No brainer at this price.!
GLA
A company that profits by ripping off vulnerable customers. Hopefully the new insurance legislation will stop them doing this.
Nasty company, looks like it has nasty investors as well.
I'll post what I like, who do you think you are to tell me what I can and can't post.
Dipped my toe in here yesterday at 950, will top up at 850 should it get there....
Are u joking?? Its a business at the end of the day and not a charity... stop posting **** like that ????
Terrible company. They increased my mother's boiler cover by 30% to £60 per month. I have cancelled the cover, it is a rip off.
I work for them - This has defo been oversold -
It's a great company, great place to work, great people,. Yes a bad decision on the system that has just been wrote off but this is a profit making company which has gone global. This share price will recover like it always does. How it's dropped today I don't know, the news was good!
I know its not the company you normaly buy into for the sake of divs, but with each dip in sp divs % goes up. Atm I think its around 2.6% annual. If it hits 800p and retests covid lows Ill add more. Divs % would then be 3.25% annual.
Director buys should be a must now. Surely they should see value here too.
Sp heavily oversold on most timeframes.
Drop totally un warranted - expecting a rebound over next few days.
Enjoy the laugh Ramboo, speak as a former customer, not as a shareholder.
But seeing little up in the past 6 month I sold up too.
kozz Your comment make me laugh too much You must be drunk Wake up
This is up on costs saved due to Covid, but otherwise an awful company, poor service, poor communication, may they enjoy the temporary shine, but I believe people will leave in droves once pandemic has eased.
yes but who to vote for. the right to continue this nonsense and higher taxes to come or the left to continue this nonsense and even higher taxes to come. generally the world has moved forward as people haven't accepted their fates but where we are today, it does appear we will be close to breaking down if we don't stop digging a hole.
moorhey depends where your information source is, most media is fake as are covid numbers, doctors asked to write deaths sown to covid regardless, the series prisoner represent today, people brainwashed by media hype, camera watching every move, Serco Digital Tracker false positives, alternative view suppressed, full to capacity does not mean a hospital is full, their covid capacity can be 10 beds, done to convince us they are full, a trick brainwash, can you follow me? Back to my economy view....
Pity that the UK is in lock-down, old Jono trying to alter nature, bankrupt the country in the process.
I hope people will speak at local elections, next May, get rid of this dictatorship and complicit main opposition, destroyed interest rates, November NSi 0.01% virtually zero, hold our investment in limbo, a fascist regime of control.
Does he realise we survived 2020 years with our immunity building, must be a daft lad...
… looks like positive news! The SP is up 6% today and with a new administration taking charge in the US we should see more organisation and improved well-being bringing confidence back into the US domestic market.
Woolworth: I've tried reading your last couple of posts but they are incoherent. As you refer to "The Prisoner" from the 1960's I assume you are about the same age as me, early 60's.
On one point I agree, individuals mean nothing to any government, and that can make any isolated individuals (and you may be one) feel worthless.
As for hospitals, the NHS has not sent those with Covid to every hospital. That would be pure stupidity.
Where I live in Sussex, we have two hospitals: one accepts Covid sufferers, the other is Covid-free.
If every area in UK is the same, then half the hospitals are covid-free, meaning the 220,000 tested positive in hospital are shared between (1257 hospitals / 2) 629 hospitals = 350 patients per hospital on average. But we know Covid is concentrated around the cities of London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool, so in some areas there will be only a few patients with Covid.
The stats on the ONS website (Office for National Statistics) are very clear: people under the age of 40yo may catch Covid, but are unlikely to die; people over 65yo who catch Covid will die at a rate of 145 in every 1000 (calculated from 32,000 dead from 220,000 tested positive, with 95% of deaths in those aged 65yo+) - that is a horrendous death-rate, when there are 17 million aged 65yo plus. If that continues, we could see deaths of over 2 million.
There are only 2 ways to stop the virus: 1) a vaccine - which we do not have, and 2) isolation - which prevents catching it.
Owls imho in isolation we (cant build immunity), I have a different viewing based on the fact we are numbers, we mean nothing to world/country leader, Patrick McGoohan number 7 springs to mind :) Small cut off UK village of brainwashed peeps, great series. However it gives insight into possibilities,. When we saw Star Trek talking into wrist watch, we thought they were bonkers, beam me up Scottie lol.
moorhey. Country official covid numbers right/wrong can be calculated by dividing them into UK NHS hospital, give an average per hospital.? To put into perspective how busy or not, each UK hospital is, most hospital appointments cancelled, blood dept empty, AE few customers and so on...
You actually believe that a country leaders care if we live/die, do we care if person number 123456789 dies NOPE.! we don't know of him/her.
They have to be seen too care, politicians are trained actors also schooled in gesture to put on a front and grab our attention.
Yes youtube but I think outside the box, the current situation doesn't make sense to me (live/die comment) it cant continue regardless of any virus, if it does' we'll all be scrounging on the street and killing each other for a crumb of bread -:)
Woolworth,
I would agree with you that the government has made a mess of all this, concentrating on Covid-19 and ignoring other illnesses has probably resulted in more deaths overall.
I'm not one for conspiracy theories, I'm afraid incompetency is probably the issue here.
Hi Woolworth, you've been watching a lot of youTube eh? Thing is, there is life outside.
Regarding the deaths due to Covid-19, nobody will have a definitive answer as we've not been testing or keeping records - the only reliable statistic is the number of the dead.
Your little calculation on people at hospital is so wrong, that I'm wondering if I should start with one apple plus another apple equals???? Yes, 2 apple's - unless you believe in conspiracy theories and then it's either 3 apples or no apples.
As I said, we've no reliable stats as we've not done enough testing, but we can assume that people are dying of something. In week ending 17th April in just England & Wales 22,351 people died, and the average for the last 5 years for the same week was 10,497. So, if you think Covid is a conspiracy, what did the extra 12,000 people die of? Perhaps it was boredom watching YouTube?
If there was a conspiracy, it was herd-immunity, until someone mentioned to Boris that 1.25 million dead bodies in 3-months might stink a bit come June.
Some say figure are incorrect, deaths are being directed at the virus, the alternative media say, simple calculation anyone can do, by the way many hospital including AE empty, most hospital appointments cancelled including mine the wife's.
Use media death number say 27000, although probably incorrect, then divide the number by 1257 hospitals, that will give an average covid patient at each hospital, these aren't my calculations 2700 divided by 1257 hospital, average numbers 21 people each hospital. In comparison how many cancer pneumonia etc patients in each hospital.? Our armed forces lost life and limb sent to war by our leaders, do we clap them nightly.

So have 27,000 people not died ?
Should get the jist of it, put in other words we are being controlled, ready for cashless society, no private rented property, no one manning tills or petrol stations etc etc.. How the heck did the PM get people to stand at their door, clapping into fresh air, stand 2m apart, queue at all shops, collapse world economy, think outside the box its quite easy imo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhxAIOhCPHQ
Can you summarise quickly what it says, it goes on for over an hour.
Worth a listen and spread round imo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XddHTPNLPLY
Compared to many companies and given the circumstances, a fairly positive trading update. There is a good chance it could make it into the FTSE100 next rebalance which will also help lift the share price.
