed on but I believe penny share status is looking likely in the months ahead.
"Unsurprisingly, IAG’s CEO Luis Gallego declined to offer a financial outlook for the second half of the year, citing uncertainty over travel restrictions and the ongoing impact of Covid-19."
This is caveat I have flagged up a few times only to be denied by rampers. Interesting it is cited in an article leading up to the results.......
Media becoming bearish too. Lol.
When British Airway-owner IAG reported its half-year results at the end of July, it cushioned the blow of an operating loss of $2.18bn by highlighting the reopening of the transatlantic travel corridor as a positive development for the months ahead. Indeed, across the industry it was hoped that the lifting of overseas travel restrictions would provide a much-needed fillip to airlines, as they look to ramp up capacity to meet pent-up demand. Unfortunately for the airlines, the light at the end of a very long tunnel seems to be the train of rising fuel costs, higher airport charges and the prospect of further Covid restrictions.
Unsurprisingly, IAG’s CEO Luis Gallego declined to offer a financial outlook for the second half of the year, citing uncertainty over travel restrictions and the ongoing impact of Covid-19. Although the US and the UK are in the process of removing travel restrictions, uncertainty persists. Consumer confidence in air travel remains patchy, while in Asia infection rates are rising again, bringing another round of travel restrictions. IAG said that Q3 capacity would rise to 45% of pre-pandemic levels. It will be interesting to see if this target was met when the company announces its Q3 results.
SunDunce is a bit simple.
Pro shorts mounting, massive debt, ri cometh.
That means wipe out for many. Thats the stock market 4 ya.
Fugassin, why would you care?? You have not got 1 pence to your name to invest so it should not make any difference to you!! LMFAO!
Where does BA have a monopoly in Africa? I am intrigued. Do they fly with flares and chaff by any chance?
SunDunce
Looking forward to your ramping reactions when iag collapse on the awaited rns.
Do you think pro shorts are accruing because of a full plane somewhere in Africa?
Lol pmsl.
sundee got a tadger any way
Pluckytrader my opionion is that this sp will grow but will take a long time may be 3-5 years but will grow so if you want to leave long term up to you i can not see this jumping up . i may be wrong bud , im out at 200p as i think there's too much debt
Little Fugassin, by saying what you have just said about not having full flights to certain destinations in Africa during the pandemic and now, you do look like a clown...you have just confirmed to everyone your knowledge is very limited!! Bless you!!YOU ARE comedy gold!! DYOR.
Iag will get hammered next week due to COP meeting.
And another hammering on November 5th.
Pop corn at the ready.
mararab - I'm a complete novice, only invested for about £700 with IAG at this time hence would hope that this bulletin board would be a place to come to get some proper insight into this share and some constructive advice, rather than you few cretins constantly giving it the "my nobs bigger than your nob" rubbish.
Makes me giggle when posters put ohhh more flights flying , i see more flights in the sky , for god sake get a grip . A price war is comming now the markets are opening up and BA better get there pricing in order or the arabs airlines , usa airlines will take the , there no loyalty just cheap tickets
