I am hoping we can get into the high 70's now and agree we are moving towards a takeover, I would not be surprised if discussions have already started. However BCD might have a very good holding but do not rule out Dnata this could play out very well for investors, it would be even worth buying in again at this price.
Some strange holding RNSs today, seems that BCD has changed which company is holding the shares but looks from the last one that they have now 25% of the shares. This has stood still for a very long time at , I believe 23%, and why would they increase the holding if they are not after a takeover which will be triggered at 29%. Have waited for several years for this, so lets hope tings will happen. Wonder if price will move over 70 this week or maybe higher?
absolutely remember, thank you, I am also in XTR Just saw a delayed transaction here of a buy for 237.000 pounds on the 7th, somebody either knows somebody or is very confident !
'To develop' the multiple assets
Yes Prem very interesting. I pointed you there if you recall. Great rns this am too. I am also watching XTR. It's a bit difficult to get your head around though (for me at least). What I like about Prem is that it's actually a very straightforward share with a CEO who has a clear plan the multiple assets held by the company in pretty short order. Good luck.
Greece is obviously a dampener but in terms of HRG very little direct impact. This is the time that all the clever heads we have been paying fro in Europe all these years get their heads in gear and sort out a solution that will give some stability for a some years. It is such a small amount of GDP compared to the rest of the world but it creates a psychological barrier and therefore even if it cost some billions it must be sorted out. The interesting part is that UK which have so little exposure in Greece has dropped over 10% from its highs, Germany a bit more and this is when teh economy in general is on the way up so in my view it is clear that once we have a solution we will move towards and past the 7000 again certainly imo before teh end of the year but probably before. HRG has held up very well considering and if then can ride on the move upwards again it si looking fine. See you are also in PREM, good day today , interesting share and potential there as well. Also keeping an eye on XTR.
I see you have been doing well here lately Buller. Well done. It's been a bit of a roller coaster elsewhere hasn't it? Still, should hopefully get a boost soon from news. I just hope Greece doesn't overshadow things too much.
@buller, I agree, nice steady rise over the last qtr and there have been some chunky buys - yet very little in the way of updates - a good sign imho
very nice and welcome rise this week. I have never seen on this share the activity that we saw the last 10 minutes last evening. more trades in that period that we sometimes have seen in a month. NOt big deals but steady buying. I don't know what it means, further stakebuilding in small portions? signal to market? or what? ANy ideas? at least we are moving very much in the right direction towards recent highs. A little way to go and then we can hopefully move toward the 3 figures or there is always the hope of a takeover bid which could send us really flying.
Month so far for HRG not really much happening would like to hopefully get into the 70's sooner rather than later.
nothing really significant. Of course they had a CFO before, He resigned a few months ago and left a few weeks ago. The new appointment has been in HRg for several years, good reputation and track record, shouldn't make any difference, certainly in on a negative way
APPOINTMENT OF NEW GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR What if any is the significance of this? Did HRG not have one before!?
Agreed, Good volumes again this morning - interesting to see what happens between now and AGM
buy/see it his hard to see but big bucks, keeping a very close eye on this
another big buy today (1%) following on from 18 May purchase - also interesting that designated Chairman has stepped away ...hmmmmmmmm
In case you haven't seen it this apparently gets a mention in the Investors Chronical, summarised today in Money Week.
absolutely, enjoying a lot of rides just now, interesting times both here, there and elsewhere is you see what I mean!
Hey - I hope you are enjoying the ride this morning at you know where!?
don't worry, I get told off all the time because I can see through the ramper games. I only bother about opinions from people I respect. For me I am here not to be told that a share I hold is great , that seems to be the main conversation on most of the forums. These guys belong in a fan group on facebook. I want to hear nuances, pros and cons, strategies and ideas for new shares to research, so keep on posting! Obviously hope this goes up but taking a profit can never be wrong. Money in the pocket and all that!
Thanks for the info, and I will certainly keep an eye on this and maybe buy back in at some point. Funnily enough, I got ticked off on the PREM board for 'promoting' other shares! I should have thought it was much more helpful to give like minded PIs a few pointers than post drivel like some, or blatantly ramp/deramp. I only give the bare facts and leave it to others to research and decide. Maybe the answer is to just mention other shares to specific posters rather than post generally. Anyway, I am more than happy to share info with others that seem genuine/sensible. As you say, I should have thought that was what these boards are for. Anyway glad you are in PREM and hope we both do well out of it!
Thanks mate, I always appreciate any hints on other shares, impossible for all of us to follow everything nd hat is what I think these forums should be for, but on most there is far to much bickering and ramping to be able to get a proper overview. I spent an hour on Prem this morning and it looks like over the next 6 months there could be graet returns so put a few thou in there. I am playing about on SER at the moment, a company I know inside out have followed for 6 years , luck as some of very few to make money on it as the old regime thre was totally corrupt and driving the company straight into the ground. It was saved last minute by some string money people , IT is now an empty shell but waiting for a new CEO and the first assettt should be bought within next few weeks, might hear already Tuesday and if it takes off tehn the present price should long gone. Also in XTR at the moment, so that is my triple play. If one multiplies by New year, I am happy if all 3 does it is the jackpot. I know a fair amount about HRG , happen to be the business I deal with which is why I got attracted when it dropped to 5 p 6 years ago. It was a totally crazy an d unjustified price and I have made great money on them! They are seriously undervalued compared to other companies in the sector (only one listed but I know every one that has been sold in recent times). Should be at least 50% higher but they do have still too many staff for turnover compared to major competitors and carrying a liability in terms of the pension pot. However 2 other companies in the sector , BCD and DNATA, one hostile and one friendly owns over 20% of HRG each and one day one of them or hopefully both will go for a bid moving to 29% where they have to put a bid. That is what I am waiting for , been waiting some time but the CEO who controls every thing in the company is in his 60's now and might wish to cash in. Only between 10 and 15% of the company shares in general circulation. The rest owned by the companies above, directors, institutions and other sharehodlers like myself who wont sell for now. In view of that the last few days have seen some major buys which always makes me think , this could be it ! Anyway 20% this week with the number of shares I hold , that is serious money so I am delighted! Goodluck and keep posting even if you don't hold thold.
Thanks Buller. I don't rule out coming back in here at some stage. To be truthful, I don't really understand the business as much as I would like, but it seems to be be doing ok and I wish you luck with it. Let me know here or on the PREM board what you think of it. I have just posted some other companies on there that I like too. If you fancy PREM though you might have to move fast to get the best of it. Things are happening very quickly. I got a reasonable profit for my HRG shares, but amazingly I gained 20% in a day having used the cash to top up PREM. I rarely get it that right! Sadly my initial purchase was at a much higher price so I have only just with the most recent purchase got into the blue, but it's looking very promising. All the best.
sorry to hear that but always good to take a good profit which I trust you got. I do have a wide spread of shares and move around a fair bit but these I will not even consider selling under 80. A good dividend income, very little risk and a big opportunity of a takeover bid at some stage which would take them above 100 imo. Will have a look at Prem and good luck to you!
....my Hogg Robinson shares and put the cash into PREM which is looking great.
http://www.directorstalkinterviews.com/hogg-robinson-group-plc-49-5-potential-upside-indicated-by-canaccord-genuity/412664034 They say 49.5% but mean 49.5 since their target is double so that makes it double todays opening price could be an excellent year ahead
