Im now hearing that contractors have been paid late for the past few weeks. Millions of pounds is owed to its contractors. Not looking good.
Has been topping up in June: http://www.fool.co.uk/investing/2015/07/16/neil-woodford-buys-newriver-retail-limited-and-more-centrica-plc-imperial-tobacco-group-plc-next-plc-homeserve-plc/
Cannot see the benefit of it. We will have a share consolidation, 13 shares for every 14 held to stop the price reducing when the special div goes ex. So all in all we pay for it ourselves. Why did they not just buy the shares with the money instead, and then placed them within treasury? That would have been more tax efficient and better for the company and us shareholders. A simple job, made hard.
of 30p - very welcome indeed. Surprised the share price hasn't gone up more?
Have sold the lot today, at 374.5. Now looking for a drop.
I will sell half, on Thursday, and then keep the other half for insurance for Friday, if they go up then I will hold them, if they go down I will buy back.
Based on this rise, numbers must be excellent - from 323 on 3march to now nearly 50 pence higher. Somebody must know something. just wonder if this is expectation vs reality - may sell on Thursday in anticipation of drop on Friday and take a quick profit.
Friday update, anything to do with it. Maybe numbers are good?
None whatsoever. I'm torn between glee and bewilderment.
Any ideas why the rise apart from that big buy at the end?
Looks like British Gas and SSE are marketing smart products to the home using their energy supply route. Does anyone think that Homeserve will build their own energy supply business - think that makes sense in the UK?
I see there have been a couple of braker ratings and I keep getting google alerts about affinity partnerships in the US. Anyone else got insight?
£4 is that a prediction? If so why?
£4
not bad trading today here
Anyone know why its dropped 20p in the last week, got some shares that I am ready to sell?
Going up nicely beyond previous range now. Invesco part sell-off cleared?
Market relieved that this is now out of the way, hence 4% rise today?
Homeserve logo Homeserve (LON:HSV) was upgraded by research analysts at UBS AG to a “buy” rating in a report released on Friday
http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/64737/investors-warm-to-homeserve-after-ubs-upgrade-64737.html Actually over 9% up in the end.
Well I agree , lets face it USA are unlikely to commit financial and political suicide yet so it should creep back up and the continued affinity partnerships being set up will drive progress through a crisis I hope.
Due to US exposure and fear of not reaching solution to debt crisis? Now resolved so back up?
